Everything was great food was amazing service was awesome. Aziz our waiter was the best.
Food was a amazing, best I’ve had at Ruth Chris. Our server was prompt and honest about drink and meal selections.
I made a reservation requesting the bar area next to the window and they made sure to reserve the best table with the best view for us. Romantic setting for a date night. Great drinks and great steaks!!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Service was excellant...food very good...nice view of the Potomac River from out table.
Dinner with my best friend that did not disappoint. Our server, Kelly, was excellent and knowledgeable.
Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. The view is great, and although we were the last patrons in the place, we never felt rushed.
My husband and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary at this Ruth’s Chris for many years. We asked for a window table (how could you improve on that view?) as well as Teddy or Brian who we have also known for many years and all our special requests were met. The food was perfect as always. Brian actually SPLIT a martini so we could have one, but not overindulge since we counted on having wine with dinner. Their wines are always excellent. Anything on the menu is going to be exquisite. I LOVE this place!!!! Thank you, Teddy and Brian and Ruth’s Chris for helping to make our 42nd anniversary spectacular!
Our food was fantastic - both the bone-in ribeye and the lamb chops. Service was great. Can’t say enough about this place. It’s expensive but worth it.
My family and I went to Ruth’s Chris in Crystal City to celebrate my husbands birthday and it was hands down AMAZING. The staff greeted you with a friendly smile. The service as well as the food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. The price is a little costly but it’s worth spending. Love it, will be back soon😍
Excellent meal, always superb steaks. Great wine choices. Ate dinner in the bar area with an awesome view of downtown DC and National Airport.
The service was exceptional, the view was very beautiful and the food was pretty good. Highlight was the desert – the cheesecake was the best thing that came to the table; veryyyyyy good.
Great service and the steaks are amazing. A great view of the Nations Capitol and the Potomac from the 11th floor. Must try!!
Amazing food. Great service. Excellent drinks. 5 star experience.
First of all, This was my first time dining at Ruth Chris because as we all know it very pricey! But if you don’t try them at least once in your life your missing out!!! The food was delicious. The ambience was very chill and the service was amazing !
Went for restaurant week and what an amazing deal that was! It was awesome food and fantastic prices, we would definitely go back again!
I love this Ruth's Chris. It's my favorite in the DMV area. However, the food was not as good this time around. I asked for a medium cooked steak and it came out medium well-closer to well done. The creamed spinach was cold and the lobster on top of the mac and cheese was cold and tough. I was embarrassed because this was my first time bringing my neighbors to Ruth's Chris. I bragged on how great the food and service was. The service was exceptional, but the food was mediocre that night. It was a disappointment because I was also celebrating my birthday that evening. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day.
If I could give them 10 stars I would.....showed up early and actually seated us early....absolutely wonderful staff, settings everything was perfect!
Our server Brian was delivered excellent service. He went out of his way for all of us, especially
the two birthday celebrants and their parents/grandparents in their 90's! Thank you again Brian!
We like Ruth Chris a lot. But recently the prices have gone up, the portions seem less appropriate and the choices are less. Overall, it has dropped from excellent to fair in our opinion.
I enjoyed my time
Wonderful service. Our server Brian Ng was excellent! Thank you...
I always enjoy my time at Ruth's. Our server was awesome.
Seated right away. Attentive service. Beautiful views. Definitely recommend.
Surprisingly mediocre, though I’ve had good experiences in the past. Steak was very good but all the side dishes (Caprese salad, mashed potatoes & Brussels sprouts), were quite ordinary.
Excellent service in a noisy room.
Ruth Chris has a great product. I have been to several and the food is always worth the price. I had several issues with this particular restaurant. The waiter was not attentive, he also did not understand how to describe the different levels of preparedness of the meat. He told me a medium rare steak had a cool red center then I asked him to describe a rare steak and he stated it was raw in the center. But, if it wasn't done enough I could let it cook on the plate until it was to my liking. The steak came out correctly, I had trust in the cook to prepare it correctly, but the by the time I received my food, the mashed potatoes were cool and glazed over. The meal was good, but not as good as you would expect from Ruth's Chris. If they want to provide service on par with Outback they should charge the same prices. I pay more because I expect more. I also had an issue with the table I was placed. I made a reservation a week in advanced and I was put in the bar, while there were plenty of seats open in the regular dinning area. Bar seating should be used as a last resort, due to the level of noise. Overall the meal was good, but the service was poor.
I booked a very early reservation and the restaurant was empty. I asked for table with a view and they said you are getting one! There is an entire room overlooking the airport terminal and its parking lot. There is a also a room overlooking the Capital and Washington Monument.
Hmm!!! What view should I have gotten.
I walked over to the room with the real views and most of the tables were vacant. Pretty obnoxious.
Mortons next time.
The food here is amazing, the service is top of the line. And the atmosphere is beautiful 5 stars
Great food as always from this franchise. I want to especially complement Brian Ng—retired Navy. He did an absolutely outstanding job tonight. Just the right amount of attentiveness and pleasant repartee.
Tremendous view of the runway at Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA). For first timers it is a little complicated getting to the restaurant but they put as many directional signs as possible. Our server was excellent in his interaction with us. I love it when he joked and said he would take away our plate until we finished those last two bites. Especially since restaurants are notorious for taking your at away when you’re not finished. I think the steak is overall very good at Ruth Chris but they aren’t keeping up with the quality of other smaller steakhouses at the same price point. Also, being a Californian and knowing my California wines very well they are NOT offering the best wines but instead just the big names like Mondavi, Beringer, Peju and others. Plus they are way overcharging for them; even for restaurant standards. They need to overhaul their wine list big time. In the end, I would definitely go back especially for a special occasion or business meeting.
One word describes my experience at Ruth Chris in Crystal City, VA: disappointing. It was our 35th anniversary, so my wife & I were anticipating a great meal at an allegedly great restaurant chain, but we got just the opposite. This restaurant has a spectacular view of Reagan National Airport & the Potomac River beyond, but the staff decided to seat us at the very worst table in the entire place, one that had a six foot wall in front of it that completely obstructed the beautiful view beyond. That totally ruined the entire experience, & things just went downhill from there. My wife ordered her 6oz filet medium, I ordered my 8oz filet medium rare, but the steaks were delivered just the opposite of what was requested. On top of that, the plates are scorching hot & the server placed them such that we were both forced to use our napkins to reposition them. Why the heck does Ruth Chris do that? I don't want my steak to continue to cook on a 500 degree plate, I want the steak's residual heat to finish any cooking that is required. Also, my wife commented her plate looked filthy, & it was because the steak juice got seared to the broiling hot surface. The manager offered to upgrade my desert as compensation, even though I didn't order a desert, so again, the entire experience was disappointing. This was a milestone event in me & my spouse's lives, & we expected Ruth Chris to play their part, especially considering we laid down nearly $250.00. Did I mention the experience was disappointing? Keep your money in your pocket & go to your local sports bar or break out the charcoal grill next time you crave a steak.
High standards. Met as far as steak, wine, salads and sides. But for those of us who don't want steak (or even meat), it's a tough one. I ordered the crab fried rice without the crab and it was not flavorful--I guess its difficult for the restaurant to imagine someone who would just like flavorful rice without crab. I should not expect a steak place to have lots of good things other than steak, but for the price, I would hope. The waiter did try so hard to please.
But then the bread pudding ranks up there as one of our favorites--and we never pass up bread pudding.
You cannot beat the view from anywhere in the restaurant--it is gorgeous, especially at night. But we were seated near the bar and it was loud, although we don't mind--but as a forewarning.
Everything is always perfect at Ruth Chris in Crystal City!
Thie Ruth's Chris is one of our favorites because of the beautiful views overlooking DC and DCA. The food is exceptional and the service usually is as well. We were disappointed on this occasion with a server who hovered over us and actually reached over and turned pages of the menu/wine list for us. We asked him to give us a few minutes to review and he seemed unhappy as he walked away. Our reservation was for 6:00 pm and the dining room was fairly empty. It wasn't as though he needed to turn our table over quickly. Other than the poor service, we enjoyed our meal and view.
We had an excellent dinner at Ruth Chris. The waiters were excellent. We had the 6oz filet & shrimp..,delicious!!!
They decorated our table with birthday confetti for my husband’s birthday.
Our server Milton was amazing. He was attentive, personable and professional. Job well done.
excellent service and view
The service, food, atmosphere, and view were all great...fantastic date night experience.
Another great find in the DC area, Crystal City. I have always enjoyed Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in many locations in the U.S., this one did not let me down. Filet and lobster yummy! Service was top-notch.
It was aight
Outstanding steak (filet) was done according to my request, but learned that medium well is a bit overcooked and dry. The roasted corn on the cob was stellar as was the steak house salad. Table seating was sheer perfection that allowed us to see the runway at Reagan National, the metro, and the river. Our waiter, Christian, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu, and was friendly without being obtrusive. I had to stick with drinking water, since I was driving; however, my buddy who accompanied me said that his handcrafted cocktail(s) were "spot-on". Will most certainly return.
