We love the food and the service.
Good experience. Server was good. Location is not very convenient. A navy student event was happening and they were a little loud even though we had a small cove area. I was disturbed to see the servers put dirty plates on trays an inch or less from food being served.
The salad order came out wrong. Then our main courses came and the waiter said the order for sides wasn't placed. We waited for the sides while our main course got cold. No offer to make things "right" which one would expect. Really poor service.
Mother’s Day - The restaurant was overbooked. We were put on the patio which was so/so ambiance. The service was slow. We were there about two hours.
Great service and food was awesome. Giving a rose and gift card to the mothers was a wonderful gesture.
Most of the staff are friendly and customer service oriented. If you have an elderly person or disable person in your party, this may not be the place for you. The elevator is hidden in a dark closet and in super antiquated. It also only holds 2 people at a time. A renovation is way overdue. No health issues requiring the use of an elevator? Have a ball!! The wine list is amazing!!!
We brought my mom for Mother's Day lunch. First, the restaurant was very cold where we were sitting. They did adjust the temperature, but it did not stay in a comfortable range. The table where we were seated was in a very heavy traffic area, so not the best of locations. Our waitress was not as attentive as she could have been. However, the food was served hot and was very tasty.
First impression- smelled funky musty
LONG wait for mediocre food- eggs overdone on bland small non-lump crab cakes (in Annapolis!) with a tiny dollop of hollandaise
I took my wife here for Mother's Day, which turned out to be a poor choice.
The "Special Mother's Day Menu" was weak, consisting of three items: steak and eggs, shrimp and grits, or crab cake benedict.
The filet was good, but the eggs consisted of poached circles cooked into a piece of soggy bread, no better than Denny's, with flavor-less, overcooked fries. The individual shrimp were good, but the rest of the dish was merely an over-rich bisque poured atop a small, drowning wad of starch--I guess. Close your eyes and you wouldn't know there was anything but greasy cream in a bowl. It was NOT a "grits" dish--one of the worst meals we've had in a long time, in fact. Should've ordered the crab cake.
Ruth's Chris should've followed Lewnes' lead and skipped Mother's Day brunch service altogether.
The Mother's Day brunch was a complete disappointment, perhaps to be expected, as I don't believe they ususally do brunch. Ordered the crab eggs benedict. The entire dish was cold, the eggs were way overcooked - close to hard boiled - and the "hollandaise" was more like a glop of mayonnaise.
Usually , Ruth's Chris is great.
We enjoyed our Mother’s Day brunch! We would do it again!
I chose this location to celebrate my birthday. Having been to this particular restaurant countless times I was certain it would be the fine experience it has always been in the past. My companions has never been so I get this was the perfect opportunity to introduce them to one of my favorite restaurants. We had a 7:30 pm reservation and waited 30 minutes before we were seated. There were many others in the lobby experiencing similar waits. Once we were seated, it was nearly 15 minutes before any member of the wait staff came to take our drink orders. It was another 15 minutes before he returned with our drinks and yet another 20 before we placed our orders. It took over an hour for us to get our meals. In the past, the presentation of entrees was done by multiple people placing them in front of each guest at the same time. That was not of any particular concern. However, our sides had not been delivered to the table and the waiter asked if we needed anything else. “Um, our sides??” Those arrived a few moments later. Thank goodness the food was as spectacular as it ha always been. There was no disappointment in the food. But, alas, yet another disappointment in the service remained to occur. My daughter ordered a cup of coffee and I ordered a glass of port wine for dessert. They were delivered to the table some 20 minutes later. My daughter doctored her coffee and proceeded to take a sip. Not only was it ice cold - colder than room temperature, IT WAS TEA! It wasn’t even the right drink! A couple seated at an adjacent table had also complained about the “coffee” being ice cold. I don’t know what was happening that evening, but it wasn’t as though there was a shortage of wait staff. The wait staff was inexplicably absent and the kitchen equally slow. I’m sorry to say it was a most unacceptable experience for what we paid.
Great food, as always. Service was a little ‘casual’ for my liking.
Reservation was the right way to go. The server made our special day great with a surprise.
Great experience at Ruth Chris Annapolis! All four courses of our meal was excellent. Lobster tails were perfect! Also, the manager, Monica is attentive and takes great care in enduring we are happy and well served.
Wonderful meal as always!
Great meal at Ruth's Annapolis. Food was excellent, service was great!
For a 'high end' restaurant, the wine selection for Sauvignon Blanc is pretty sad. Very poor selection. Marlborough NZ wines in short supply.
6oz petite filet is "flat" by comparison to the 8oz filet (therefore not as succulent)
Medium rare is too medium.
We had a wonderful time. The food as always was great. I go for the steaks.
Fabulous Food! Fantastic Service! Fresh Ingredients!
Wish they’d had the after dinner drink “the Christie” like they have at Ruth’s Chris in Mobile Al
Food was terrible. Steak was over cooked. Third time this has happened at a Ruth’s Chris. Not coming back.
Terrible wait staff, we waited 25 min to even order- our waitress was busy putting spoons away, she told us, and didn't even apologize!!!!! - and when we complained the manager was extremely unhelpful. This was our annual birthday special dinner - we will never go there again!
I attended the East Port location of Ruth Chris, and this was my first time ever having been to one. I expected it to be elegant and service to be top notch to match the prices. And i was correct, Tim was excellent, recommending things to us and point out different options on the menu that have been longstanding "classics". His knowledge of the food was impressive, noting where the different seafood was harvested. The food was fantastic and cooked perfectly. We would happily come back again, the wine was delicious and the cocktails were mixed flawlessly. Overall a great experience, and that was mainly thanks to our server Tim!
It was awesome as usual
Took my wife and grandson to RC for my grandson's 17th birthday. All the staff acknowledged him and wished him happy birthday. Ken was our server and he did an excellent job. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. All of us ordered the filet in various sizes. As is the norm for RC they were cooked to perfection and very tender. Ken brought my grandson a traditional birthday dessert complete with candle. It was a very enjoyable evening, fitting of the occasion. Thank you RC and Ken for making my grandson's birthday special.
Service & Food were way below the standard for Ruth's Chris.
Music was - as always -completely inappropriate to the ambiance sought at this restaurant. I don’t expect to listen to pop when I’m paying that kind of money.
I have long trusted Ruth’s Chris as a reliable place to get a great steak in a wonderful setting. This was no exception. There were six of us and all had filets and they were all wonderful. Service was equally good.
Excellent in every way!
I love this location, one of the best Ruth's Chris anywhere. Consistently excellent and as good as, if not better than, many of the top steakhouses on the East Coast.
This restaurant was / is outstanding. I go at least 6 times per year and have done so for years.
We decided to eat at the bar and had a great time. The bar tender was attentive and the food was delicious.
I love Ruth Chris'. I have not been to one of their restaurants and was disappointed. The Annapolis edition is a wonderful example of what fine dining should be. Danny our server was excellent - attentive without being pesty. The manager came over and asked how our meal was. A simple but appreciated gesture. The filet, as always, is exceptional. The restaurant was nice and clean but noisy. That wasn't a surprise as it was Saturday night and located near the Naval Academy. If you are in Annapolis and want an amazing steak and an excellent lobster mac and cheese.....this is the place. I look forward to returning.
First seating in area that smelled like sewage. Many tables moved. Gross.
Great services and food. Nice atmosphere. Will be back.
We had a womderful dinner with another couple. Service was impeccable and we didn't feel rushed.
Amazing Evening! Service was great. We were celebrating a birthday and it was wonderful to be greeted with a "happy birthday" for our party. Our server went above and beyond the entire time. We have had this birthday dinner at this location for the past 4 years and it has always been great but it this was the most amazing experience we have ever had from the valet drop off to getting the car back. Highly recommended.
