We started at the bar - the happy hour menu is short has a good selection. Tuna Tartar was excellent! The happy hour red wine (there's only one) was smooth. Dinner was delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection - we shared the 44oz steak. Everyone was attentive and kind. Great Service. One thing to watch - the happy hour menu is only on the one side of the happy hour 'card'. The other side has the $24 drinks that are totally NOT worth it.
Bobby and Will were great.
Manager was kind of crazy and VERY LOUD! 😊
Consistently good food and service.
It was Easter at 6:30 pm. Maybe not a good idea to have so many tired and rambunctious young children in the main area of the restaurant. Knocking over chairs, yapping continuously while Mom just clicks through the Iphone, banging silver ware on the table. It's an adult restaurant first and foremost. But it felt like a pizza place.
Great food and service
Excellent service with genuine professional attitudes.
Great wait staff and the food is always wonderful
A “modest” check average for a dinner for two is $175.00 plus tip. Is it worth it? Yes!
RC Bethesda is an elegant restaurant, with comfortable seating. The hook for us has always been the quality of the food. My wife and I opted for the inclusive dinners. Entree choices are generous, appetizer choices are limited, as is the “one dessert” choice. You can “upgrade” for extra money, but one or two more desserts added to the selection would round out the inclusive selection nicely.
I started off my review with the price tag, $209.00 including tip, for two. And we did not splurge!
Two cocktails, a glass of wine, and two dinner specials.
I requested a side glass of ice with my martini that never came.
The tomato soup was of average quality, the romaine wedge was nicely done, the homemade dressing was really good.
The entrees arrived as I took the last bite of my salad. Service is rushed for no good reason. A month earlier, our entree ($98.00 porterhouse for 2) arrived 5 minutes after our salads were served. For this price, service needs to be better timed, spaced.
The ribeye and the generous 11-ounce filet were perfect. The sides, spinach and Spanish fingerlings were also good.
We opted for the included desert, bananas Foster cheesecake with ice cream. The ice cream was mediocre, Baskin Robbins serves better vanilla ice cream. The banana infused cheesecake was good. A fresh-fruit sorbet or a small dish with fresh berries and cream would be great alternative offerings.
A month ago we asked for decaf cappuccino, and were told they were unavailable. We asked again this time, and our waiter said they had them. We told him about our experience a month earlier, he said that they were available then.
A month ago our meal was a disappointment because our server was weak.
This time, forgetting the glass of ice and rushed entree service, a remarkably nice turnaround for service.
The food deserves a high grade. We’ll be back.
We can always count on a delicious, well-prepared steak dinner at Ruth's. Our last meal there was yummy and the 22 oz. cowboy ribeye steak we shared came out just the way we ordered it. Our server was terrific as were all other employees with whom we came in contact. Our only criticism was that the bread on the table was so unremarkable, it diminished (only slightly) the excellence of the overall dining experience. We actually spoke to the manager and asked her to register our complaint to the corporate office. The bread we had eaten on previous visits was far superior to the present version.
Great food and great service at the Bar! I like eating in there more as you can people watch, catch some sports not he tv, and the Bartenders are extremely nice. Loved the stuffed Mushrooms, the Caprese Salad, and the Filet was great as always. Great wine selections and the desert selection is great as well. If you like the Redskin’s, I have seen a couple of the players and their wives there for dinner.
Need better wine server training. Ordered bottle of wine arrived well after main course delivered. Not advised of problem with specific bottle ordered. Main course excellent and well prepared. Side dishes represented to be large and shareable were skimpy and overpriced for quantity.
The waitress was pleasant. Unfortunately she messed up three of the four entrees. I ordered the petite rib eye medium and she brought out the petite fillet well done. My guess is that when the cook went to melt the blue cheese it was done as an after thought. My wife ordered the petite fillet medium rare and she brought it out butterflied and medium well. Why would you cut the meat for medium rare? Timing issue in the kitchen? The 3rd screw up was bar-b-que shrimp came out in a white cream sauce and the ship were almost completely submerged. I have been to Ruth's Chris all over the country and this was this first really bad experience,
Service just ok. Food was good but pricey. For food that is quite expensive, the (main) wait staff should be more attentive. That said, the bus boys and guys pouring the water were very attentive.
My experience at Ruth's Chris is always outstanding.
Food fair for the price, filet was dry not much flavor. Dessert took longer to get than meal. Last time there was 12 years ago, said world not come back. Will not again. Already stopped going the Ruth’s Chris in Gaithersburg due to poor service also. We mentioned the issue to manager who took dessert off the check but did not stop by!! ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY!!! Get it right!!!
Without a doubt one of the better steak houses, if not the best, in the area.
Very good place for dinner and conversation
Nice atmosphere, attentive waiter, great tasting seafood. Would gladly go again and highly recommend.
Everything about that evening was fabulous💖. The waiter was very friendly and the fact that the history of Ruth’s Chris was in the menu was very exciting.
Food incredible as always.
As always! Delicious!! We had the porterhouse steak, creamed spinach, actually took enough home for another meal! Steak and eggs!
We've eaten here many times and it's always been great. This time was a bit of a letdown compared to other experiences. Service was slow at the beginning, one drink ordered was not brought as ordered and another took three tries because they were out of Bourbons that are typically available. My wife's steak was ordered medium rare and came very well done. She sent it back and after ten minutes, they brought one that was barely cooked at all and still purple. She had to send it back a second time. When it arrived the third time, it was cooked correctly, but everyone else was done eating. At a restaurant that prides itself on service and quality and getting things right, I would have expected them to comp her steak as she got it when everyone else was done eating and it was aggravating to get to that point.
My husband and I have been to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse several times. Since it was raining, we were definitely planning to use valet parking. We had to drive around for 20 minutes to find the valet. I would suggest that if a restaurant is going to call and confirm reservations that they, also, advise patrons how and where to locate the valet.
When we finally arrived inside the restaurant, we were led to a table that was right off of the hostess station. When we objected we were shown another table. Since this was the second time that my husband had this exact experience with this restaurant , we will not return.
The food was very good as was our server; but for $200 plus dollars for dinner and 2 glasses of wine good food is a must but good seating is a necessity.
Amazing restaurant but ver very expensive
We got sat at a table where we were virtually alone. Adrian our server was amazing giving us space while taking special care of us. It wasn't only our valentine's dinner it was out last date before we deliver our second child. We drove by another RC location to get to this one and will do it again without a question.
The rib steak and lamb was tough, I was very surprised. Not for those prices.
Waiters should be able to move around the table to serve each patron, not reach over the table.
My concern was the restaurant's pricing and billing integrity.
I have sent a private review to the restaurant.
Birthday. Food was awesome as always! Service not good. Spilled wine, broke cork, looong wait for order & looong wait for bread.
Service slow, ladies rbathrooms dirty with two toilets broken restaurant needs a general facelift....feels old and depressing
Food was good but Chicken was dry and not stuffed. Lobster Mac and cheese is always great. The bbq shrimp are really good also
We went for restaurant week . First of all the fold took forever to come out, then when it came the portion size was so so small. I asked for well done on my steak bit they gave me medium rare. The steak was so so small I was scared if I gave it back I wouldn't be able to eat it cause it might be too over cooked. I really wanted to try their steak it was my first time there and my only time. We spent way to much money and it wasn't worth it. The only thing I like was the sweet potatoe souffle.
I went to the restaurant because I had a $200 gift card. I would say the service was fantastic. All of the food was good. However, I am from Nebraska and I have had better steak for much less money. I think the only reasons I would go to the restaurant would be a special occasion. I personally can't justify spending nearly $200 for 2 people for a single dinner.
We went to Ruth Chris during Restaurant Week 2018. The three course meal did not disappoint.
What we most enjoyed was that the food was served HOT. Vegetable sides are large enough to share. My filet was cooked perfectly. Bread was average. whipped butter had no taste, but my friend thought it was very good. The ambiance is very nice.
Two significant items of disappointment: 1) the steaks were both trimmed poorly, particularly the filet, which was not uniformly shaped around the outside and had more fat and gristle than it should have—a high end steakhouse should do better. 2) our table was tucked in an out-of-the-way corner, which was great for privacy, but it seemed we were mostly forgotten by the wait staff. E.g. We had to ask to have waters refilled, it took forever to get anything.
They were out of our first two wine selections, then in a Steakhouse were out of their signature Tomahawk steak
We were frequently forgotten
I am a regular and this service was incredibly disappointing
I will give Morton’s another shot
Really terrible experience
Salads came so quickly that I remarked to please make sure we our entree does not come out so fast and it arrived while we were eating our salads anyway! Temperature of food was inconsistent - potatoes hot in center but not on outsides of dish - same with creamed spinach, service was inconsistent - took a long time to get a second drink - which they said was because it was being chilled - when it came it was definitely not chilled so I am not sure what I was waiting for, dessert was plopped in front of us, waiter forgot to put things in doggie bag
I left feeling food and experience was nothing special and for the price it should be!
We went there for restaurant week and tried out the menu. It is hard to find parking around the venue, but we parked three blocks away or else you have to use the valet parking. It is good for special occasions but not every day dining because it is very pricey.
Excellent service and excellent food! Nothing more thst I can say!
My husband and I went for our 42nd anniversary during restaurant week. The restaurant was gorgeous and the service impeccable, however we requested our steaks medium rare but they were completely brown and dry.
Very disappointed in that part of the meal but the extra side I ordered (the sweet potato casserole) was incredible !
