Our server Angel was attentive, but not overbearing...our last 2 visits we had issues but this time i asked to be away from the bar (not romantic at all and poor service...totally neglected), and not in the middle room (thats where they seat all the big parties and last time there was some rude obnoxious bachelors there and we were squished in a corner). We sat in the main dining room and this is where I will always request. Dinner was perfect....
While there are many Ruth Chris Steak Houses, we did not feel like we were in a chain. The staff was very attentive, and polite. They offered a bit of a history lesson on the restaurant and how the food is prepared, making suggestions from the menu. The food was excellent, the side dishes were enough for two. We were not rushed, while at the same time payed attention to. We would visit the restaurant again.
Great food as I have come to expect from all the Ruth's Chris locations. The decor was a little lacking compaired to the other locations that I have visited but the service was outstanding and the food was great as always.
As far as I am concerned you can't go wrong with Ruth's Chris.
Over the years I've tried plenty of steak houses to see if they beat R.C. It hasn't happened. The cocktails are tops, sides and salads are exceptional, the steaks simply in a class of their own. Our server (I believe the name was Allison) is a real pro. If there's a place R.C. could up the ante it is in desserts. The selection is narrow. And while our bread pudding had a scrumptious whiskey sauce, the pudding itself was spongy and mushy. That said, I've got to give R.C. an outstanding rating. It's trumpet sing steak and they blow it loudest and sweetest!
I've considered Ruth Chris the best steak I've had with the exception of Kobe Beef. I found them by accident years ago during a trip to Baton Rouge and have looked for them everywhere I go (visited in Florida, Myrtle Beach and Atlantic City). Can't beat the flavor and ambiance. My children tease my wife about going to Ruth Chris and ordering Salmon, but she's calorie conscious so she often opts for fish. She's never disappointed.
Our server, Anthony, in Atlantic City was extremely personable and helpful. He should be commended.
This last visit to Ruth's Chris was just ok, far from the excellant experiances I've had there in the past. I guess it was due to the Restaurant Week in Atlantic City.
I arrived with my party about 10 minutes before my 6:00 reservation and was informed that they were running a little late but our table would be ready in 10 minutes. The hostess suggested that we wait at the bar. The bar was mobbed and no seats were available so we stood at the end but were in the way of staff.
We waited 25 minutes and I complained to the hostess and we were seated about 15 minutes later. Staff was polite, food was fine (not as good as prior visits)not my best visit. Hope it improves.
We had an 8:30 reservation and when we arrived they said they were running a half hour behind. It actually took 45 min to get seated and that was after people came in after us and got seated before us. We were going to leave but at this point invested 45 min of our time at the bar. We were on the fence when the hostess seated us, apologized for the wait, and gave us a round of drinks on the house. She was very nice along with our sever who also apologized for the wait and after taking that first bite of our osso bucco ravioli and tuna sashimi it was all worth the wait. We couldn't wait for the rest of our meal and forgot about how long it took.
We've made the reservation during restaurant week event.
They overbooked and we had to wait 45min to be seated. Since we requested for a particular server when we first made the reservation, they've blamed it on the server being busy. In fact, they never communicate us that will be that long until the server will be available for us, otherwise hunger at first.
At the end we've received a complementary round of beverages (so bad I don't drink alcohol), which didn't really compensate the host's unmannerly attitude.
went on a friday 7pm reservation during Rest. Week. Our party of 4 was running a few minutes behind,called ahead to inform the staff no problems,as they were also running a few minuts behind as well. Seating in no time in a nice tucked into the wall booth. Quick and friendly service, considering how busy they were with 3 big parties. Had the bbq shrimp app, thought shrimp were on the small side and watery,but the sauce was great. Also couldn't find one of the oysters in the oyster rock filling. Filet cooked perfect med-rare. Cheesecake was great and I am not a big cheesecake eater. Used the free valet for the first time, that is a huge plus.
