My husband and so ate here for our birthdays and loved it! Wonderful window seat with a beautiful view. Our server was informed, engaging and hilarious. We enjoyed a perfect dinner and felt special the entire time.
I really enjoyed our waiter Robert. He was such a joy and really nice l. I will come back because of him for sure.
Slightly overpriced but you can count on getting a top quality steak. The Arlington location on the 11th floor provides something of a view of the airport and some sights of the Capitol.
Went for the steak, tried the Mixed Grill on a whim...and could not believe how delicious the trio was! Expected a superb steak...and it was as tender and flavorful as any I've had in years...but the crabcake was also moist and well-balanced. Most of all, the stuffed chicken shocked us--one of the best chickens I've ever eaten in my 60+ years. Let's not forget to thank the waiters, who were efficient and left us alone when we wanted quiet time. All-around a 5-star meal, and we'll be back soon!
Birthday - great food and great service
Had a wonderful experience, looking forward to our next visit.
The evening was awesome, food was great, service by Josh made the evening memorable with his friendliness and humor. Have already recommend this restaurants to others.
My husband and I came to the Crystal City location for my birthday and had a lovely time (at least until the large table next to ours was seated with a loud family - who brought a toddler!!). Our server, Rudy, was just phenomenal. He was kind, knowledgeable, and punctual. All qualities I love in a server. We will definitely ask for him next time we go back! The food was scrumptious, of course. Petite filers, crab cakes and creme brûlée’s. Yum.
Always have the petite filet. Usually cut with ease; tonight difficult to cut, & it was tough. Not up to your standards.
We had are 29th anniversary there, they made it special by decorating the table and our dessert. Food was as usual excellent. Will always come to Ruth's for special events.
All Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Drinks and food was great! Thank you!
Experience was great!!!
Major kuddos to the bar staff and managers
We had a great late dinner. Everything was great. Our server was awesome. Thanks
Excellent food as usual. Josh was a fine server, honest and witty.
Chris was our waiter and made our experience absolutely delightful. He was attentive without being intrusive and genuinely friendly and kind. The food was spectacular and made right immediately when there was a minor error made by the kitchen. Dining at Ruth’s Chris with Chris as our waiter and a beautiful view of the city was the perfect ending to my birthday evening!
I go to Ruth's several times a year. However, this time I ordered the bar b cue shrimp as an entree rather than an appetizer - Big Mistake! Not good! Never again. The calamari was excellent!
As always an excellent meal, great service, quality food.
I was a bit annoyed by my party having to wait to be seated even after more than 60% were there. 80% present is a bit extreme even after I told staff that my guest were parking.
Otherwise, everything was perfect.
I celebrated my bday at RuthsChris on Jan 2nd, it was a wonderful experience! I could do it again every year till I'm 110 years old. That's 58 more years!
We've been to several steak restaurants in the past month. Several of them have failed to cook a medium or medium rare streak properly. However, Ruth's Chris Streak House got it right! The steak was cooked perfectly and had immense flavor.
This was a great way to exit the new year and decade!
Christmas Eve dinner was outstanding. Lobster and filet, so tender and delicious. As usual, the wait staff was great.
Our granddaughter greatly enjoyed celebrating her eighth birthday here. The food was wonderfully prepared and the service was impeccable. A great time was had by all
Quick lunch - fairly priced (although a $22 9oz basic Pinot is a bit high), bar area seating was a bit loud (just didn’t to the noise of the bar operations) but not bad. Rudy, our server was great!
Steak was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes were great!! Staff handled a slightly loud & obnoxious guest with class. Worth a trip!
Spectacular. Rashed and his partner did an exceptional job paying attention to our needs and wants
Very good experience. First steak cane out well done and they took it back and gave me medium rare. Love the view of this restaurant!
The food took long to come out & when our first course arrived it had hair in it. When they brought out the replacement they had the manager deliver it, however he did not acknowledge the initial problem. We mentioned that the food took longer than we expected. When the 2sy course arrived we had already been at the red for an hour and a half. When we mentioned how long the food was taking to the manage, I felt that he brushed it off as if it didn’t matter. When the second course came out it was delicious as the food usually is, but because the food took so long to arrive, we were not able to enjoy dessert.
Service at the bar was horrible. Made an order to go (in addition to eating at the bar) for the Chilean Sea Bass. I got home, and saw I only had a piece (6oz ish) of fish with no sides. The menu deff had it paired with 2 sides. Total waste of $44.
We to Ruth’s for Christmas dinner. Reservation was for 5:30. I requested a table in the back of the restaurant near a window and that request was not honored. Ok, I get it, it’s busy, but the host never acknowledged the request nor said that wouldn’t be able to honor it. Ended up sitting in the dining area near the bar, I HATE that area. I have never received good service there. And this night was no different. We sat down and it was 10 mins before anyone greeted the table. Still took a few more minutes before someone brought water. It was close to 20 mins before we got our drinks and one of the was the wrong drink. We started to order our dinner and the tomahawk was sold out. It would have been nice to know sooner. The server recommended the porterhouse so we got that. We ordered two apps and a salad then steaks. The apps were good, calamari and the crab stack. The salad was horrible. I got the wedge and the blue cheese dressing was like white water with blue cheese chunks in it. It was disgusting. Didn’t eat it. We wait some time before the steaks came. The porterhouse was ordered at Med but came close to well. The pieces we had were over cooked and dry :( we each had one piece and called it quits. It was obvious that the restaurant took too many reservations because the wait staff could not provide any service to their tables. They were all just playing catch up. I also find it very funny that the restaurant will not allow someone to enter and dine with a ball cap but WILL allow tables to have iPads/iPhones without earphones. Most of the evening was listening to these devices as kids watches their shows so parents didn’t have to bother with them. If I wanted to listen to kids on devices I’d go to McDonald’s not Ruth’s. I dine at Ruth’s for the food but also the service and the experience. The Ruth’s at crystal city is horrible. I have been a handful of times and service just seems to be lacking. I used to frequent Fairfax and their service is unmatched.
The food was excellent, but the service was not as good as expected, even though the waiters were trying hard. Because of the Christmas holiday, the restaurant was jam packed.
My wife and I dined at Ruth Chris on Christmas night. The food was perfectly prepared, when it arrived. Unfortunately, service was lacking. From the time we were seated to the arrival of our meals was almost 90 minutes. Since we are not big drinkers and prefer to not fill up on appetizers, this wait was excessive. The service staff was apologetic. The manager explained the kitchen was fully staffed, but the number of walk-in diners was under-estimated resulting in significant delays. It was a very frustrating experience, and not typical of our previous experiences dining at the chain.
I felt like we were forgot about. We had to ask for things several times before it was brought out to us. I visit Ruth Chris often and I have never had this poor service.
We were very grateful to the staff that worked on Christmas so that we could enjoy our meal. They were very pleasant.
Great!...everything was fabulous
Me and my mom do an early dinner after church every Christmas. Ruth Chris is consistently good.
We've been here many times, but never on a holiday. We were 4 adults with a baby on Christmas Day, and I worried that we would be shunted to a side room. But there were many children and several babies and all were treated equally well. We chose 2 pm so it wouldn't be quite as crowded and it wasn't bad--it's a large restaurant with several rooms. By the time we left around 3:30 there were a number of empty tables.
The food as usual was excellent. For the first time I took the Ruth's Classic pre fixe meal with a 6 oz filet, shrimp, an arugula salad, creamed spinach side (my choice), and a bread pudding dessert for $49.99. That was more than adequate. My husband got the 20 oz Cowboy rib eye intentionally so he could take half home and we had it for lunch the next day. Wines start around $50.
The service was actually quite quick, despite the crowd and holiday. They helped one another out. At one point, the manager came over and filled a ginger ale order because our waiter was nowhere to be seen. The waiters were busy and had no time to chat, but they did try.
Any way, I'm pleased that my go to steak house can handle crowds on holidays.
Several years ago, this became our Christmas tradition. My wife and I love the ambiance and the staff is really nice.
If you’re a restaurant with a scenic view you should at least make sure your windows are always clean so people can actually enjoy the view. Said our server was great. Food was great.
