Ruth's Chris Steak House - San Antonio (Airport)
At Ruth's Chris, your steak is carefully selected from the finest USDA Prime beef available. It is aged to perfection and cut by hand at the restaurant. Then, your steak is broiled - to your exact order - at a searing 1800 degrees Fahrenheit to lock in the corn-fed flavor and natural juices. It's served hot and sizzling. In fact, you can actually hear your steak sizzling from across the room.
Private dining rooms available for groups of 10-100.
What an awesome place to eat. Good was soooooo good. Frank did an awesome job of taking care of us!
Service was extremely slow and drinks and bread were not refilled without us asking. Food was delicious. Not enough privacy for our business conversation. Table seemed small for 4 and was a little unstable/wobbly. No valet. There’s another Ruth’s Chris in town that has way better service with food equally as good.
As always, food and service was excellent! We brought our Grandson as a treat for Ranking up in the Air Force. We also took advantage of the close up Military parking space.
Food was excellent. Service was great. Enjoyed the. Dining experience
The restaurant was cold. I mean cold to the point that people were wearing their coats inside (a scarf and hat on one person). We had to ask for the heat to be turned up, and I’m not sure that ever happened. The food was pretty good, but not as good as I’ve had at Ruth’s Chris before. The lobster tails were completely over seasoned. The steak was just okay. After dinner, the coffee was lukewarm. A pretty disappointing experience given how much you pay for a nice dinner.
Our server and his assistant were very friendly and attentive. The food was plentiful and delicious.
It was our first time there and also our Anniversary. We got our table and the table was really elegant with rose pedals. The service was excellent and of course the food was above the law. Very impress with the whole ordeal. Thank you
I would not recommend this location to anyone IF Frank is your server. We were neglected and passed over for other tables. We were actually in the middle of ordering, when Frank walked away from our table (I was in mid sentence), to check on another table, who was in the process of leaving. We asked him three times, for bread, and on the third time, he said "oh, you want MORE bread"! We then explained that we had not received ANY bread & then finally received some, which was three quarters through our meal.
Our "busboy" actually took such good care of us, that I ended up tipping him before the meal was over. He was the only responsive employee that I encountered besides one of the bartenders.
The food was beyond extraordinary, but when a tab for two exceeds three hundred dollars, one expects a little more attentiveness!!
Food was slow coming out of the kitchen. Steaks were over cooked. Service was slow
Excellent service and good
RC never disappoints! Its old world charm and upscale setting are always appreciated in a business lunch or dinner. Its friendly and professional staff will never leave you wanting more. This time, our server was Brian and Mark. This was my first time with Brian but I have known Mark for some 4 years now. He has been recruited by for years by some of SA's best steakhouses and now has the honor of calling RC SA A/P his home. Joe Martinez, the GM, is a wonderful manager that is on top of every detail and will reward you with a flawless execution every time. Highly recommend you to try RC if you haven't yet; and for the regular businessmen and women, to remember who can and will flawlessly execute your dinners. Much quieter setting than Perry's, more upscale than Flemings, more approachable than Little Rhein. J Prime and other's don't compare.
The food was delicious, as usual, but the service was very poor. Our main server was only seen twice, and the server who was trianing, was very poor. He allowed out tea glasses to become empty multiple times. Once, we had to ask him for refill and he fill one person’s glass but let the other one’s glass completely empty. Also, they didn’t clear the dishes from the table before being out the next course. I had to clear the table myself when the salads were brought out.
We have been going there for the last 20 years to celebrate our anniversary. Everything is excellent at this restaurant.
The place was nice but I felt that it was Too expensive.
Our server was outstanding! And the food was excellent!

11 oz filet fantastic

The ambiance was absolutely perfect for a date night.
Mark did a great job!
I had a wonderful first experience at Ruth Chris for Valentine’s Day. The menu was great!
Best Valentines dinner with my honey. Loved the calamari and cheesecake. They made made us a cranberry juice spritzer since neither of us were able to drink. Loved the snapper and asparagus. Roasted veggies were excellent.
The food and the service were excellent. However, through no fault of the restaurant, the noise level was too loud. We were seated by a group of gentlemen who didn't mind sharing all of their stories with everyone within earshot. In hindsight we should have asked to be seated at another table, even if we had to wait a little longer. Our waiter realized the situation and sent house home with dessert on the house.
I have been going to Ruth's Chris for over 20 years, and I must say this last trip may be my last. Let me start with the bar. We arrived early so we could go to the bar and have a cocktail. I had a vodka soda and my wife had a cosmopolitan. For some reason my drink didn't taste right and my wifes drink was too sweet. The bartender over heard her say it was too sweet and he insisted on remaking it. The re-make was perfect and overall the bar service was outstanding.
After we were seated at our table with a couple of exceptions, the food was outstanding. It was the service that was not up to par for a restaurant of this quality.
My wife and I both ordered the 8 oz. filet, shared a baked potato, and had the brussel sprouts. We also added a salad. Overall the food was very good with the exception of my wife's steak. She likes a little pink in her steak, but there was none. We chose not to send it back for two reasons. 1) We didn't want to wait for it to be re-done and 2) our waiter never checked to see if our food came out ok.
Without going into a lot of detail the service was just plain slow. After we had dessert we finally had to ask the waiter to get our final bill. When I spend over $200 bucks for dinner, I don't have a lot of tolerance for mediocre service.
My other complaint is the way the check is finalized. They bring a credit card machine to you table and when you get ready to tip, the lowest choice you have is 18%. I didn't see the option of leaving a tip that I felt was consistent with the service.
My final issue is that the restaurant was just too loud. If I wanted slow service and a loud atmosphere I would have went to Longhorn for a whole lot less money.
The food was ok but not spectacular. We had to wait a bit for our food, then after we ate, we had to wait almost 30 mins for the check. When we went to valet parking for our car, the lady brought us someone else's car.
With all the hype around Ruth Chris being such an a amazing steakhouse I went into the restaurant expecting the best. The ambiance was quite loud and not enjoyable for me or my boyfriend though the serving staff were quite polite and accommodating. I ordered the calimari, a glass of wine, Brussels sprouts and a fillet. The calimari was sub par, being fried to what was probably perfection then smothered in a quite distasteful Asian sauce which made the battered delicacies a pile of soggy mess. My wine was fantastic! I figured they couldn’t mess that up. Brussels sprouts were dry and not well seasoned. I have had better for half of the price. The steak was the make it or break it portion to me. I have had many steaks and found some outstanding steaks worth their every penny. I expect that if I’m buying a $50+ steak then it had better be an absolute delicacy. I know Ruth Chris prides themselves on serving steak on a hot plate I found that I did not enjoy my black and blue steak that I ordered being cooked to a medium rare while slicing it into bite size pieces. I had to move my steak to a cool plate so that I could eat my steak to the fashion that I ordered my steak. The flavor felt like a suppressed orchestra that wanted to play at full volume but was stifled in butter and seasonings. Such a beautiful cut of meat was destroyed. Overall I was quite disappointed in my experience. I will not be spending those prices for that quality of food when I can go to any other steak house and get sub par quality at a more affordable price. At the end of the night I didn’t even want to venture to get dessert secondary to my experience so far, so I opted to get bluebell on the way home.
The waiter Ryan was excellent m. His communication was great. He went over everything and gave his opinion on things we didn’t understand.
We celebrated our 49th anniversary. We were very well taken care of by Chris.
Food serice was Great I would have given it 5 Star but when I went to pay my check Ruith's Chris rrequires there customers to use a payment system at the Table. I had a gift card the waiter frist had to go off I am not sure where to use the gift card. When he came back to the table he a machine for me to pay my balance. When I went to use it it had time out. The waiter tried again it fail. It was a bad experence this type of paying for my check should be optional not a mandate to the customer. It defeltly lowers there quatily of service. I will not return unlerss they change it.
The chopped salad was not chopped finely enough. The waiter took our remaining bread away and never brought it back. The lighting in the ladies room is the worst I’ve seen. The noise level made it difficult to hear each other.
Food took a while to get there but otherwise it was good. To compensate the waiter comped a few items.
Yhe steak was cooked to perfection. I always enjoy the ambiance ce and the food. I took my sister who had never been there before and she says she will definitely come back.
Nice to go to have a great steak and it is always spot on!
The meal was very good as always but a little expensive
This was supposed to be a wonderful first time experience for my World (I had been previously and was not satisfied with the overall experience for the price I'd paid but reserved my opinion to allow him to formulate his own perspective), but instead it turned out to be yet again a very frustrating and disappointing night. The food was not nearly as good as expected, it took a considerable amount of time to locate our waiter, and it was a little more noisy then we would have liked. I believe the only memorable part of the night was the lady conducting valet...... she was phenomenal!! I don't believe we will return to this establishment.
Bryan the waiter was knowledgeable and well informed. With his past history he is a gem to keep.
I expected more...We were a party of 6 celebrating a coworkers birthday. Frank was our waiter. Some of started with the Lobster Bisque. It was bad. Lukewarm, watered down, it tasted old and smokey. The bisque at Whole Foods is waaay better. Big letdown. One of our guests returned hers, I gave mine away. Two calamari appetizers, also a letdown. Chewy and soaked in some Asian type of sweet and sour sauce. Something I would have expected from P.F. Chang's. On to the steaks. 3 of us tried the Surf & Turf with 2 lobster tails. The steak was good nothing spectacular. The lobster tails were overcooked and chewy also. My son had the 40oz steak for two. His was seasoned and tender. The sides were meh.. They did bring my coworker a cute little dessert sampler. All in all we dropped about a little under 6 bills and I wasn't impressed. We could have had better somewhere else. I was a little embarrassed because I suggested it and they let me down.
I have frequented this restaurant before and had good experience however this time it was a poor one. Our waiter was not attentive nor engaging. My husbands fillet looked practically boiled- did not have any sear marks on. Flavor of fillet just okay. Really missed the mark all around this time.
The food was fabulous. However, the restaurant was extremely crowded and loud. We had to wait for a table despite having reservations. The service was not great due to the volume of people. We had to wait to order drinks and then again for food - wait much longer than normal. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. After the appetizer our little plates were taken and never replaced which was a problem as the steak plates were small to also put our sides. It was a birthday celebration and it didn't feel as we were special. Our table was in a back corner and we felt forgotten. The waiter did bring each of us a dessert - not just the birthday boy which was appreciated but give the cost of the meal the service should have been better. Obviously they need more staff so each waiter has fewer tables to manage.
The food was wonderful and the service provided by Mark was unparalleled!
Mark was very professional as our waiter
