You can always count on a quality meal here. They are consistent and delicious.
Took my Daughter for her 18th Birthday and the service did not disappoint. Food was absolutely amazing. Victor, our server was training another server and they were both on point! My Daughter can’t stop talking about her experience from the Valet attendant, to the hostess, food, ambience, servers, and back to valet. I’d give Annapolis Ruth’s Chris 6 stars if I could. I’ve been there many times before and the food and service is always flawless but a huge thank you for making my Daughter’s 18th Birthday absolutely amazing. Cheers!
Horrible service by host supported by manager Ramon who was extremely rude! Arrived at 5:50 for 6:30 reservation for birthday dinner. Was told the table would be ready closer to 6:30. No problem, informed host we would be at the bar. Got to the bar and there were several empty tables but no problem. Bartenders were great. At 6:20 bartender checked in with host and was told it was not yet 6:30 and we had a few minutes before we could check in. At 6:25 I could see parties of people arriving and checking in, I walked to the host and asked again. He looked at his watch and said you have 5 more minutes. In the meantime, he checked in several parties and I saw the printed tickets which said 6:30 reservation. When I asked about it, he said “ok you can come now”. By the time we got our things from the bar, there were 4-5 parties ahead of us and at 6:37 we were still waiting to be seated. I asked to see the manager, Ramon, and informed him of the situation. His response was “can’t believe you are willing to leave for a couple of minutes wait” and “the host is doing his best, he is young and inexperienced” but NO APOLOGY! Needless to say, we left. He followed us to the door and said “just go, it’s not a big deal” and very sarcastically “bye, bye”. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!
Very nice meal - hit on every course and a good bottle of wine.
Portion size was a great value for the Restaurant Week prix fixe menu and the tenderloins were cooked perfectly. Received great service and the room was quiet enough that conversation could be held without raising voices. Will go back again.
Decided to go to this restaurant with my girlfriend for restaurant all week, it was pretty noisy and there was a lot of people there when we first got there. We were seated quickly and the waiter was one of the best way waiers we had ever. Overall definition again but didn't expect it to be that noisy.
It was restaurant week in Annapolis, so it was a busy Friday night. We have been here several times but this is the first time we ate upstairs. I like the booths downstairs much better. Foor and service were spot on as always.
The dining area felt dark and old, there are walls that make you feel boxed in. The food and the drinks were very good, dessert was rich too much chocolate. The service could have been better, a water glass should not be empty. The bartender was the bright spot of the evening, she made you feel welcomed. She would make us go back, and sit at the bar for dinner.
Excellent service and steak and lamb chops cooked to perfection. The wine suggested by our server was ideal. I’m ready for another date night at this location.
We hadn't been to RC for a number of years. Had to wait 20mins beyond our reservation.
Was extra busy for a Tuesday. Food selection and wine choices were great. My wife and I sampled 2 different wines by the glass. Both excellent. Ordered another one to try during the entree course and never received it. Wasn't too concerned since we were on a tight timeline. Staff is very friendly and well trained. Overall a very nice experience and will revisit when time allows.
Excellent service and delicious food and drinks. We were seated immediately upon arrival for our reservation. Valet, hostess, and server were all courteous and friendly. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and drinks were delicious. We go to Ruth’s Chris frequently, although our first visit to the Annapolis location, and have never had a bad meal.
Great food! Great service!
I didn’t realize it was restaurant week, food quality and service dropped as a result
Jess A is the best waitress on the planet and Victor makes bananas fosters better than anyone
We went during restaurant week so apparently the ambiance was not the “normal” for Ruth’s Chris.
The food was good and the service was excellent but I would say was not worth the amount spent.
I would definitely try again, just not during restaurant week or another busy time.
Had a great time in the lounge over a couple of cocktails waiting for our table. Food was delicious as usual
Wonderful service. Both three server and Sommelier were very knowledgeable and pleasant. Food was outstanding.
It was wonderful. The food and service was perfect.
My family and I have eaten at Ruth's Chris numerous times throughout the country. We are new to the Maryland area and this was our first time eating at the Annapolis location. This was by far our worst dining experience ever. We were seated 35 minutes after our reservation time with hungry young kids, and the food arrived 2 hours after we were seated. A common theme throughout the night was our waitress was absent, we were constantly having to flag someone and ask to have our empty water, kids drinks, and cocktails refilled. My 7 year old daughter's steak (kids menu) had so much pepper it made her cry due to the strong spice. Since we couldnt find our waitress, a manager heard our complaints at the table apologized and had another dinner made for my daughter. The dinner for my wife and I arrived 20 min after kids dinner. My steak (11oz fillet) was overcooked (asked med rare and arrived well done). The asparagus was soggy and not edible for my wife and I, also did not come with hollandaise. While we received numerous apologies for my daughters dinner, my steak (frustrated so I did not send back), and the asparagus that we did not eat. In the end I received a bill for the full amount which truly just added insult to injury. I certainly hope my experience is a one off, but I will have a hard time returning to this establishment.
Simon is the best server there. Everything thing was perfect.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my dads 78th birthday. Service, food and all else was great. No complaints. I always enjoy the food and service when I visit this particular Ruth’s Chris location.
The food and service were exceptional.
Great overall experience
Awesome Valentines dinner
It was very congested. We were seated on the bottom level behind the bar. I wasn’t a fan of our table being as though I was there with my twelve year old daughter. I felt the location was not appropriate for a family with children (near the bar area).
I ordered a blackberry sidecar which was horrible by the way. I told my waiter it was way too strong and he informed one of the bartenders. Mind you I was seated within arms reach of the bar and saw their entire conversation. The bartender proceeded to pour sprite and sour mix inside my sidecar (I watched). The waiter brought my drink and I gave it a taste and it was horrible. I told him I saw what she did and it made the drink taste ever worse. Another bartender remade the drink, and this time I didn’t even taste any alcohol. At this point I just let it go. We waited a while for our food to arrive. Still no refills on waters and our waiter was very busy. He didn’t check on us much, I’m assuming because it was such a busy night. The food came and it was decent. We ordered the stuffed chicken, creamed spinach and lobster mac and cheese. All was delicious, but I was a little disappointed the lobster mac. The topping was extremely dry, while the bottom was creamy.
I’ve visited other locations, and I have to say, this is probably one of the worst ones.
Daughter breaking the record at the Naval Academy that day
Another wonderful evening at Ruth's Chris! Salads were delicious; steaks were perfectly done; crab cakes got mixed reviews (I greatly enjoyed mine but another member of our party did not). As always, the service was impeccable. We will return!
The service portion of the experience was way off this particular evening. Our waiter was probably busy with other larger tables on this busy Saturday evening.... but, we were very marginalized.
On the other hand, I have been used to Jenn at the bar for many years... and those experiences have probably spoiled me.
Enjoyed our meal!
Birthday celebration with 2 people. Appreciate the complimentary bread pudding dessert. The upstairs dining area (smaller room) where we were seated was not busy—3 other tables, but the noise level was still loud from the adjacent dining room, and poor acoustics with just our 4 tables. This was an earlier Friday dining time (6:15), so I can imagine the noise of a full dining room.
The broccoli & asparagus sides were good, but the sweet potato casserole was a little too sweet from added brown sugar..?
The ribeye & crab cakes were very good.
Our waiter, Leonard did a pretty good job, although he seemed a little nervous, and wasn’t very social.
We have visited this location about once a year, and would come back again.
This is the go-to restaurant if you want the perfect steak. The Bananas Foster was delicious. I'm never disappointed when I go to Ruth's Chris Steak House - Annapolis. What an awesome experience!!
Steak sent back three times- waiter not nice- calked manager- very liud
It has been a while since we went to a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. We will not return.
We brought our adult family (3 sons and their wives). Everyone loves steaks and was so excited about the seafood tower. The seafood was yummy but there were no tongs nor utensils to reach across the large table to take it from the 'tower-dish'. Even though we had a comfortable time between the appetizers and dinner service, we had to ask for our appetizer plates to be removed as the dinners were delivered.
The wait staff emphasized the restaurant's famous mantra "do not to touch the dinner" plates because they would be 500 degrees to keep the dinner warm and delicious. Of course, we all touched our plates. Most were not even warm, let alone hot, and certainly not scalding at 500 degrees. Only the maitre d' asked if we were enjoying our dinner. My husband's steak was impossible to eat due to the amount of grizzle; it was obvious how bad the steak was and it was replaced promptly. Even the waiter said the steak should never have left the kitchen. Everyone else was pleased but the quality nor taste reached our level of expectation.
The ladies room wait was ridiculous. Seriously! A good 20 minutes. And each of the four women in our party had to wait - none of us went 'together'.
The whole experience was very disappointing ... and very expensive. We anticipated a high check but the over $950 (included an auto tip) was shocking given the mediocre food and service.
Perfect date night!
My husband and I had dinner at Ruth’s Chris and it was excellent. Our Server Timothy was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The manager Mark came by the table and asked about how things were going. He was very pleasant.
Wife and I were enjoying a date night. Ordered a bottle of Riesling wine came out lukewarm. Wife ordered lobster tail and petite filet medium. The steak had to be sent back due to over cooked. They did deliver a second steak meeting original expectations.
We enjoyed a nice birthday celebration with great service from Valet parking to great food and service.
Simon was amazing. As usual. Meat was very overcooked disappointing for a $110 porterhouse for two. All in all still excellent. Love Ruth’s Chris!
Great experience. Look forward to doing it again.
