Good food and service. Got the table I requested and my guests loved the view.
LOVED IT!!! I would recommend RC to anyone!!! AMAZING!
Outstanding service the waitress was awesome
This Ruth's Chris is great if you snag a seat by a window. The views of the city and the airport are wonderful. The steaks are ok - but the sides, the service, and the cocktails are mediocre at best.
My husband ordered a pina colada and it looked more like a white icy beverage. Too much ice, the taste wasn't great, and there wasn't a cherry or pineapple slice or any other kind of enhancement on the drink.
The service was slow and the waiter was scarce. The restaurant was not very busy yet it took over a half hour just to get our soup. The steaks were good but the Brussel sprouts were hard as a rock and the creamed spinach was more cream than spinach. It tasted ok but looked more like spinach soup.
I used to enjoy happy hour here when I worked close by and we used to bring out of town guests here for the excellent service, food, and ambiance. I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon.
The restauraunt and service was great. I was very disppointed that I paid for valet and my car was in the underground parking lot. I could have done that myself. That is false advertising and a rip off.
The food was excellent as always! Our server, Brian was wonderful.
Everything here takes forever. Soooooo slow. Seating. Serving. Everything is slow.
Great choice for Easter Dinner!
The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that the steaks are wonderful. I do think it is overpriced but for a special occasion you can't beat the scenery. Our wait staff was attentive.
Brian was an EXCELLENT server. He was attentive and genuinely cared that we had a wonderful evening. The food was great as expected. I will definitely be back.
Good cocktails at the bar and our server Milton was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Great food and great time.
Good food choices. A little on the costly side. Ruth's Classics seemed to be the most reasonable price. Atmosphere very nice and romantic. Bread- warm and delicious. Soup- good but presentation was quite sloppy. Crab cakes- good but not hot (plate sizzled but cakes weren't hot). Steak- flavorful. Lobster- small, was expecting a little bigger, no melted butter. Shrimp- good. Broccoli- ok. Mashed potatoes-ok. Desert- not much of a desert person so it was ok. A little loud due to a birthday celebration going on at another table. Will give it another try in the future.
Everything was excellent except for we ended up sitting next to a group of big crowd who were loud.
Swordfish and shrimp, lobster macaroni and cheese were amazing!
Previously had a excellent experience but I brought my mom in to experience the atmosphere, the food was great but service wasn’t what I had previous experience. Inform server no mushroom on salad and no ice in the coke but I receive both. After meal was delivered waiter never came back for refills we had to flag him down. Also do not sit on the bar side, my reservations was 730pm sat down at 745 and that area was very loud.
Patrick and Robert were our servers and they were amazing! Super professional and very knowledgeable of the menu
It was my moms birthday and I was told they would put confetti on the table and there was no confetti. We were seating in a decent time but the waiters didn’t get back to us in a timely manner and my sides were cold and orders were not properly taken for my dad and brother.
Took my son for a father son meal. He loved the food, the view of the planes landing and taking off, and the staff was exceptional. The food was great (must get the crab fried rice!).
Very cool view. Calamari was tossed in a sickeningly sweet sauce, killing the fried aspect and leaving one with no choice but to eat what was like candy (the menu didn't say it would be tossed in the sauce); lobster bisque was congealed and had cracks on top like the surface of the moon. I couldn't believe they brought the bisque out like that. The ceasar salad was good and my NY strip was very good. Lamb chops were very fatty, but tasty. Sides were fine. We poured our own sparkling water most of the night and were never asked why a large plate of calamari remained uneaten, or why 4 spoonfuls of bisque were eaten. At the end, we were told they "hoped" we enjoyed our meal. Unfortunate meal for almost $300 with tip. Too many options in DC to go here, unless you really want to see the view.
This is the second time we have been to this restaurant. the food is great and the service was excellent. We also had a beautiful view of the Washington DC airport and waterfront. We recommend getting there early so you can get a table by a window.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in DC, VA or MD. I literally had a craving for the petit filet with shrimp and I can never go wrong with that
Once again, RC Arlington proved why it’s one of my favorites in the DC area. Our server, Teddy, is always great both in personal service and recommendations.
I am a frequent diner at this location. As always, they never fail from food to service. It was a pleasant surprise to see the new decors. We had pomegranate martini and the prefix meal including Chilean sea bass, filet mignon, broccoli, Spanish potato fingerling, and banana flambé cheesecake. Everything was delicious and our waiter, Brian was beyond amazing!!! The food and service are what we always come back even though it takes us an hour to get there, it's always worth the drive.
Excellent service from Rasheed and Aziz.
Really good steak.
Ruth Chris - Arlington is amazing.Love the new modern renovations. Food was great and the view was fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive. Ruth Chris -Arlington is definitely a "class act". Would definitely recommend to all my friends.
We had a very disappointing experience. The occasion was my father's 88th birthday (how many people come to celebrate such an anniversary to this restaurant?) - and we did not get any treat from the staff! There was confetti on the table saying "Happy Birthday" - but nothing else followed, and the service was quite average, to say the least. Our waiter seemed to be inattentive (he did not check with us but a few times in the course of the dinner) and was rushing us to choose from the menu. He could not find the bottle of wine we had selected - and only got back to us long after the main course was served to tell us that the wine we had requested was not available (it turned out that it was available, but he did not write down the name of it correctly). Usually, drinks are served at the same time as appetizers - so it is not clear why we were not told about issues with our wine selection at an earlier dinner stage. This seemed very wrong. Some of the side vegetables we ordered (brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes) contained too much oil (or butter) and were overcooked. The seafood courses
- swordfish, sea-bass, and crab-cakes - seemed to be also overcooked and not particularly flavorful. The crab-cakes containing a lot of bread crumbs tasted too salty . We liked the seafood tower and the fresh salads for appetizers . We also enjoyed the spectacular view of the National Airport and the Potomac River. So if i ever return to this place, i would head straight for the bar to enjoy the view and the appetizers.
The experience was absolutely fantastic and our waiter Teddy was excellent.
We visit there few times every year in past 8 years. The portion and quality of food decreased from few years ago. However, the view and atmosphere is nice. NO Changing table for babies!
Ruth Chris is a restaurant chain with a "home town" feel. The service, from the time you arrive at valet parking until the time you depart, sets a standard for excellence. We asked for a window table, and Muriel (Sp) topped that request with the best window table in the house. Our server, Teddy, plies his craft with wit, elegance, promptness, and a full knowledge of the menu.
Steaks and fish prepared perfectly.
Teddy, our waiter for the past few years there, is the best! Great view!
Dinner was excellent. I had the ribeye and my.hubby had the fillet. Cooked perfectly. The scenic view was nice overlooking the planes, however the seating was very tight. The staff was friendly. Besides some very closely seated neighbors arguing the entire time i was there, the experience was nice.
I have always enjoyed the meals and service from Ruth's Chris. The steak was amazing and the dessert was fantastic. I was so happy I celebrated my special day with a great steak and good company.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Food and atmosphere were perfect!
Took my son to his 1st nice restaurant for his birthday. I made a reservation online 5 days prior and took an earlier time so we could get window seating. When we were called to sit the greeter stuffed us into the corner when there were 7 tables open at the window. When asked to be seated at the window we were told the seats were reserved by regulars or other people. Open Table states that it was first come first serve for the window. Disappointing to say the least and it felt as if the good ol boy effect was on at the restaurant. I was saddened by this because it seemed so easy for them to dismiss us. If it weren’t for my sons Birthday i would have left for that reason alone. The food was good as expected for that price point. The service was very good but not great. I say this because when water or bread is low one should expect not to ask for more but rather be asked first. Overall, i will never return to this restaurant and will find a different place to dine on special occasions.
We were disappointed. Food very unremarkable. Drinks overpriced. Seated in loud bar area . Wanted a special outing. Ambience of Outback. We used to love going there.
Excellent food and service. I've never had a bad dish here. Great views!
Mostly good dinner at Ruth's Chris in Crystal City. We were able to get a window table and enjoy the view of National Airport and the Capitol in the distance. Wine list has excellent selections and the food of course was superb.
But the reason I cannot leave a 5-star review was because of our waiter. Although he was a nice gentleman, he seemed to have too many tables to handle and took way too long to provide service to us. We were there to celebrate a Birthday and had informed him, but the staff brought out a cake saying "Happy Anniversary" instead with no candle. We shrugged it off, and he didn't seem interested when we mentioned the faux pas to him as we were leaving, as he seemed in a hurry to get to another table.
Overall, I would certainly go to Ruth's Chris again regardless of the incident with the waiter and the cake. But it was disappointing that the night was not perfect as we were expecting, especially at an establishment like Ruth's Chris.
The waiter was amazing . Very friendly. Food is always great . will be back soon
Were seated quickly and well attended. Our server Milton was attentive without being overbearing. Have been to Morton’s and other area steak houses and was impressed with great service and valet service. Only negative was Barbeque shrimp which we ordered for my daughter and found it was way too salty and lacking in flavor. Again..kudos to the staff..had an 80 year old sister who kept dropping stuff and the never blinked. Keep Milton around!
