The food was amazing. Great wine selection, a hidden gem . Not very culturally diverse but welcoming. The food was hot, fresh, cooked just right and tasty. The bread was fresh and the bruschetta was so delicious. Nice lightening, very Zen vibe and even though there was conversations it wasn't overly loud. Sincerely recommend this jewel of a restaurant.

But my surprise was ruined!!!! When text confirmation was sent to my husband's phone...how did you even get his number???
All reservation info was mine not his.
So I called and asked about this, was told someone would contact me...and of course it never happened

Had lunch here for mother's 80th birthday. Nice waitress who was friendly; food was great ( salads with shrimp and pasta); and the little town was charming. I would definitely go back!

Still--in my view--the very best restaurant on Kent Island. Wonderful food, an excellent wine selection, an intriguing location (in the heart of downtown Stevensville, but with sheep often grazing in the pasture across the street), and knowledgeable servers.

WE scheduled at 7 pm on a monday. the restaurant was surprisingly busy. We were seated quickly but the drink order came after the appetizers, we had to ask for more water and the sadly my entree was cold and had to be sent back which is not like me. i have eaten here before for lunch and had a great experience.

Our third time to Rustico--and this time was not the charm. The others were enjoyable experiences with great food. Tonight's meal was a lousy experiencee.

First, our party of six was put in a side room with a family of six--with 4 toddlers. I'm kid friendly--except when fine dining with a reservation made days ahead. Add to that, the table was next to the office and we enjoyed a frantic manager running past our table frequently.

Next, our server would have been good at a Chillis/Applebees/etc--but not up to the task of making a fine dining experience.

Third, the kitchen was overwhelmed. It took an hour for our entrees to arrive after ordering. The service staff was not up to the task with the wait--we were left without drinks for long periods of time during the wait for food.

Last, most of the entrees were great and cooked properly. Avoid the rack of lamb--it was tough, slightly under cooked, and slightly cold. The steak knife accompanying the lamb was extremely dull. Had to resort to using a butter knife untill our server came back 20 minutes later when food was mostly eaten.

Summary: the Rustico is better than most chain restaurants--but also charges significantly more. Not worth the bill tonight.

We stopped here after being stuck in traffic for an hour and a half just to grab a bite to eat on a whim. As soon as we walked in, we were so surprised at how fantastic everything way. Make sure you try the baked brie and all the pasta was incredible. Not to mention, it was a super cold and windy night and we couldn't have found a cozier place to have dinner. Would go a million times again.

Our Book Club had the best time ever! Our server was attentive, and friendly, and just perfect!

We spent our weekly Tuesday Ladies night out at Rustico. It was a very pleasant experience, food was delicious and our Waitress was exceptional.

Always dependable. One of our favorite restaurants for a special night and quiet dinner. Food and service have always been good.

Went for Valentines day. Had a very nice prix fix menu.

We enjoyed the Valentines Day special menu. The salmon and seafood fettuccine were delicious. I really enjoyed the Red Velvet Cheesecake. We will be back!

Excellent service and the food was great. I had the steak and it was very tender. The grilled artichoke hearts were so good. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Simply delicious! A great surprise at just how great the food and atmosphere was!

Our first time there. We’ve been hearing about it and finally made it. The calamari was perfect-crisp but not dried out. Fried green tomatoes were amazing! I had the linguine with clam sauce, which was great although a touch too much oil for me but it was certainly authentic. The linguine was perfectly al dente. We will be back!!!

Great Christmas Eve dinner with family. Local carolers came into restaurant to sing some carols before our meal.

Reliable good food and atmosphere in a historic downtown Stevensville building. Has been there for years and is always dependable and friendly. Food is always good. We went for our annual family Christmas eve dinner.

For a fun weekend visit the antique shops next to and across the street and then finish with lunch or dinner at Rustico's.

Our family enjoyed a nice dinner before Christmas. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was great! We even left room for desserts which were great too!

We have been to Rustico a few other times before, but last week's visit was truly top notch. We went to celebrate the holidays, just the two of us, before traveling to see family. Food, service and ambiance were really fantastic.

Two of us at an off time...2:00 pm...so we were all alone .....our waitress was wonderful...very attentive without being overbearing ...she ran out after us when she discovered I had left my iPad on the table.
We each had a delectable crab bisque....flavorful and smooth with just the right consistency. She informed us that it is always made to order. We shared a sandwich of fresh ingredients...ie crispy dark green lettuce......
We look forward to returning with more friends...

We were surprised to walk into a dinner for two special on Tuesdays, perfect, more than enough food for two. Good wine pours too!

We have been there a number of times for our ladies birthday lunches and have been very pleased every time with the food and service. We will keep coming back. We live on the Eastern Shore so it is about an hour drive and well worth the drive.

Rustico never fails to deliver a wonderful meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food arrived promptly but we did not feel rushed. This is our "go to" restaurant when we want a really good meal and when we pick to restaurant to go to with friends. Whatever they are doing ....I hope they keep doing it!

Food was great! We had 4 appetizers, 4 entrees and 2 desserts. Plus wine and beer. All delicious and fairly priced. Waitress was efficient but cold. Noise level was extremely high. All of us at the table had a difficult time hearing and conversation was almost impossible.This was mainly due to an extremely loud table next to ours. Unfortunate! I was disspointed because it was my birthday which I had noted on my open table reservation. I also told the hostess when we arrived that it was my birthday and we were celebrating at rustico. The hostess said ' oh'. That was it! I will return to rustico but not for a birthday or special occasion.

If not for open table we never would have known about/found Rustico - and we are glad we did. My wife and I went for our Anniversary dinner, and had a great time the restaurant is nice - our server Rachel was friendly knowledgeable and attentive without being hovering. But most of call the food was amazing - 11 years earlier we were on our honey moon in Italy, and we felt like we were back there - enjoyed every bit of everything we ordered!

Lucky for us it’s local, for our friends it’s worth the drive. Love it!

We dine here about three times per year. Always a great meal and experience. Sara was our server. She was very attentive to our table. Great job!

Love this restaurant. It is fantastic Italian food, in a seafood dominated area (the eastern shore). I would have given a five star rating but our food took a long time to come out, and when it did, it was not very hot. The Eggplant Rollatini was dry. Otherwise, the food was delicious. Have eaten there several times and it's always delicious. I hope this was just an off night for them.

We go here often. Twice in the last two weeks...4 times in the last 6 weeks. Very good food but service has become average to poor. Two weeks ago we got our entrees delivered at the same time as the salads. We think salads sat for a while. Waitress apologized and comped us for the salads which was nice. We gave our normal good tip and came back a week later with friends who have never been there. After getting our cocktails and AFTER a few sips we found a fly in one of the drinks. YUCK. Not a good start. Waitress simply said, oh you have a fly in your drink I'll get you another which she did. No apologies like it happens all the time?

We have noticed new waitstaff faces everytime we go. Seems like lots of turnover.

So it will be awhile before we go back and we will no longer recommend the place.

For the price, because they are on the high end, we'll go elsewhere.

Rustico is always excellent, we are never disappointed. Service, food and atmosphere. A hiden gem in Stevensville.
