We arrived without a reservation because he was a work night. We were told that it was a 45 minute wait. It was around 815. There were plenty of open seating. I then make a reservation on opentable for 830 and was seated immediately.
Went for restaurant week, and not only did they have any amazing menu but the service and food was spectacular!
Brian the server did a great job
The ambience was amazing! The food was hot and delicious. We enjoyed everything.
Another great birthday dinner at Ruth Chris Arlington. Wait staff was amazing!
It was our anniversary on NYE and the restaurant could not be more accommodating. Brian and Rashad were the best wait team I have ever had. Will definitely ask for them again. And, will be going again.
Love this place, but they overcooked the filet, a rarity in our experience. They offered to do a new one and comped a dessert. So, best they could do, I guess. But disappointing on New Years Eve.
The food and settings were beautiful, not to mention the view and service...awesome❤❤❤❤
Great food, service and atmosphere!
Fantastic service. Our waiter Eddie was amazing and gave great recommendations. Everything was cooked as requested. The setting is a little dark but the overall ambiance was wonderful.
Always a good time. Great views and the renovation takes it to an all new level.
The meal and service was excellent thanks to Teddy!
When in Crystal City go here over Morton’s.....you’ll be glad you did.
This is my favorite Ruth's Chris -- especially since they just finished a significant remodel. And this restaurant is the only in the Washington area with such a spectacular view. Best in class.
Our waiter, Bryant, was wonderful - so affable and professional.
The view is fabulous and the food and staff are outstanding! Make sure you have the chocolate bread pudding for dessert. All steaks cooked to perfection!
Awesomeness! We love coming to dine with Ruth's Chris!
Christmas dinner with family. The restaurant never disappoints on food or service. Wonderful experience as a whole.
Enjoyed our first Christmas dinner at Ruth’s Chris.
Christmas dinner with my mom.
This location continues to be our Christmas dinner spot. We love it. Awesome steaks.
Disappointing evening. Service was poor (had to ask 3 times for additional bread) and it seemed that we waited a long time for our entrees. Once they were served, 3 of 5 filets were not cooked properly. Had to flag down server to get check and then had to have the bill corrected twice (they tried to charge us for beverages we did not order). We’ll go back to the downtown DC location next time.
Meal was very good, but in my opinion is overpriced by at least 30 percent. Very busy as it was Christmas Eve, kitchen was a little slow. Mixed drinks were not made very well especially my Mai Tai which tasted like it was from a mix.
Our server, Milton was awful. Came to our table shortly after we were seated for our 6:30 reservation, told us our bread was baking and he would be back. 28...28 minutes later he FINALLY comes back and asks for our dinner order. He NEVER asked for our drink or appetizer order, so we ended up placing our entire drink, appetizer, AND dinner order at the same time.
It's now 7:43...our reservation was for 6:30 and we STILL don't have food. 7:55 our food finally starts arriving. We were not asked if we wanted a second round of drinks. Food was delivered and Milton disappears again. We finish our meal and wait...and wait...and wait some more. It's after 8:30 by now, and we finally see Milton again and he asks about dessert and coffee. We get both, ask for our check and we are finally ready to leave at 9pm! 2.5 hours for our dinner!
My husband and I have made Ruth Chris our Xmas eve tradition for past few years, but we won't be back. I understand this is high end dining and high end food, but for my $340 for our party of 3, I would expect better and inattentive service.
Many other dining options in this area and we will be taking our business elsewhere.
Hard to judge a restaurant during holiday season, we haven’t been back to this Ruth’s Chris in over 5 years. Last visit my wife’s chicken was raw and she did not want to return. We decided to give it a go again, overall the food was good, not great, with the exception of the lobster mac and cheese which was exceptional. The steaks were average, not as good as I remember in the past, but the lobster tails were very good. The service was off, but I will give them a pass since it was Christmas Eve and they were slammed. We were seated with no wait which was a plus, our waiter just seemed overwhelmed and had too many tables. When compared to some of the top steak houses across the river in DC I think Ruth Chris falls a bit short. For Northern Virginia it certainly holds it own which is why we went.
They are the very best at what they do. We’ve been dozens of times and never disappointed. The filet on bone, creamed spinach, sweet potato casserole, wedge salad is the perfect meal! Try the bbq shrimp— it’s divine! And share the seafood platter as an appetizer. This is a place to feast!
Best steak in town and cooked the way you like it. The 3 course Ruth's Classic meal includes an appetizer, main course, one personal side (still substantial) and dessert at 2 price levels: $49.95 or $57.95. I wish they still used the stone slabs for presenting the steaks rather than the hot plates, but everything was good. Wines are expensive (most starting at $50) but good. We only come here for special occasions.
Ruth’s Chris is a classic steakhouse that has updated sides but still offers creamed spinach (my favorite). It has a very comfortable atmosphere — nice space between tables and quiet so you can hear the person sitting across your table (we had a group of 6). Service was attentive and informative. There was an interesting selection of cocktails, and I tried the night’s special, which I enjoyed.
Amazing food, excellent service. Really enjoyed the views, too.
Amazing views, excellent meal, great service. Highly recommend this location for Ruth’s Chris.
Excellent service and food
I am a woman and was wearing a hat, for medical reasons first of all. The receptionist told me to take it off and announced me that if I do not, the manager would come and tell me it is mandatory to remove the hat. We were seated and the manager arrives promptly telling me to remove the hat because their dress code mandates that women take their hats off. I felt embarrassed and harassed. I did not want my friends to know I was sick and had to keep the hat- they could have thought it was just a fashion statement. Did they really need to know that I was not feeling 100% OK? NO! The manager, coming to our table, made me feel very bad. This "rule" is unacceptable and inexcusable. Yes, I understand the etiquette bars men from keeping their hats at the dining table, but that rule never applied to women. It is the first time in my life that I am told to remove my hat. Question for your restaurant chain: how is it better for the other patrons: to see some woman's bald head and think of her chemo, or see a fashionable hat and some bright lipstick?
Perfect location and atmosphere for our small company holiday party. Host/Hostess and waiter staff were very courteous and friendly and the food was outstanding. The presentation on the seafood tower appetizer was notable. The seating arrangement and ambiance allowed for pleasant group conversation throughout the meal. Several of us had dined at this location previously and had good experiences, and this visit built upon that. We are sure to visit again!
Steak was over cooked then well undercooked. Service was good but it was clear they had a minimal staff for lunch.
Great food, above excellent service, our waiter was Patrick. Restaurant was very accommodating booked for 4 guess increase to 10. Birthday dinners & holiday celebration.
Ruth Chris always delivers on food and service. Their steaks can’t be beat and the seafood is great as well. Brian our server is always attentive, Thank you for making our celebrations special.
Once again, a great experience! Teddy continues to a fantastic advisor and server.
Best view and steak in the DC area!
Lovely environment, great food and exceptional service
Had a date with my wife and asked for a romantic table. My first table was facing a building which was not romantic at all. After we moved everything was fine. Teddy took great care of us and would recommend you ask for him if you plan on dining there. Will be back!
40 min wait between salad and entree. 3 of 3 steaks significantly under- or over-cooked. We returned two. Bill was adjusted but the experience was ruined between the long wait time and then being served incorrectly cooked steaks.
This was a great experience, my date and I had a window booth facing the city. Great view, great food, and excellent service. Will definitely be going to this location over the others in the area.
