Rusty Scupper - Baltimore
I brought an employee of mine from out of town to the Rusty Scupper to give her the "Baltimore Seafood Experience" and I can say that no one was disappointed. Everything was great and the service was fantastic.
Food was absolutely outstanding. Service was good until time for dessert, when we waited an excessive amount of time for our desserts to come out. I understand that the restaurant got busy, but the wait was really too long. Otherwise, our server was excellent and attentive. Would definitely eat there again. Seafood it was fresh and beautifully prepared.
The best Sunday Brunch ever! Drinks were great and the food did not disappoint!
Food was amazing, especially fo the price. Would definitely visit again.
Josh was our server. Very polite, knowledgeable of the menu and cared to our every need. Recommending this place to others!
Tourist stop for seafood.

I would go back because of the overall package of enjoyment. Josh was attentive but not overly so, the crab dip was lovely and the Maryland crab soup was tasty but not as tasty as a chowder. The crab stuffed shrimp was also memorable and dependably tasty and but not so creative as to get a wow. The table by the window overlooking the harbor was worth it if you are lucky enough to get one and made the evening special enough to be a notable visit.
Our server, Zach, and another associate, Chancellor, were so cordial, efficient and accommodating. We will definitely return.
My lobster was okay but not as fresh as I would have liked. My husband's steak was very good.
The seating area is small and the decor is no frills.
Service was slow.
We choose the Rusty Scupper for my husband's birthday and travelled from DC to meet up with our son. We were stationed in Baltimore in1990 and my father in law took us to the Rusty Scupper many years ago. We came for nostalgia. We are much older now and have experienced many restaurants over the years. Found Rusty Scupper food to be very good. Portion size okay but very very pricey in comparison to other seafood restaurants. Felt we did not get want we paid for.
We had issues with our waiter going MIA for 50 minutes. The Manager was requested to discuss this issue. He was very apologetic and accommodating. I feel he listen to our concerns and rectified the issue. The food was delicious and I would recommend a visit to this place!
We had a very nice meal for two. We were seated in the bar area for a cocktail and appetizer as requested. Our dining table was overlooking the Inner Harbor which is very scenic at night. The food was very delicious and our special sides request was fulfilled with a smile. We will definitely return if we’re ever in Baltimore again.
Outstanding restaurant! Excellent food and excellent service!
The food was fine and the views from the restaurant were lovely, but the evening was almost ruined when the waiter told us the restaurant shuttle was running from the restaurant to nearby hotels. If no one was there, wait and it would be back soon. After a 20-30 minute wait, we went back into the almost empty place to be told the shuttle did not run on Sundays. We got an Uber and went back to our hotel.
Hi, Diane. Thank you for your visit and your feedback. I sincerely apologize for the miscommunication about the shuttle. Eduardo our waiter did a great job.
The service was excellent. The food was great. The ambiance is amazing, looking out at the beautiful Baltimore Inner Harbor.
It was following Sunday brunch, so I didn't expect so much noise. I also expected that people would not necessarily be in formal wear, but certainly not dressed for the beach. The food and service were good, though.
This place never disappoints
Sunday Brunch was awesome
Great food and a great environment! Our server was fantastic and very responsive. It was a bit noisy, but wasn't overwhelming. We will be returning!
Views can't be beat. Pricey meal but worth it. We all enjoyed our meals although portions we're on the small side. Cocktails were delicious.
April 6th was my birthday dinner and everything that could go wrong went wrong. Kitchen messed up half the orders, server was overwhelmed, mangers had zero clue what was going on and didn’t immediately know how to help. Some items were comped but I think they whole check should have been because the women that paid should not have.
I’ve been to the Rusty Scupper before when it was great. This time it was extremely subpar
Overpriced for the quality of the food. Also beware they cook with oil that is also used to cook walnuts. Very dangerous for people that have allergies. It isn’t written anywhere and I found out by accident when I ordered calamari and said “ there are no nuts right?” Very scary When I told the managers he was very nice and agreed that it should be written somewhere.
We had a superb lunch at The Rusty Scupper! Mari who was our server was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely knowledgeable regarding the appetizers, Entrees and desserts! She attended to our every need. Her casual yet very professional demeanor was quite refreshing.
We eat at least twice at this restaurant on our monthly trips to Baltimore. The service is second to none, and normally the food is too. However, this time was disappointing. The crab legs portion was half the size of normal.
Celebrated son's birthday at the Rusty Scupper - the service and food was excellent and the view outstanding.
The Chilean Sea bass with crab special was an excellent dish along with the Grilled salmon which was cooked perfectly and with wonderful favors. Enjoyed the table view of the harbor with plenty of room between tables. The service was very prompt and responsive to our needs. An excellent dining experience all around.
For the price I expected better service. $110 steak over cooked and not offered any concession. The waitress gave incorrect info and was not knowledgeable. She said she had been sick and made excuses for the misinfo instead of just getting the manager right away. I expect more professional service at this price point. The view was beautiful and the food quality was great.
The ONLY reason anyone should go to the Rusty Scupper is for the Jumbo crab cakes. All of the other food was well below average, and the service was horrible. The wait staff made us feel rushed and cleared a drink glass with 2 inches of gin and tonic left, without asking if we were done.
Thanks for your feedback. While I am happy to hear you love the crab cakes, I am disappointed to learn about your experience. Rest assured I will review this with my team to make sure we meet expectations going forward. Would you be willing to continue this conversation so that I can learn more about your time with us? Excellent food! Great atmosphere! A little pricey!
Had a great experience and server was excellent!
Visiting from out of town. This was definitely one of our most memorable experiences and dinners from the trip! Beautiful view with great service and ambience!
The overall rating is okay because of the location and service. The food itself is not worth the money. I ordered the lobster pot pie which was on their signature dishes section. From what I received, I would have assumed this was a first try at a new recipe by a new chef. The presentation was poor, the pan was half-empty, the lobster was chewy, the inside was watery, and there was little in the way of vegetable filler. It was a complete waste of money and something that should not remain on the menu. It is probably the worst dish I've had at any restaurant in Baltimore. Hopefully there was a drastic problem in the kitchen that night to explain the poor cooking. What's worse is that after dinner the server mentioned there had been some complaints about the dish by other tables. So maybe they should stop serving it. And the real courtesy would be if they had removed it from the bill. No one should be paying for that dish.
Great restaurant! Rockfish was my favorite but it was a little over cooked. The muscles are outstanding, we also ordered the calamari which definitely needed some salt or seasoning in the batter. Service was excellent
We were looked after and entertained by the waiter. He was great.
Awesome service, AMAZING salmon, beautiful view and piano in the background. Perfect place for our dinner for 6.
Our waiter, Sydney, made it perfect. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend it
First time eating here and LOVED it. Will definitely recommend
My 1st visit was a very surprising one, I had no idea how wonderful it would be, the set up and the variety of choices were more than i expected. The jazz band really made it an enjoyable experience. Thank you
It was a date day! My husband and I were first timers! We absolutely enjoyed the experience!
