Six additional large shrimp
With a hint of roasted garlic
Great, as always! Bartender was friendly and helpful.
Great food and excellent service from Jaden!!
Great booth, great service (thanks Colton), great date night. Only disappointment was the wine, the "special" bottle, the Caymus, was not robust enough for the streak. I'll stick with my own choice not the upsell next time. Not that it will stop us from returning, the food is pricey but amazing and worth every cent.
We ate at Perry's the previous night and paid approximately the same. The filet at Perry's was cooked perfectly, seasoned well and every bite was buttery and flavorful. By comparison, the filet at Ruth's was much firmer, almost dry (while still being cooked rare). The butter running from the mashed potatoes was enough to cover the plate in a layer of about 1/8 of an inch.
My wife and I were both very disappointed with the quality.

It was my birthday. Food was delicious and service was very good.
The steaks were good, they were out of salmon and the sea bass was inedible and sent back (it was too sweet and gelatinous in texture). The service was VERY slow, which they apologized for, but only at the end when we were already annoyed. The shoe string fries were thin very crunchy chips...like for topping a salad with crunch. We wish we passed on those. The fingerling potatoes and onions were delicious. Overall, too much money for a less than ideal experience. We won’t go back as there are better options for a filet.
We truly appreciate your feedback because it helps us improve. This is not at all the experience we aim to provide. So we can learn more, please consider sending us your contact information, including a phone number. Thank you
Great service great meal
It was absolutely great! Food came out fast and was hot and fresh
We came for Valentine’s Day celebration. Late dinner at 10pm. We came and waited at the bar had a drink which was nice area to wait. We were seated at our table which was nicely presented. Now the food... I had lamb chops request medium i had to send back cause they were to pink. My date had the chicken roasted i believe is the name and it takes a longer time we were advised of that but it was a hour for food. When we got our food the waitress dropped the lobster tail on the carry tray then said “ I promise it’s clean” we waited a hour so we worked with her. The lobster tail was cold... like refrigerator cold. She said she would have a new one prepped and sent out. When it came back it was the same one just warmed up..that was upsetting. She ended up taking it off our bill. The chicken was very delicious. Good drinks also.
This wouldn’t stop me from coming back though.
We went t Ruth’s Chris after a show at 10 PM. I was surprised how busy it was. The tired staff did a great job of being friendly, efficient and helpful all night. I had the filet and it was great. We truly enjoyed the meal.
We had a horrible experience on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was not even half-full. There were (at most) 1/3 of the tables sat. We ordered top shelf drinks and food yet had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for our dinner. We were never offered bread, yet were completely starving by the time our food finally came out. We had to get up and find a hostess to find out what was going on. The steaks were medium well when we ordered medium rare- we (again) had to get up and find someone to mention that and they STILL didn’t offer to remake our food and it was borderline inedible it was so chewy and overdone- BUT, we were starving at this point so we ate. The spinach was bland- we had to (again) get up and go ask for salt because no one ever came by to see how things were. The hostess we asked to get us salt said “of course!.” 10 minutes later, when the spinach was now cold, we had to get up (again) and find salt in the bar. We basically waited on ourselves. If we could have refilled our empty drinks, we would have. It was not only a disappointing experience, it ruined our very rare, much anticipated date night. This used to be “our place,” but now, we will probably never go back. If they had been slammed and busy, I’d have been more empathetic. But we spent 250$ on a VERY disappointing and borderline inedible meal and the compensation was them comping one steak. The steak we left hardly touched on the table? Yes, that one.

The first table we sat at was unstable and we have to change tables. Afterwards the service was veryyyyy slow. The kale with ham side was horrible (has a vinegar and very salty taste, had to send it back and replace with asparagus). It took us 2.5 hrs to finally eat. I have never been to a Ruth's Chris and the service was that slow. Not sure if I will be coming back here.

Food was all cold. Service was off. Not the usual showing and certainly a disappointing evening

We have been there many times the way back to the 90s. However, they were overwhelmed with Valentine's Day and it showed greatly. Watching guest from tables get up to get their own plates was a first at Ruth's. Propping the back door open to cool off the restaurant only to let the workers conversations and smoke into the restaurant near the back tables. No bread because they were low on butter. Watching the staff try to deliver food from one table to the next asking did you order...because they did not mark where the food needed to go. Giving up on desert and looking at the steak center as a meat mush that was over tenderized, that may be the last time we try on the exact Valentine's day.
Excellent. Kitchen times were a bit slow. Our reservation was at 6. We were sat at approx 5:50 and completed all courses around 8:15. Server (John) was fantastic and the food was perfect.
It’s Valentines Day, so a bit slower kitchen times are to be expected, but we stared to feel like the entrees were really dragging and the manager came over and apologized.
All in all, a great meal in a nice atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.
We scheduled our reservation for 4:00 p.m. to avoid the Valentine Day rush and there were already quite a few patrons in the dining room. The hostess was very hospitably and immediately wished us a Happy Anniversary. Our waitress was outstanding and extremely attentive to my wife's special needs. She is in recovery from radiation therapy in her mouth and many spices, no matter how mild, can cause severe pain. She experienced no discomfort at all. The food was all delicious and they gave us a coupon for $25.00 off our next visit. I assure you that we will use it.
My husband & I had a great experience here 13 years ago & we finally went back & the experience was just as great! Allie the hostess was very friendly & attentive in letting us know when our table was ready! She checked on us several times!
We enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited a bit for our table. Our drinks were awesome! Our steak was perfectly cooked & our server John was awesome! He was very friendly & made sure our evening was perfect! He even treated us to dessert!
Thank you again for a great evening!!
We had a wonderful time. Excellent!
Great! Good food and friendly staff
Our waiter John was great ! Food was awesome, our Porterhouse was on point! Only bad thing I can say was they don’t offer a military discount ! We flew in from California to enjoy Austin for an early Anniversary & Valentines weekend. My husband is deploying soon so we wanted a special weekend!
Not up to the chains standards. Disappointing
Our waiter, John was excellent. Food was excellent, as always.
My steak, undercooked. My boyfriend’s overcooked. Overall the meal was amazing but
We very likely will never return to this restaurant.
1) our Crab-stuffed mushroom appetizer was blasé. It was merely four medium size mushrooms topped with small globs of a lackluster crab mixture.
2) my wife’s serving of porterhouse-for-two was tough/ hard to chew, ( sirloin side ). How I wish she would have been served the tenderloin ).
3) our lobster mac-and-cheese was similar to #1
Beau was great!
John was a superb waiter, and everything was done to perfection. We were a mixture of adults and teenagers, and the wait staff handled everyone's individual requirements perfectly. Due to weather forecast, there were many cancellations, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves, but never felt rushed to leave. Thanks for a great evening!
Anniversary go to restaurant! Never disappoints!
Our server and bus boy were both incredibly nice. We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation and our steak was tough (we both ordered medium). Overall we were both disappointed in the experience.
We were quite disappointed by our visit on NYE. We arrived 25 minutes early but were still not seated an hour later. If I had not complained at that point, I think we would have waited even longer. The hostess was rude and very flustered. The whole place was unorganized and seriously mismanaged. The service was grossly understaffed and slow. The food was very good, but unfortunately not good enough to make the visit a pleasant experience.
We had a reservation at 7:15 and didn’t get seated until 8:30. The hostess were not apologetic at all.
The food was outstanding and bar staff were great despite how busy it was on New Year's Eve. However, our reservation via Open Table was not actually a reservation. Ruth's Chris does NOT take reservation for bar seating, despite Open Table offering the option. We waited for seats to open up at the bar and ultimately had a great meal and experience, but others should know for future reservation bookings.
Decided to celebrate New Years early. Food was good. However the service was only decent. Our waiter was great when he remembered to get back to our table since we were the only occupied table in the area. The rest were seated at the bar. He was very professional, cordial and funny. Only wished he had paid more attention to us.
Michelle, it appears that your experience could have been better. We would like the opportunity to learn more and gain your feedback on where we can improve. Please consider privately responding with your contact information, including a phone number so we may speak to you directly!
Seafood tower is an excellent choice for a large appetizer. Filet was perfect.
We had a little problem with an extra long wait due to it being Christmas day and the restaurant was short-staffed. Food was below the normal standard as well probably because the kitchen rushed to make our order at the end. But the manager was very polite and took care of us by waiving the bill. We will be back on a different day, since Ruth's Chris has always been a great experience this experience was a fluke.
John, our server, was just wonderful. All of dinner was superb
My wife and I order the steak and lobster plates and both steaks were very under cooked. When we informed our server, he took our plates back to the kitchen and the chef put them under the broiler. When he returned with our steaks, they were BURNT on the outside. We decided not to send them back a second time, but my wife and I were extremely disappointed with the food. We eat out often at high-end steakhouses such as Vince Young’s Sullivan, Fleming's, and Perry’s to name a few; this was our only disappointment at this price point.
Our server, Miles, was excellent. The food is consistently delicious. This is our new favorite place for the holidays.
Gabriel did a great job waiting on us. He was very attentive and friendly
Service was great but steaks came to the table late, not sizzling and a bit cool. Asparagus was overcooked and hollandaise was cold and coagulated. Definitely not what I am used to here. Disappointed.
