My wife and I dine at Ruth Chis often as it is our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. On this visit we had the spicy shrimp and the Ruth's chopped salad. My wife had the filet with blue cheese and I had the New York Strip Steak both of which were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant even though it is expensive.

Awesome anniversary dinner. We got a booth as requested, table confetti, and the pace of the service was perfect for us to enjoy a very delicious meal and special dinner. We were never rushed to finish a course of food and had plenty of time to savor the moments. All of the food and drink was excellent. It was the perfect dinner. Looking forward to visiting again. Wonderful service, beautiful plating & delicious food. The seafood tower was totally worth it- cooked perfect and flavorful. The filet was sizzling upon arrival & cooked to perfection. The drinks were tasty & strong. Cheesecake exceeded expectations! Highly recommend for a dinner or date!

I loved my first experience there. The food was great. People were friendly. I would have preferred a chair with the arms. I made reservations, I didn’t know I had to request that kind of chair, first time there. Now, I know. Besides that, everything was wonderful.

Reservation at 8:15 and told they are behind clearing tables so we can wait by the bar to have a drink and they will send a text when the table is ready. Bar is packed, so standing around waiting for another 15-20 minutes. Server was great, but as we are wrapping up appetizers we are told he accidentally hit cancel vs submit for our order and they JUST started the steaks. Stuff happens and he was good, so no worries. Steak arrives and ordered medium rare and was medium plus if not close to medium well. Based on the late time, getting us seated late, and messing up the order we did not have time to redo so sucked it up. Server right away by looking knew it was not MR and grabbed the manager. She gave the standard lip service on being sorry, but almost seemed like it was a waste of time to address and comped the appetizer. Mind you, we aren’t free loaders, but have ate enough fine dining, that if they seat you late, get your food late, and screw up a $70 steak, they tend to comp the steak. Having a $300+ bill for two, with late seating and steak overcooked, comping the crab cakes was embarrassing. Thanks a ton for making us wait to pay for an overcooked steak! We tried to give them another chance after previous lackluster meals, but once again realized why we prefer if paying this type of money would rather go to Hyde Park. Beyond disappointing and doubt we will ever spend money at a Ruth Chris again.

All employees were friendly. Timing seemed a bit off as we got our salads as we were still finishing our appetizers and then the entrées with salad plates still on the table. Steak was very good as was tuna appetizer. Was less a fan of the BBQ shrimp or the crab cakes. Key lime pie was nice and a huge serving more than enough for 2.

We have celebrated birthdays for several years now and found this experience to be the best so far. We pick high end steak houses in our area, which has included HydePark, La Bistecca and Roast ( now shuttered). Each has been enjoyed but Ruth’s Chris wins. We were greeted cordially and also informed that the birthday celebrants would receive a discount on the entree commensurate with their ages, yielding a surprising bonus, in addition to a complimentary cheesecake for dessert. This alone raised the status. My wife pronounced her petite filet the best she’s ever had and mine was equally delicious. Mind you, our last steak out was in Buenos Aires, Argentina ,home to all things beef. Sides were ample and well done. Wines paired well with the meal. We look forward to another visit.

Have been coming here for years. While always pricey, now even more so. Food and service we're excellent. Only major criticism is that the wine list is now much more limited. We have always ordered wine from their wine list in the past. Our waiter advised that this was due to new management. It is difficult to find a bottle of Pinot Noir in the $40 to $50 range. Next time we're going to bring our own Pinot and pay the $25 corking fee. But just one caveat, the wine you bring can not be on their wine list.

Everything was fabulous! NY Strip steak cooked to perfection and so tasty- melting in mouth. Beautiful Chilean sea bass cut, flaked off and very moist. Spinach bed was perfect. Au gratin potatoes were luscious. Server was friendly, attentive and very informative. Best place for birthday celebrations. Your age percentage off entree within a 5 day window and a free pice of cheese cake. We both turned 74 within that window and each of us got 74% off!!!! The margarita style cocktail was fabulous too.

We booked the reservation under Anniversary and we were happily surprised when they sprinkled confetti with “Happy Anniversary” within the mix. Immediately my eyes sparked in happiness. The cocktails were the best I have had at this type of restaurant so far, and I will be going back to try more of them! Throughout dinner, our glasses were never empty and the portions were very well balanced, which allowed us to indulge in the delicious dessert options. They recommended a dessert with our surprise in mind and brought out a delectable dessert with “Happy Anniversary” on it. I could not have asked for a better visit. I definitely recommend this restaurant for any celebration and would highly recommend getting a cocktail!
