This is by far my favorite restaurant in DC, VA or MD. I literally had a craving for the petit filet with shrimp and I can never go wrong with that
Once again, RC Arlington proved why it’s one of my favorites in the DC area. Our server, Teddy, is always great both in personal service and recommendations.
I am a frequent diner at this location. As always, they never fail from food to service. It was a pleasant surprise to see the new decors. We had pomegranate martini and the prefix meal including Chilean sea bass, filet mignon, broccoli, Spanish potato fingerling, and banana flambé cheesecake. Everything was delicious and our waiter, Brian was beyond amazing!!! The food and service are what we always come back even though it takes us an hour to get there, it's always worth the drive.
Excellent service from Rasheed and Aziz.
Really good steak.
We had a very disappointing experience. The occasion was my father's 88th birthday (how many people come to celebrate such an anniversary to this restaurant?) - and we did not get any treat from the staff! There was confetti on the table saying "Happy Birthday" - but nothing else followed, and the service was quite average, to say the least. Our waiter seemed to be inattentive (he did not check with us but a few times in the course of the dinner) and was rushing us to choose from the menu. He could not find the bottle of wine we had selected - and only got back to us long after the main course was served to tell us that the wine we had requested was not available (it turned out that it was available, but he did not write down the name of it correctly). Usually, drinks are served at the same time as appetizers - so it is not clear why we were not told about issues with our wine selection at an earlier dinner stage. This seemed very wrong. Some of the side vegetables we ordered (brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes) contained too much oil (or butter) and were overcooked. The seafood courses
- swordfish, sea-bass, and crab-cakes - seemed to be also overcooked and not particularly flavorful. The crab-cakes containing a lot of bread crumbs tasted too salty . We liked the seafood tower and the fresh salads for appetizers . We also enjoyed the spectacular view of the National Airport and the Potomac River. So if i ever return to this place, i would head straight for the bar to enjoy the view and the appetizers.
The experience was absolutely fantastic and our waiter Teddy was excellent.
We visit there few times every year in past 8 years. The portion and quality of food decreased from few years ago. However, the view and atmosphere is nice. NO Changing table for babies!
Ruth Chris is a restaurant chain with a "home town" feel. The service, from the time you arrive at valet parking until the time you depart, sets a standard for excellence. We asked for a window table, and Muriel (Sp) topped that request with the best window table in the house. Our server, Teddy, plies his craft with wit, elegance, promptness, and a full knowledge of the menu.
Steaks and fish prepared perfectly.
Dinner was excellent. I had the ribeye and my.hubby had the fillet. Cooked perfectly. The scenic view was nice overlooking the planes, however the seating was very tight. The staff was friendly. Besides some very closely seated neighbors arguing the entire time i was there, the experience was nice.
I have always enjoyed the meals and service from Ruth's Chris. The steak was amazing and the dessert was fantastic. I was so happy I celebrated my special day with a great steak and good company.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Food and atmosphere were perfect!
Took my son to his 1st nice restaurant for his birthday. I made a reservation online 5 days prior and took an earlier time so we could get window seating. When we were called to sit the greeter stuffed us into the corner when there were 7 tables open at the window. When asked to be seated at the window we were told the seats were reserved by regulars or other people. Open Table states that it was first come first serve for the window. Disappointing to say the least and it felt as if the good ol boy effect was on at the restaurant. I was saddened by this because it seemed so easy for them to dismiss us. If it weren’t for my sons Birthday i would have left for that reason alone. The food was good as expected for that price point. The service was very good but not great. I say this because when water or bread is low one should expect not to ask for more but rather be asked first. Overall, i will never return to this restaurant and will find a different place to dine on special occasions.
We were disappointed. Food very unremarkable. Drinks overpriced. Seated in loud bar area . Wanted a special outing. Ambience of Outback. We used to love going there.
Excellent food and service. I've never had a bad dish here. Great views!
Mostly good dinner at Ruth's Chris in Crystal City. We were able to get a window table and enjoy the view of National Airport and the Capitol in the distance. Wine list has excellent selections and the food of course was superb.
But the reason I cannot leave a 5-star review was because of our waiter. Although he was a nice gentleman, he seemed to have too many tables to handle and took way too long to provide service to us. We were there to celebrate a Birthday and had informed him, but the staff brought out a cake saying "Happy Anniversary" instead with no candle. We shrugged it off, and he didn't seem interested when we mentioned the faux pas to him as we were leaving, as he seemed in a hurry to get to another table.
Overall, I would certainly go to Ruth's Chris again regardless of the incident with the waiter and the cake. But it was disappointing that the night was not perfect as we were expecting, especially at an establishment like Ruth's Chris.
The waiter was amazing . Very friendly. Food is always great . will be back soon
Were seated quickly and well attended. Our server Milton was attentive without being overbearing. Have been to Morton’s and other area steak houses and was impressed with great service and valet service. Only negative was Barbeque shrimp which we ordered for my daughter and found it was way too salty and lacking in flavor. Again..kudos to the staff..had an 80 year old sister who kept dropping stuff and the never blinked. Keep Milton around!
Absolutely love this location, my go to place for a steak. Always great food and service.
Excellent as always, thank you Ruth’s Chris staff!
My wife and I went to Ruth’s Chris for our date night. We did have an enjoyable time. We’ve been going to this location for years now. Over the years I’ve noticed a change in the patrons that come to the restaurant. It used to be a time when you would go and you’d be sitting next to a lawyer or a doctor; it would be someone professional or someone who had a little class. They would be wearing a suit or at least a suit jacket and collared shirt. Now you could wind up sitting next to someone wearing Air Jordan’s, a pair of timberlands or sweats. On the website it states that the dress code is “business casual”. I wish that they would enforce the dress code then it would have an impact on the type of people that dine there. I’m also sure it would have an impact on the ambiance. It would definitely have an impact on the maturity level. It just makes for an all around good dining experience. When you go someplace nice, you should dress nice. We will be going back to this location because of the nice views. However hopefully the chain will take my advice so as not to be dining with someone wearing the new Lebron’s.
Delicious meal, slightly loud, my steak was undercooked but quickly resolved and a discount certificate to return.
Food was as amazing as always and our server was attentive, but it took much longer to get our entrees then it should have. Roughly 45 minutes between our salads and entrees.
Very nice lunch menu
Manfredo (hope I have name correct) is our favorite waiter. He is attentive and seems to remember us each time. Leonard, who was working with him, was equally as attentive and professional. They are a great team.
How does a restaurant with Ruth's Chris 's reputation not be able to cook a medium rare ribeye? Sent it back once and still came back over cooked and uneven.
My wife ordered steak which was supposed to be medium rare , it turned near well done!
I wasn't entirely impressed with this location this visit. However, I do not judge this location or establishment on one evening. I have traditionally enjoyed great food and service here. Our server seemed to be more preoccupied with other things and service was slower than usual. The steak wasn't prepared as well as normal. However, I still will come back. It was a Monday and that usually isn't the best of evenings to go out to dinner.
Party of 6. Dress code seemed strange and inconsistent but “STRICT” for a Saturday especially. Once seated, table was wobbly & unstable and we had to REQUEST to be moved. Sweet pots casserole was COLD. Family style, so we all ate the cold side (which thankfully was just one of 8) bc it was tasty, but it would have been better warm.
It was a great experience! Love the staff and food, everything was just amazing!
Temperature and flavor of steaks consistently good. The meal was delicious from my blueberry Mojito to the dessert. Third time at this restaurant. Excellent each time.
Steak came out raw twice
Consistently delicious. Great service. It’s my favorite place for steak.
Superb service and meal was great. We enjoyed the evening and will be returning for another evening.
This is the place to enjoy a great meal in conjunction with a special occasion. Though they have a dress code, many people think blue jeans is acceptable attire. How tragic. Regardless, what a great place with tremendous staff!
Very professional staff that helped celebrate my wife’s birthday.
Ruth Chris is my husband's favorite restaurant. However, we normally go for special occasions because of the cost. However, this time we went for Restaurant Week, which I went online and made reservations from the Restaurant Week website and it took me through Open Table. To much surprise when we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that they do not participate in Restaurant Week. So I was not happy about that because we had to go outside of what was budgeted. Also, we normally order Cajun seasoning on our steaks, but that night we were told they do not have it. Outside of the disappointing news, the service and food was good a usual. Probably would have been better if it was what we expected.
Met with girlfriends for dinner. It's always a great time with the girls and Ruth Chris providing the great atmosphere and food.
We had an amazing experience here!
Always a winner. Old fashioned high end steak restaurant with fantastic views out over National, beautiful meat and reliable, never changing sides. Come here to feel a bit special.
Awesome staff from the front door, the valet and the waiters.
