Ruth's Chris Steak House - Beverly Hills Ratings and Reviews
We have always loved Ruth Chris's steakhouse. I mostly order the Petite Filet Mignon, with extra butter, with a side of Bernaise sauce. It is truly great steak! Also like to split the baked potato which is huge with everything on it. Only disappointment this time was the asparagus side dish. It was quite cold, and the lower part of them had not been trimmed so eating cold and tough asparagus was not too fun, so I would not order again (and told my waiter as well my opinion). My husband ordered a larger filet, which we brought home. Loved the cocktails, and the crab cake appetizer, and still love Ruth Chris steakhouse, but try to keep the prices down for those of us who have been coming there for at least 30 years.
My husband and I have lived all over the country, and try to eat at the nearby Ruth's Chris, no matter where we live. This was our first visit after a move to CA, and the Beverly Hills location did not disappoint. You can't go wrong with steaks cooked in butter with blue cheese crust, and sweet potato casserole! Yum!
This Beverly Hills location is my favorite of the many in the chain and I’ve even dined at the original in New Orleans
The ribeyes are more flavorful and never have sinue/bands, they are more tender and I feel cooked better ALWAYS right on with Med Rare!
The lobster tails were also some of the best I’ve ever had
Highly recommend this location
4 of us arrived for a birthday dinner; hostess failed to prepare table with Birthday Menu and confetti. Server was slow, talked too much, interrupted our conversations. Crowded restaurant with tables right next to each other; dark restrooms; no salmon on menu; We love Ruth Chris Pasadena, but wont' be back to Beverly Hills location. Highly recommend Pasadena location.
I love Ruth's Chris and have been a frequent customer for many years. I have been to many of the restaurants including this one. The food is always reliable and our server was great, however the overall service was really poor. Food was brought to the table prior to the cleaning of the previous course. The table was a mess. Little attention to detail. For the price, the service should be fine dining and this was not. The quality of the steak is so good, the service should be too!
Long time Ruth's Chris fan, but first time to this particular location... and it's now my favorite! Great ambiance. Old school classiness, great service and phenomenal food! Excellent Shrimp Cocktail as appetizer. .. plump, large and full of fresh flavor. Wife and I shared house salad, which was just the right amount to share before entrees. My go-to steak, bone-in New York, was perfectly cooked... charred on outside and medium-rare on inside. Delicious! Wife had Chilean Sea Bass, outstanding as well. Four of us in party, celebrating friend's birthday. Waiter, Michael, brought out personalized cheesecake with friend's name on it spelled out in chocolate. It was an entre mini-cheesecake, plenty big for the four of us to share.
An overall great experience. Only negatives were that we weren't seated until 9:30 PM for our 8:15 reservation, and cocktail at bar was extremely weak. I highly recommend Ruth's Chris, Beverly Hills.
We have been customers for almost 30 years but not anymore. The food was mediocre at best, the sides were not up to standards. The worst was the service. Neither the waitresses nor the busboy thought it was important to serve us. We had to ask for EVERYTHING from water to having them remove plates that had been sitting for a while.
The lack of enforcement of the posted dress code was appalling. There were guests there in sweat pants, graphic and spirit sweatshirts, guys wearing graphic tees and baseball caps. There is no way I would plan a special dinner here. Things have clearly changed.
The food was superb and the service was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone who was looking for an wonderful meal. The one note is that you get what you pay for; this is not a cheap place to eat at, but it is worth the price for any special occasion.
I’ve been going to this restaurant regularly for 20 years. Tonight was unfortunately an off night. First I went to the ladies room while we waited for our table. The bathroom was dirty, a bottle of Dial hand soap sat on the sloppy, wet vanity. Unimpressed. Then the apps came but the mushroom stuffed with crab were not edible. I order them every time and these were awful. We didn’t eat them and our waiter was nice enough to ask if we wanted something else instead. We passed as we had ordered our favorites and knew our salads were coming. But they left the returned food on the check! Disappointing meal for $500. Service was good but the management should have stepped in, cleaned the restroom, put soap in the dispenser and taken the lousy $11 appetizer off our check. Will not be going back anytime soon. It felt like an Outback Steakhouse... not like fine dining.
