Ruth's Chris Steak House - Aruba Ratings and Reviews
It is my daughter's and my tradition to visit this Ruth's Chris on our last night in Aruba! It is never a disappointment! We each chose to have their special and enjoyed this unique salad, apples, walnuts and mixed greens. the lobster and filet was perfect (i got all of the lobster she had most of the filet ;-) ). and the dessert was too good to think about dieting!
Overall we had an enjoyable evening however, to be quite honest, our steaks were not up to Ruth Cris standards. I eat at Ruth Cris usually once a month and in this case, the steaks were not what we expected. That said, the service and wine was great which made the night acceptable. We will go back again so lets hope we have a much better experience.
Waitresses were in a hurry to leave, it is very unpleasant to eat when someone is hurrying you. In addition, at the time of paying, the waitress ask me to go to the ATM, which is outside the restaurant, because they do not accept payments with debit card was possible.
Food was delicious!!!
This is the third time I have eaten with my wife over a span of 5-6 years. We always eat in the hotel the day of our trip. The first time they had replaced a wonderful Italian restaurant at the Marriott, however, the meal we had then was exceptional especially a wonderful bread pudding dessert. The second time was okay, but disappointed they had changed the bread pudding recipe. Recently ate there 9/27/17 and tremendously disappointed by a relatively tasteless stuffed mushroom appetizer, a 16 oz. rib-eye that had too much fat and that bread pudding which never matched the original. The most expensive meal on the island that doesn't even come close to delivering in value for the money. You can do easily better than this! We won't eat here again!
It was a special night with our daughters and we were all disappointed with the service.
No interaction from the waitress
We had to ask about soups or specials
We had to ask for drinks, napkins
She never came back to ask us if everything was alright.
This is not the first time we have had this woman but for sure we all agreed it will be the last we let her wait on us.
had dinner with family and everything was delicious. crab cocktails and stuffed mushrooms for apps. filets and ny strip came out slightly underdone and manager sent back for a couple of minutes and came out perfect. rib-eye was perfect also. they were so accommodating and helpful. bottle of caymus was perfect accompaniment to great meal. sides of baked potato, lobster mac and cheese, and steamed broccoli were great and manager gave us the corn to make up for the underdone steaks and it was delicious also. cheesecake was great way to end meal. if in aruba, dont hesitate to enjoy a fine meal here.
It was our 16th wedding anniversary. We chose this restaurant to celebrate the occasion. The waitress forgot my wife's order and then it took a while to get the order to the table. In the meantime her side dishes got Cole and we're not replaced so she did have a heart steak in cold sided. very disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber.
Wonderful steak and wonderful service. Granted, we came on a slow night, but it was good to know they don't "let down" as certain establishments are prone to do during slow periods. I had the NY strip, the wife had petite filet....both just superb. Server very attentive but not overly so. Just right, if you will. My only complaint is with price....and only with the wine. I expect to pay top dollar for prime steak. But the minimum for California cab was $60. per bottle! We had to resort to Merlot which we really didn't want, but did so to stay in the $40. price range. All restaurants mark up wine, but Ruth Chris seems to think its ok to markup 300-400%. If you're not concerned with this detail, you will enjoy a marvelous meal here!
Service was excellent here! Very easy to get a reservation. The complimentary loaf of bread was delicious. I had the petite filet with shrimp and my boyfriend had the cowboy ribeye, both were cooked to perfection. We split the mashed potatoes and asparagus. The mashed potatoes were AMAZING! Had a great selection of wines as well. We would definitely come back when in Aruba again.
