Rusty Scupper - Baltimore
The restaurant is beautiful! We had a table by the window. Seeing the skyline from there was fabulous! We ordered Crab Dip and Coconut Shrimp as appertizers, Delicious! Ordered Caesar Salad that was okay but large quantity. For entree, Cake & Tail - Lobster tail and Crab cake with veggies and potatoes, Very Good! There was so much we couldn't eat dinner. Pricey but worth it. Check it out if you're in the area. Book a reservation, feel special that you're on the list for a great night out. They stamp your parking ticket for a few dollars off, make sure you bring the ticket inside with you.
Cold night. Asked for great view but warm. The hostess found us great seat across from the cold windows.
Waiter was good but had to ask for refills several times. Food was awesome. Had Plank Salmon. Appetizers were great too.
Crab dip and crab cake. Fish and chips was good too.
Food was so salty and not really good fresh...but I still recommend to my friends due to the beautiful view and location. Service was good as well very welcoming host and nice staffs!!! Food should be a lot improved hope so!!!!
My partner and I was immediately sat at a nice table with a great ocean view. The view and ambience was perfect that alone deserves 3 stars. Our waiter Deshawn was a cheery waiter and had a good eye for attention to detail. He kept me and my date drinks from the bar refreshed ( we had the Lynchburg Lemonade). The drinks were “cute drinks” that wasn’t to harsh to have at lunch. Our appetizer was a jumbo lump crab cake now my only pet peeve about that was the waiter didn’t explain to us it was one crab cake but it turned out to be a nice refreshing app along with the fresh bread / red pepper aioli mix. The crab cake was defiantly jumbo lump and savory. My date has the fresh catch Atlantic Salmon and I had the shrimp scampi. My food left a lot to be desired. The noodles were dry and over cooked. The shrimp was only good part of my meal as they were succulent and full of flavor. My date was sweet enough to let me steal a piece of his salmon. I must say that was the best piece of salmon I ever had! Overall I would come back for dinner but I’ll be avoiding the shrimp scampi like the plague.
Thought it was great! Food and drinks can be pricey but the views on the harbor are amazing especially at night.
When we made our reservation on Open Table we specifically asked for a high chair. When we were seated there was not a high chair at the table. I immediately asked for one and until I asked the server again, we did not receive one. Mind you, our server did not even come to the table for 15 minutes. Needless to say, this started our dinner poorly as we our child was then becoming restless and probably bothering other customers by crying because he did not want to be held. We have visited the Rusty Scupper numerous times, but this was probably our last visit. For the amount of money we spent on dinner, our meals were so-so and our the overall experience was not pleasant. Our server was very courteous and understanding of our frustration and took care of us. Thankfully she worked hard to make it a little more pleasant for us. Definitely disappointed overall.
I went with friends for my birthday and really enjoyed it. The food and service was outstanding ,and the view was beautiful! I would recommend this restaurant to others.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration! We were sat at a scenic table. The service was excellent. The food was top-notch. What a great time!
Amazing place! First time there and the food was phenomenal and we had a gorgeous view of the harbor!
This is a delightful local restaurant with terrific water views, food, and servers.
For the money, a great brunch. Service was good. Food was plentiful and a great variety. Other than the Chocolate Chip Cookies, desserts were so so.
The Seafood Mac & Cheese was the best of the prepared dishes. If you get a harbor table, the views are wonderful.
A great place for a family gathering.
Very crowded brunch, long lines at every station with descent food, nothing provided a “wow”
Met friends for a catch up date. Views are wonderful from every seat be in the house. The brunch food selection was vast. Omlet stations, carving stations, waffle station and everything in between. Something for everyone. Jazz music really set the mood. We are repeat customers and plan on returning soon.
Our server Umberto was very attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood dishes and have zero complaints about our overall dining experience. We will definitely be back!
It was fantastic. Brilliant service.
we had a great time at dinner , however service was quite slow the waiter had us waiting for drinks and would forget things we asked for , straws, napkins and butter . we had to remind him often of the things we asked for . the food was great minus a purple potato that was sent to us . I've never seen one before and when we asked about it the waiter said oh they come in many colors . odd . but over all the experience was a great one . I've lived in Baltimore my entire life and have never been . will recommend and try again
Food and atmosphere was good. The scenery was Awesome
Not a bad seat in the place as far as views go. Reserving a table was easily done online. Easy to get to, easy to park. The menu was huge and everything that was tried was amazing! I totally recommend the Chilean sea bass ! Chris, our waiter was fantastic, fun, and knowledgeable. Drinks from the bar were perfect. I can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful view, excellent food, great service!!
Service was outstanding. View of Inner Harbor at night was beautiful. They also have a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you at your hotel. Nice touch. A bit expensive, however.
Our dinner was wonderful. I had the Chilean Sea Bass with Crab meat and my husband had the swordfish. We ordered the crab dip as an app and it was delicious. The view was great and our waiter was super nice. We would def return and recommend to friends visiting the area.
great food. did not give me a window table like i stated in my reservation request
Gave us a beautiful view as I requested! Everything was perfect (food, waitress rocky, etc!) we couldn’t have had a better time.
All around great experience. Scallops were amazing.
Great food and better service, would recommend for date night or with family
Our first time, we had a reservation for 430. We got there early and was sitted right away. Our waiter Jovonte, was amazing. He can over quickly and asked how we were and doing and if it was our first time here. He told us the history of the place, then started telling us about the food. He recommended the calamari.i told him that I had read the reviews and some were a little iffy. He then explained all the apps and went taking his time. He told us the light ones and the heavy ones. We decided to go with the calamari. I’m so glad we did, it was delicious. I had the a delicious salad and my husband had the best cream of crab soup he ever had. I choose the scallops , they were so great! He had the Salmon, he was so surprised. Why had we not went there years ago! We are so excited to go back. Thank you Jovonte for the great experience .
We were vert excited to go to this landmark in Baltimore and were excited to get a reservation. However, our experience at this restaurant was awful. The food was so bad that we had to send my daughter's crab cakes back because they tasted spoiled. The food was extremely over priced. I ordered a salad and added shrimp where I received 3 very dry over cooked shrimp that was extremely over priced. We had hoped for a better experience and we spend over $400 dollars for a meal and evening that all we have are bad memories from and food that was almost inedible. I do hope that this will readdressed. I understand it is a tourist site but guests should not be over charged for very mediocre food. I hope that that one day we can go back and have a better experience.
Absolutely wonderful experience. The suggestions from the server were spot on and the food was outstanding. The view of the Inner Harbor and Baltimore skyline at night was spectacular and, with a request for a quiet table having been honored, an appreciated romantic mood. A great place for a special night out with someone special.
The restaurant is beautifully situated with an amazing view of the harbor. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The cream of crab soup and cedar plank Salmon were out of this world. I cant wait to come back and try other dishes.
Great service ! Friendly staff ! Attentive server ! Beautiful ambience and view:) My food was delicious crab cake and stuff shrimp, crab soup was tasty as well. My hubbies food was God’s except the lobster was definitely over cooked so it made it chewy ! Pretty disappointing considering the price of the dish.
Great location, food was awesome
Service was great. Crab dip was very good. Stuffed shrimp was good. Lobster tail was good but the crab cake needed some help. All sides were bland. Would try them again but something different.
The sword fish was amazing! The muscle on wine sauce great flavor. The ambiance was beautiful right on the water. I also enjoyed this red pepper dipping sauce!! Yum👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Was out of lobster but received 50% off
Everything was impeccable from parking to dessert. Our waiter was exceptional. Great view of the Baltimore Harbor.
Food was over price and over cooked I wasn't satisfied and than the waitress wasn't a right fit
We went for Valentine's day. For the price, the food was not to par. I talk to the manager and he ask me to come back another day because they seem to not be on their A game. There were not many choices because the chef pick out the "best" for the occasion. I am a huge fan of Cream of Crab soup. They gave it to me for free because that was not cream of crab soup. Remember people - for the price. I told the manager "the best part of the whole evening was the parking (handicap parking) and the wine bottle I purchased". Maybe it was an off night "Valentine's Day" SMH.
Would definitely recommend Rusty Scupper to everyone. The experience was good from beginning to end. Drinks were perfect. Cream of Crab soup was perfect. Cedar salmon and crabcakes were excellent. Thank you so much for the perfect Valentine's day Dinner 2/14/19.
The food and atmosphere was really really good. The price is a little expensive, but it makes for a great date night!
