Rusty Scupper - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
What a great dinner, server was very knowledgeable and attentive from wine selection to menu suggestions. Helped celebrate special occasion with complimentary champagne! Food was well-prepared very tasteful . View requests overlooking the harbor honored and beautiful. Liquor was a bit more pricey than usual Likely an edit premium for city location, but overall very nice and I would highly recommend
Food was not the quality we would have expected for the price we paid. The fish and chips was extremely greasy/oily even though it was a fried dish, it was overly saturated. The lobster macaroni and cheese failed to meet expectations as it was equally as dissatisfying. It was composed of a greasy bowl of macaroni with melted cheeses, minimal flavor, --and a very small tail of lobster that required the consumer to cut and mix within the dish..it's possible that we may have visited the restaurant on a "bad day", but as of this time it is difficult to tell. Our server was difficult to understand as he did have a heavy accent and multiple occurrences of miscommunication occurred throughout our meal.
This was a special family night out while enjoying Baltimore for the weekend. We originally tried to get reservations at Phillips seafood across the harbor. However they were booked and we are happy things worked out the way they did.
When we arrived around 630 it was not very busy and fairly quiet in the restaurant. However by the time we left it was bustling with the dinner crowd.
It at first looked a bit too fancy to take our kids but they had a great kids menu and fantastic service to ensure we were not waiting long.
The view was fantastic even with the rain.
We ordered crab soup, crab cakes, cioppino, and the kids got the fried shrimp.
Everything was very tasty, was delivered promptly and our drinks were never empty.
Very satisfied evening for everyone.
Food was well cooked, flavorful. Ambience didn’t pair with the prices. I had the swordfish and was done well. The calamari appetizer was not what i expected. Parmesan breaded thrown on top of what looked like jar marinara sauce. The music was a bit loud, and the furniture seemed like it needed refurbishing. The restroom was dark and not well kept. Overall I thought the experience was overpriced for the quality of food, ambience noise level. The waiter was exceptional and friendly. I would go back again but with some hesitation.
My fiancé and I have been celebrating our meeting here for years. Our favorite dish is Shrimp Scampi. The best we've ever had anywhere. To our dismay, it was taken off the menu three months ago. Although, there were many other choices, none of what we ordered was as good. The biggest challenge was the temperature. It was cold. Although the temperature was adjusted several times, the heat did not last, cooling one's food too soon. Had to eat quickly.
We wanted to try a new place at the Harbor since we have a habit of only visiting 2 or 3 restaurants all the time we come to Baltimore. Reservations were easy and accommodating on open table and was seated quickly. So far so good right? That's when he started to go downhill. After our waiter explained we would have (2) servers for our dining experience we then had to flag a 3rd after 30 minutes of no drinks and no ordering. 2 tables were seated after us and had drinks and also were delivered a bowl of bread, again I had to flag someone down for that. An hour or so into the evening our food arrived. I had the oysters they were good but still had to ask for crackers, the shrimp cocktail was good but overdone. My wife had the crab cake and she seemed to be please with that (1 win). After hearing apologies and waiting for our check (another 15 minutes) we left and honestly agreed to never return again. Happy we tried something new but not pleased with our first and last experience at the Rusty Supper, seemed more fitting without the "C" in the name.
Brought my wife here (Rustic Scupper)for the first time for she birthday and she loves it. We will definitely come back here again. The waitress was very helper in helping us with our choices on the menu. The foods was tasty, just over all great. Waitress was knowledgeable and good spirits which are a plus to me and my wife. This place is awesome for both family and singles. The price is fair. I have been to many restaurant and I won’t say the same. I will recommend Rustic Scupper to friends and family. Thank you again Rustic Scupper for a great experience.
Loved it! Food was amazing, service was great. The waiter was very kind and tended to our needs every chance he got. We went around 5:30 pm and around 6:30-7:00 it got a little noisy. But overall the scenery and the overall experience was amazing. Will go back again! The cream of crab was delicious!
Celebrated our Anniversary and had an exceptional experience at the Rusty Scupper. Great atmosphere, view, service and food! The Crab stuffed shrimp and the Filet Minon and dessert was incredible.
Cant wait to go back. Parking is convenient and they validate so you end paying minimal parking fees. Love this place!!
My daughter chose Rusty Scupper as the venue to celebrate her 22nd birthday. the reservation was for 7 people and the restaurant was able to accommodate the increase in guests. We had a great time. The food was delicious! Thank you to all the staff who played a major part in my daughter's 22nd birthday celebration!
I didnt care for my food there was no season but my husband loved his food. I got fish and chips with an added crab cake. I also i had cream of crab soup which was delish. My husband had the swordfish which he loved. The presentation of the food was very nice. I had creme brulee for desert which was amazing. They sat us in a booth which the seating wasnt cleaned i just brushed and cleaned it with my napkin. The service was superb. I would go again for dessert.
