Ruth's Chris Steak House - Anaheim Ratings and Reviews
For $100 a head, they really should get the steaks right. We ordered 3 ... one was perfect, the second - my ribeye - was less than a half inch thick, and therefore WAY over cooked (I ordered medium rare, but it arrived medium well), and my son’s filet mignon, which he ordered medium rare, was a beautiful piece of meat, but was cold to the touch on the outside, and RAW. We sent it back, but by the time it was cooked to temperature, the other diners were 3/4 done. Worst experience ever at an upper end steakhouse. You’ve been warned.
Ok although my ribeye was excellent, the lobster bisque was luke warm. My wife’s Sea Bass was fishy tasting which is not normal if it was fresh. The 2 sides we had which were mashed and au gratin potatoes were also just luke warm and lacking seasoning. Not as good a meal as I thought it should be given the cost.
So it's 5:15 p.m.. The restaurant is almost totally empty. We're a party of two. We are escorted to a two-spot in the most remote corner of the restaurant. I don't get it. So tight that one of the chairs doesn't move back to allow proper leg room. When we asked to be moved the hostess had to walk all the way back to the front, then walk all the way back to move us 15 feet. Otherwise it was a good experience
Went to celebrate my birthday & everything was wonderful! Our server Alaheh was very attentive, checked on us regularly, made sure our meal was to our satisfaction. She even allowed me to select my birthday dessert instead of giving the standard issue dessert.
The meal was beyond delicious ~ the steak was so tender & buttery, the sides were rich & filling!
Loved every moment of my birthday dinner!
The entire staff made the whole meal, from start to finish, special. We were greeted and asked what we were celebrating, from the moment we told the staff it was our honeymoon everyone made the night memorable. Our server Ailee was so sweet and made our first time at Ruth's Chris special. The food was perfect. Everything we ordered was well seasoned and well prepared. The acorn squash soup we could not stop eating. The rib eye probably one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The bread pudding was the kiss goodnight to a wonderful meal. We couldn't have possibly selected a better place to celebrate and enjoy amazing food.
Waiters wasn't very friendly... no smile at all..... however the gentleman that served us water was more friendly than out waitress as well as the gentleman that stop by the table to see if everything was ok and how was the food. Even the gentleman that brought our food was a sweet guy.
Parking is a bit of a hassle, there is valet however which isn’t expensive. Definitely a place to go to for a celebration or special occasion the service was impeccable and made sure we were taken care of I appreciate the staffs efforts to make our experience a special one definitely will return.
Food was okay - salads were not very good, steakhouse salad was overdressed, Caesar was underdressed. Supermarket croutons on both. Server was good but her assistant was surly and rude. Brought dinner while the salads were still on the table, then literally flung our sides dishes onto the table. When I explained the service issue to the hostess she apologized but didn’t seem real inetersted. This is obviously a management issue.
Bad service. Very undercooked steak and then brought back scorched. (It was supposed to be medium.) Spent $270 on three people with no apologies about empty water, coffee cups and wine glasses, or very under/over cooked steak. I will never visit Ruth’s Chris again.
For starters I’ve been to the one in Pasadena and that one was great, the food was great. So my wife and I went to the one in Anaheim because it was closer and to be honest it was the better choice. Not only it was closer, it was nicer and newer. This place had style, it was super fancy, made you feel in important. The host Joey was very polite. Our waiter Chris was awesome and very informative. Our server Jaime was always on point with refills and clean ups. And finally the manager Bill, who came up to us and chatted with us for a bit, was so down to earth and very respectful and polite, I see why his whole staff are all happy and precise. Hands down the food is better than Lowry’s, Morton’s, and Fleming’s. But that’s my opinion, go try it out for yourselves. Oh and one last thing try the white chocolate bread pudding with the hazel nut sauce. I’m telling you BEST DESSERT ON THE MENU!
The model for steaks is very high temps and served on very hot plates. A ordered and received a rare steak. But since the plate was so hot it continued to cook so that it was not rare after a few minutes. I would not eat fast enough to eat it the way I like it; making it too pricey for the product.
Cheesecake was not high quality.
I guess I expected too much based on past experience at other RCs.
Great steak and accompaniment - I had the dinner combo with the 6 oz fillet and the creamed spinach that was absolutely heaven. The pre dinner chop salad was fantastic and the greatest blue cheese dressing I've ever had.
Loren the bartender was great and his team put together about the best vodka gimlet I've had in a while.
Thanks for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner
I love Ruth Chris Restaurant and have visited several location but never again will I ever go back to Anaheim. The restaurant was fabulous...but being close to Disneyland it gets lots of families and very casual dress...shorts and tee shirts are fine. PERSONALLY, I was looking for a more formal expenience for a special birthday celebration but did not feel it at Anaheim. The Elegant evening was missing as I have experience in your other restaurants. The restaurant was loud and we were unable to hold a conversation without a screaming child. In the background.
Never again will I dine there again. Irvine has all I need.
