It was outstanding are sever Vanessa was outstanding as well.
We celebrated our 2 yr anniversary of our first date at Ruth’s Chris. I had requested a quiet table so they seated us upstairs. It was perfect timing for our 8:30 reservation, as the crowd soon left and we were totally alone, great for quiet conversation. Staff was exceptional and had placed Happy Anniversary glitter signs on our table. The fillets were so tender and perfectly prepared and served. We will definitely go back and not wait for a special occasion to enjoy a dinner out at Ruth’s Chris!
Wonderful meal. We were also delighted to have Morgan as our waitress. We knew her from previously dining at the Chop House and were thrilled to find her at Ruth's Chris now. Always outstanding service and a pleasure as well!
we were in at a very unfull time. we arrived to no host at the desk. the host arrived after one waiter finally wondered if we had been seen and sat us himself. we had another waiter (vanessa, who was a delightful person) and one to assist her. with two waitstaff, it was odd to need to flag down a random staff member three times to request service.
this all while a manager spent many minutes chatting to “check in.” we received no such courtesy. in fact, we were passed by the man twice, a fact we might not have noticed had we not been the only other table left in the room.
the food arrived. decent steak, fair sides, a complimentary dessert for our troubles.
and we paid an expensive bill for uncaring service, however well met.
the roughest ruth’s experience for us, for sure. yikes.
Phenomenal steak, excellent sides and appetizer, and attentive service. Best restaurant in town!
Fantastic! Our server and bussers were spectacular, the food was out of this world and while it's on the pricey side, I definitely feel I got my money's worth. Also, try the New Fashioned cocktail. It's a slightly sweeter Whiskey, which tastes great.
The food was amazing and the staff was on top of things! They were all so nice and very knowledgeable.
Business dinner. Great experience. Steaks were great, service was great.
We love everything about this place to the point that we come here once a week usually. Management, waitstaff, bussers, kitchen staff are all phenomenal
Ann Arbor - Ruth Chris is always a good meal. Visit my son in college and we always go to Ruth Chris Steak House. Can always count on good food and great service.
Food was delicious, server in particular was awesome but actually everyone we were in contact were very friendly and welcoming.
Food was very good, service was good. Drinks did not have a very strong pour but everything was good.
THEY DID SUCH A GREAT JOB ACCOMMIDATING OUR PARTY OF 11 UPSTAIRS. THE BAR AREA WORKED OUT GREAT TO MEET WITH EVERYONE FIRST. FOOD, SERVICE AND ATMOSPERE WAS OUTSTANDING!!! #1 STEAK HOUSE IN ANN ARBOR!!!!
It was a second visit at Ruth Chris in Ann Arbor. It was another wonderful experience. We have a couple glasses of wine at the bar than was seated on time for our reservation. Service from the bartender and service was excellent. Look forward to heading back again.
This place does not disappoint! Food is great. Wait staff is very good. Cheesecake is amazing!
It was good. Nothing spectacular.
Great experience overall. Was very cold in the upper floor eating area, staff was very friendly and accommodating
I've heard a lot about this steakhouse and how good it was, so me and my wife decided to give it a try. We SPLIT a meal ordering the 11oz fillet and added a lobster tail with Au gratin potatoes on the side. The steak was small and looked like a 8 oz portion. When we cut into it, the texture was like cutting into a N.Y. strip, somewhat tough...and had portions with grizzle that could not be eaten. The Au gratin potatoes were not cooked until soft and had very little flavor.
For the price we paid $150
"We would not return"
This is the only Ruth Chris that I know doesn't offer the Ruth Chris Classic menu option.
We were sitting in the front area by the door. There was a child that was eating dinner as well. The kid was screaming and kept running down the hallway at the restaurant. You would think at a nice restaurant like this, the staff would be mindful of these things. It was unpleasant and disappointing to experience.
Great food and service, as always. Had the crab cakes, petit filet, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was spot on and the service attentive but not overbearing. Great experience!
Although our dining experience did not start the best (steaks too well done), our server and and staff were quick to correct this and were attentive to our needs. Could not ask for anything more. Will definitely be back! Thank you!
Not a great meal. Disappointing. Steaks were tough and over cooked.
Went for restaurant week. I'm not sure if that explains the subpar food, the steak was not up to the usual standards.
Attentive service, pleasant ambiance but the food was rather uninteresting. I had the feeling that all the recipes came from an industry cookbook; nothing was offensive and nothing was the slighest bit unusual. The wine list is quite pricey but I guess that is typical of steakhouses. I do not think I will return.
This place is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!! Never a bad experience.
Awesome food and an overall superior experience
Frankly I had low expectations after reading some of the reviews from last years Restaurant Week and my personal experience there last time, but I was pleasantly surprised to have perfect service, which was lacking last visit, and great food, which is always expected and provided. Waiter 115 Walter S. got a well deserved great tip, along with his supporting crew.
Lovely atmosphere for a date night. Went for restaurant week, not sure if it was because of discounted plates or not but the filet offering was very small and came out on such a hot plate that when ordered medium the steak was done and tough by the time it arrived to the table from being cooked the rest of the way during transport from the kitchen. So note to order your steak rarer than usual due to that aspect. Mojito was decent, crab stuffed mushrooms very good and mashed potatoes were on the thin side. May go again if it’s a special occasion or another restaurant week but would not be my first choice, you definitely pay for the name.
We went to Ruth Chris for restaurant week. My steak was overdone and my wine flight arrived to the table late. Everything else (service, French onion soup, creamed spinach, etc.) was great.
We have eaten here several times in the past year. Ruth's Chris has become our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. Consistent outstanding service and food quality. Have requested a quiet table and usually get one in the back. There is no quiet restaurant in AA.
Of course, Ruth's Chris is very pricey but for special occasions it is worth it.
Repeat-service and food quality are tops.
We went for restaurant week. The crab cakes were excellent. The tenderloin was not their best but not worth complaining about. The sides could have been hotter. We had a fantastic server.
Very disappointing trip this time.....we have been here several times and have always had a good experience. We went tonight for Ann Arbor Restaurant Week and received horrible service while sitting at the bar. Staff were very attentive at first, however, the follow through was disappointing at best. One server asked us if we wanted bread before our food arrived, the bread never came. We asked a second server for bread.......the bread never came. After finishing our entree's and drinks we waited 10 minutes before anyone asked if we would like another drink. Remember, we are sitting the bar!!! Lastly, the meal came with dessert but it was never served to us even though we ordered it when we initially placed our order. Not sure if the service declines with Restaurant Week prices, however, it appears it does at Ruth's Chris. Definitely off our list of go-to places for the near future.
The food was exceptional. The cheesecake was especially delicious. The waiter was very educated about the menu and friendly.
We came for Restaurant Week because we felt it was an excellent value. Normally, Ruth Chris's would be a little out of our price range. Every item we received (salad, steak, crab cakes, mashed potatoes and desert) was excellent. We will be looking forward to come back at this summer's Restaurant Week.
I really love and enjoy how appetizers and entrees are served "piping hot". Quality of the entree was exceptional! Wonderful wait staff stayed on top of all of our needs!
Side dishes were cold and the cheesecake tasted like it had been sitting uncovered in the fridge and tasted like musty fridge. This was second unpleasant experience at this location and won't be back.
Everything was great...the bartenders were either over worked or didn't care. The bar was dirty towels dirty dishes and you could tell the employees just disnt want to pick it up...maybe so no one would sit down. I had to go to the bar to get my drinks. Acted like they didn't want to make them. Although dinner service was phneomal.
We had a great date night during restaurant week. Wine pairings very were good. Staff was very attentive.
