Rustico Restaurant & Wine Bar
The décor of Rustico emanates old world "rustic" Italy with a soothing palette of brick red, amber and natural cherry wood floors.
The wine bar offers guests the opportunity to enjoy drinks before or after eating, sample pairings from our bar menu, or simply to unwind in a relaxing atmosphere. Rustico’s wine list offers over 20 wines by the glass as well as a 200 bottle collection, focusing mainly on the varietals of Italy, the second largest producer of wines worldwide.
We ordered our meals & 2 kids meals, we asked for a meatball for our 7 year old to go with his kids meal. I knew there would be an additional charge but we were charged for an entree & the meatball was dry. A manager wasn’t on duty to speak with on a Saturday night. The server never mentioned that it was an entree.
Also, we selected Special occasion & went into more detail so the hostess or server would have at minimum mentioned it - our kids would have gotten a charge out of that personal touch!
Several missed opportunities for the restaurant to improve the customer experience.
I love having such an upscale restaurant such as Rustico in our small town, and whether everyday lunch or special evening out it is so suitable.
However, I always leave disappointed for the over use of salt in almost every dish. Each time I dine there, I mention this to staff and manger; this time a side dish was unedible for so much salt, it negated the dish totally.
A nice evening resulting in disappointment.
This was our first time and we were overly pleased with everything. We started with the Aubergine antipasti. It was perfect - right temperature, delicious, and the right amount. For our entrees, our waitress highly recommended the Filetto ai Funghi and the Linguine di Crema, which my husband and I happily ordered, respectively. The linguine was delicious. My husband graciously gave me a bite of the steak, and it, too, was delicious. If you order it, make sure you get it medium rare, at the most. Any more and it would ruin the cut.
I like their current chef. There was one there for a while that was not so great and we stopped going, but decided to give it a try after a few years and we’ll be back again soon.
Food was fabulous, as usual! So happy to have such a wonderful restaurant in our own neighborhood.
We recommend Rustico to friends all the time!
We love the main courses and appetizers - and the wine selection!
The food was mediocre at best and the service could’ve improved. Maybe it was a bad night for the cooks but we couldn’t finish our food. The Veal was so salty that I began gagging after eating for a short period of time. The sides such as mashed
Potatoes and asparagus were sublime!
Groupercwas great, as was the grilled cesear alad.
Food options were minimal and only okay for the price. Wines were very expensive. Staff was pleasant enough but took too long to check in on our needs. I LOVE chocolate and their chocolate decadent cake was extremely disappointing.
Rustico is one of our top three restaurants in the area, which is saying a little more than you might think when you realize we live in central Anne Arundel County. This was our first Valentine's Day dinner there, and the food was--as expected--awesome. The special menu made it more expensive than usual for the evening, but the harpist (who was immediately behind our table) was worth the increased price. The restaurant was completely full for the evening, but our server couldn't have been more attentive and responsive. We'll definitely do Valentine's Day dinners there again!
The meal is always great at Rustico, as well as the service.
Loved the ambiance of the converted home and we were seated in quiet part of the restaurant (party of 7) which made conversation easy. The wait staff was fine. My main negative was the lack of crab in the three items that contained them. The risotto dish was not plated very appetizingly and my friend ate almost none of it. Wait staff didn't seem to notice that the plate appeared almost untouched. Probably the crab is more abundant in the summer months. I would probably rate the experience a little higher if a lower priced menu had this condition. Desserts were good. Glad I had room for it.
Meals we good, but all arrived "cool" not "hot". Staff were great.
We would go back again.
The food was outstanding and there are a lot of choices to make - fresh fish, meat, pasta and salads. I had the rack of lamb and it was tender and flavorful. They have an extensive wine list as well. The setting is quiet and conducive to conversation. Highly recommend it
great bar area and waitstaff! Very good selection of wines - a must! Food was very well presented and delicious. The lamb was perfect - pink, tender and quite flavorful. This restaurant is a winner; just perfect for a weekend meal for a traveler.
A great place to dine in Kent Island. Cozy atmosphere, consistently good food. Great place to dine in the winter.
Soup was cold
Water was never refilled
Lemon was never brought for my water
Lighting was poor
In my reservation I mentioned it was a bday and it was not acknowledged
Early dinner for 2 at 4 p.m. on a Saturday, so not prime-time for dinner, and it took the kitchen a little time to get going. However, we were in no hurry and didn't mind. Once things got moving, the appetizers, entrees and dessert were all excellent. Appetizer, cozze and vongole, was well-done in a nice white wine sauce. Recommend the sea bass, which was on the specials menu, if it should re-appear when you are there. Service was fine, the dining room was not busy at this hour (by 5:45 when we left, it had gotten busier), so we took our time and really enjoyed this place.
Celebrated our anniversary with some friends. Food was very yummy. Server was attentive and checked on us often without being obtrusive. Good wine list. Nice ambiance. Had a table by the front window that was roomy and didn’t put us in the middle of the room so the noise level was reasonable. They also have a nice bar area that is separate from the dining room. Decor is charming.
We’ve been before when service was awful...food always good but service had been iffy. Not going his time...service was perfect, food soooo good, didn’t rush us, and they were busy. I won’t wait so long before my next visit this time!
This place is a wonderful find in a cute town. Well thought out and prepared, not stuffy.
I have been to Rustico now two times and both experiences have been fantastic. Great food, good wine selection, cozy atmosphere and phenomenal service. Well worth the drive from Annapolis.
This was our second visit, and both times we've experienced excellent food and friendly, attentive service. We are definitely making this one of our standard dining out options.
Our server was great and paced the meal very well. She was very helpful with menu recommendations. The food was very good especially one of the specials.
Food was very good and the ambience was excellent. It was crowded Christmas Eve and our server a bit distracted, but very polite and nice. I definitely will be visiting again.
Everything was delicious. The Fra Diiavola was the best I’ve ever had.
My wife and I eat at Rusticos once or twice a year and we have eaten there for 10 years or more. The service and food always meet our expectations. They offer good wines at reasonable prices. I had an Orvieto which was quite good. In summary, the food and service are consistently excellent.
My girlfriend was very happy. The staff did a wonderful job with helping out the flowers I got her in water beforehand so it was a surprise. Also, the food was spectacular!
A great place for food and wine in the quaint town of Stevensville. I always get the lamb and it is outstanding.
Wonderful food! Rustico is one of our favorite date night restaurants in a gem of a town. It has small town ambience with delicious food. My husband and I had a four-course meal with Caesar salad, brie, filet, and creme brulee. All our favorite staples at this restaurant.
We had a wonderful waiter. The food was delicious, especially the brie and mushroom appetizer and seafood crepes. Wasn't a fan of the 'donut' type dessert, but our table ordered other wonderful Tiramisu and other desserts. Great ambiance!
We enjoyed a wonderful Birthday dinner for my wife. The food and service were fantastic! We will definitely be back.
Tastefully decorated, with eye-catching Tiffany window insert and artwork by talented locals, this little jewel in the town of Stevensville is worth "discovering." Worth mentioning is a superb lobster bisque and a memorable seafood stew as well as a savvy wine list (half price bottles on Wednesday) and sweet service. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Private dining rooms and pretty little porch.
We have been here before and have always enjoyed ourselves. Meal was good, as was the service, and BONUS, it was "Half Price on Bottles of Wine night". You can't beat that!!!
food was excellent. featured red wine was not available and the server disclosed it ran out the night before....yet it was presented on Monday's special menu. Service was poor....you needed at least one additional server.
Had a very relaxing afternoon with great food, wine, and company. We were not rushed and the service was excellent!
Loved the food and great service
Consistently good, cozy dining on a cool night. Creative pasta and fish dishes.
Great food and service as usual. Give it a try, it's one of our favorites
See my prior reviews. This is a real gem! Wonderful food, staff in a great little town.
