Ruth's Chris Steak House - Anaheim Ratings and Reviews
Bad service. Very undercooked steak and then brought back scorched. (It was supposed to be medium.) Spent $270 on three people with no apologies about empty water, coffee cups and wine glasses, or very under/over cooked steak. I will never visit Ruth’s Chris again.
For starters I’ve been to the one in Pasadena and that one was great, the food was great. So my wife and I went to the one in Anaheim because it was closer and to be honest it was the better choice. Not only it was closer, it was nicer and newer. This place had style, it was super fancy, made you feel in important. The host Joey was very polite. Our waiter Chris was awesome and very informative. Our server Jaime was always on point with refills and clean ups. And finally the manager Bill, who came up to us and chatted with us for a bit, was so down to earth and very respectful and polite, I see why his whole staff are all happy and precise. Hands down the food is better than Lowry’s, Morton’s, and Fleming’s. But that’s my opinion, go try it out for yourselves. Oh and one last thing try the white chocolate bread pudding with the hazel nut sauce. I’m telling you BEST DESSERT ON THE MENU!
The model for steaks is very high temps and served on very hot plates. A ordered and received a rare steak. But since the plate was so hot it continued to cook so that it was not rare after a few minutes. I would not eat fast enough to eat it the way I like it; making it too pricey for the product.
Cheesecake was not high quality.
I guess I expected too much based on past experience at other RCs.
Great steak and accompaniment - I had the dinner combo with the 6 oz fillet and the creamed spinach that was absolutely heaven. The pre dinner chop salad was fantastic and the greatest blue cheese dressing I've ever had.
Loren the bartender was great and his team put together about the best vodka gimlet I've had in a while.
Thanks for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner
I love Ruth Chris Restaurant and have visited several location but never again will I ever go back to Anaheim. The restaurant was fabulous...but being close to Disneyland it gets lots of families and very casual dress...shorts and tee shirts are fine. PERSONALLY, I was looking for a more formal expenience for a special birthday celebration but did not feel it at Anaheim. The Elegant evening was missing as I have experience in your other restaurants. The restaurant was loud and we were unable to hold a conversation without a screaming child. In the background.
Never again will I dine there again. Irvine has all I need.
First time back, for over a year.....last experience was very bad. They charged us more for our bottle of wine, than printed on the wine list. When I complained, they said, 'the wine list missed a price hike'.....Why should that be the diners problem? When the beverage manager came to the table, he said, 'why would you think Ruth Chris would have wine at that low of a price?'.
Bill Yates the manager, tried to make 'it right', but it soured us on the honesty of Ruth Chris in general, and their attitude towards their customers. There is simply too many other choices for us to endure that sloppiness or dishonesty.
Excellent food, but questionable about ever returning.
My wife and I love this location, easy parking, fast service, fun atmosphere, and GREAT FOOD. This location has great seating, lots of space between tables so that you don't feel like you are eavesdropping in on the next table.
This night was my birthday celebration, the staff took great care of us, Lindsay was our server, she knew exactly when to freshen our drinks and bring more bread, she coursed out our meal perfectly. She was easy to talk to and fun.
Thanks to the everyone that helped to make my birthday dinner wonderful!
Food wasn't up to other Ruth Chris standards. I have been to 3 other Ruth Chris', this one left me lacking my usual yum factor. I understand the hot plates, but by the time I finished my medium rare steak was well done. There was enough food, the service was friendly, had this been my first experience, I probably would not return.
Everything was flawless. From walking in to leaving, the flow was perfect. I have been to several Ruth’s Chris restaurants and this is by far the best one. Brian, our server, was personable but not too intrusive. The host, bar, and serving staff were all working in sync. We only gave our names when we walked in and from that point, they knew who we were. Perfect last night in Anaheim with my husband.
And of course, the food was amazing. Filet Oscar is the way to go!
Really terrific food and service and ambiance. We had a TERRIBLE meal at Morton’s the night before. So glad we came here because there is simply no comparison. Ruth’s Chris is top notch a without fail. Robert our server was attentive, knowledgeable and a joy to have take care of us. Thank you Robert and team!
