Rusty Scupper - Baltimore
Wonderful meal with view of inner harbor. Service was courteous, prompt and attentive. We enjoyed appetizers (calamari & shrimp cocktail) and shared our meals (Salmon, Fish & Chip, Sea Bass & Scallops) as each raved about how well each was prepared.
Service and food always very good. Disappointed that sweet potato cheesecake was not available. Ate the Thanksgiving buffet and you ran out of this dessert. Before the next time we eat there, I will call ahead to make sure that you have the cheese cake.
Easter brunch was delightful! Nice ambiance, great food including seafood, salad buffet, omelet station, beef and ham carvery. Dessert buffet was nice. Music was just right, not too loud and the 1:15 seating was comfortable- not over crowded
Not what I thought it would be, very messy buffet for easter brunch ..Price high for what you got
I came here for the first time in August for my 40th birthday, it's was so nice. The view we had was gorgeous. Everywhere you sit in the restaurant has a picture perfect view of the Inner Harbor and Federal Hill. I took pictures and it's something that the camera cannot catch, you have to be there to witness the beauty of the Harbor. We went for brunch on Easter. We were seated right away. Our server kept our glasses full, took the dishes when we were done with them, and was very polite. I enjoyed myself every time I come to Rusty Scupper. The food is excellent and the jazz band was awesome. Thank you for making my Easter Sunday an enjoyable one. Thank you.
Excellent service and atmosphere for Easter Sunday brunch
We go to the Rusty Scupper Special Event brunches for every holiday: Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day,Thanksgiving. It's usually the highlight of our day and we look forward to the splurge. This Easter, I don't know what has changed but from the time we arrived everything was disappointing. They appeared to have moved to specific "seatings" which created a very overcrowded check in area. We had to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation. Our pre-request for seating to accommodate my father's disability was ignored. Lines at the buffet were terrible (followed by virtually no activity because everyone was seated at once.) The food was lackluster, overcooked, no bread or rolls were available, only pastries. The desert buffet was not frequently replenished and looked empty by 11:00am when the first seating was at 10:00/10:30? Our server was terrible. We had to flag her down to refill drinks and ask for empty plates to be removed. This was not at all the kind of service we're used to at the Rusty Scupper. We cancelled our Mother's Day reservation and have made reservations elsewhere.
They always have a good buffet and the service was good nice place to go when in Baltimore
What a fiasco. The place was chaos. I’ve been here on holidays before and it’s never been like this. We were a party of 5 for brunch on Easter at 10:45 and we were seated after 11:15. They tried to seat us “upstairs” - a flight of stairs higher than the buffet when a member of our party struggles with stairs. Fiasco. Then got a different table on the main level. The buffet was messy and they didn’t seem to do a very good job keeping it clean. The food was truly mediocre this trip.
Consistently excellent Sunday Brunch with a great selection. Servers are friendly and helpful. Love this place!
Huge Spread of food for the Brunch buffet, all of which was pretty average. Dinner here is always amazing though.
Nice but our table was next to the waiter tables. Can you find another place for the waiter station ?
I fell in luv when I walk in the food and service was so great will be going again 😘
We had a great family dinner. It was a little pricey but the food was quite good. The view of the inner harbor was beautiful and the service was excellent. Great experience.
Seafood is outstanding! My husband had the half chicken which was excellent and I had a ceasar salad with huge gulf shrimp (I took home half of it, it was that big). I had to save room for the warm butter cake with strawberries and ice cream--delicious and worth the calories! A couple got engaged during our meal which was very sweet and the Hyatt where we were staying called and had the shuttle pick us up and take us to the restaurant and then take us back to the hotel. After a day of walking Inner Harbor, that was wonderful!
Service was mediocre at best I didn’t even get what I ordered and quality of food for the price was AWFUL couldn’t even rectify the situation bc we didn’t see our server until we were done our meal so disappointed ☹️
As always the food was fantastic. The server should consider a different occupation
There are three components to a dining experience atmosphere, food and service.
This restaurant delivered on the atmosphere and food but we had to request to have a "server reassignment " as our server was bad. With the price of going to dinner pricey I want all three components and will not settle.
Great food, great service in a beautiful setting. Jennifer our waitress couldn't be more nice!
Came to visit with friends. They suggested this place. It was Good Friday and everything was wonderful. From the front desk greeting, to the drink suggestions at the bar. We sat looking at the beautiful harbor and enjoyed the Chilean Seabass Special, Jumbolaya and Ribeye steaks. The Crab stuffed shrimp as additions were great. We will definitely be returning if ever visiting Baltimore again.
Food was not seasoned very bland. The server seemed new and didn't check on us when we needed other items.
Server gave us great tips on the menu and was on point with every recommendation, from going half and half on the Maryland crab and cream of crab soups to the butter cake dessert. Unbeatable view, and all the food was delicious.
The setting of The Rusty Scupper is gorgeous. We sat at a table next to the window, with a beautiful view of the Inner Harbor. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We love The Rusty Scupper and were excited to return to one of our favorite restaurants on the Inner Harbor.
The view from the Rusty Scupper was wonderful. Nice restaurant, but very overpriced and the service was terrible. After waiting for water, drinks, to order, etc... we noticed that people that were seated after us were already eating. Eventually, the waitress acknowledged they had lost our food ticket!! The manager was very nice, but offered us soup as we waited. Our meal should have been free as long as we waited! I ordered the scallops and for $40, I received 4 scallops. Way over priced!!
The food was excellent! Beautiful view and wonderful atmosphere.
Good food ... good service.. and superb experience!
I brought an employee of mine from out of town to the Rusty Scupper to give her the "Baltimore Seafood Experience" and I can say that no one was disappointed. Everything was great and the service was fantastic.
Food was absolutely outstanding. Service was good until time for dessert, when we waited an excessive amount of time for our desserts to come out. I understand that the restaurant got busy, but the wait was really too long. Otherwise, our server was excellent and attentive. Would definitely eat there again. Seafood it was fresh and beautifully prepared.
The best Sunday Brunch ever! Drinks were great and the food did not disappoint!
Food was amazing, especially fo the price. Would definitely visit again.
Josh was our server. Very polite, knowledgeable of the menu and cared to our every need. Recommending this place to others!
Tourist stop for seafood.

I would go back because of the overall package of enjoyment. Josh was attentive but not overly so, the crab dip was lovely and the Maryland crab soup was tasty but not as tasty as a chowder. The crab stuffed shrimp was also memorable and dependably tasty and but not so creative as to get a wow. The table by the window overlooking the harbor was worth it if you are lucky enough to get one and made the evening special enough to be a notable visit.
Our server, Zach, and another associate, Chancellor, were so cordial, efficient and accommodating. We will definitely return.
My lobster was okay but not as fresh as I would have liked. My husband's steak was very good.
The seating area is small and the decor is no frills.
Service was slow.
We choose the Rusty Scupper for my husband's birthday and travelled from DC to meet up with our son. We were stationed in Baltimore in1990 and my father in law took us to the Rusty Scupper many years ago. We came for nostalgia. We are much older now and have experienced many restaurants over the years. Found Rusty Scupper food to be very good. Portion size okay but very very pricey in comparison to other seafood restaurants. Felt we did not get want we paid for.
We had issues with our waiter going MIA for 50 minutes. The Manager was requested to discuss this issue. He was very apologetic and accommodating. I feel he listen to our concerns and rectified the issue. The food was delicious and I would recommend a visit to this place!
We had a very nice meal for two. We were seated in the bar area for a cocktail and appetizer as requested. Our dining table was overlooking the Inner Harbor which is very scenic at night. The food was very delicious and our special sides request was fulfilled with a smile. We will definitely return if we’re ever in Baltimore again.
Outstanding restaurant! Excellent food and excellent service!
The food was fine and the views from the restaurant were lovely, but the evening was almost ruined when the waiter told us the restaurant shuttle was running from the restaurant to nearby hotels. If no one was there, wait and it would be back soon. After a 20-30 minute wait, we went back into the almost empty place to be told the shuttle did not run on Sundays. We got an Uber and went back to our hotel.
Hi, Diane. Thank you for your visit and your feedback. I sincerely apologize for the miscommunication about the shuttle.
