Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar Ratings and Reviews
We had a reservation for 9pm when we arrived they said our table wasn’t ready they would text me when it was available after a hour of waiting we went back and they said there was a change of shift and they didn’t know about our reservation the manager on duty was standing there and just walked away.
We have been to the Rustic Kitchen many times and always enjoy it. 2 of us had crab stuffed shrimp and rated it very highly. Another diner enjoyed the crab cakes. My husband was disappointed in the seafood fra diavolo because it was not spicy at all. However there was plenty of lobster meat. Our server, Sara, was great--not too pushy or too quick with the food. She always appeared at just the right time!
Went on weekday night.Very comfortable and low key! The entree special that I had was incredible!Seared ahi tuna in putenesca sauce (capers and black olives, chopped red cherry tomatoes) accompanied by spinach parmesan risotto.I thought I was dining in New York City for a moment! This was a substantial portion and I would definitely go back.
We have been spending New Year’s Eve at Mohegan Sun for several years and it includes dinner at Rustic Kitchen. Our meals were exceptional as always. Our server, Leah, wonderful. We do appreciate having the manager stop at every table to assure that all meals are served to the customers satisfaction.
Rustic Kitchen continues to be at the top of our dining list in the Wilkes Barre area.
In the past, we've had very good meals here. This time, not very good. Veal parm was average, at best. Tasted like frozen patties. My wife said her chicken was hard. Service slow. Probably going to try somewhere else next time. Don't like to be negative, but....on the positive side, the ambiance is excellent.
We actually went on New Year’s Eve, in the afternoon. Restaurant was not paCked as of yet. The waitress was very attentive, not overbearing whatsoever. The food was excellent, it came in a timely fashion. I had the crab cakes and for dessert I had the champagne cake which was scrumptious. They did not rush us out, which was a plus especially on a holiday. Would definitely go again!
Waiter was extremely bland, almost bothered to be there. He was prompt however refilling the water glasses and slow with everything else...
Food was OK...special was extremely over-priced for the portion size.
We have been here before and everything was good (food, prices, and service). This visit left alot to be desired, unfortunately.
This was a Birthday dinner and it was disappointing .
Valet parking took an hour and a half.
We had the scallops and they weren’t great. Food wasn’t worth the wait or the price.
Drinks were delicious, had a tiramisu martini and a manhattan. The only positives of the occasion
The service was wonderful, everyone was very friendly and attentive. We started with the meatball appetizer and the calamari. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. The night we were there was all can eat pasta night. It was great. We had three marinara sauce and the vodka sauce with grilled chicken..both were good and the portions were so large that we couldn't have seconds!! My Caesar salad was awesome, cold and crisp.
Because we weren't full enough we then shared the brownie bottom cheesecake, loved it!
But $10 for a glass of wine was ridiculous. Since we weren't asked what brand we wanted and didn't see a wine list one would think it was the house wine. It was good but certainly not worth that
First time dining here. Went on Christmas Day at 7:45 pm. Was seated immediately and although the place was crowded the service was great. Our server was fantastic (unfortunately his name escapes me right now). Very attentative but not overly. Food was really good and served hot and was fresh. I would go back again without hesitation.
This restaurant is within the Casino, but can easily be accessed by those under 21 by going around gaming floor.
Service and food are excellent.
Prices are a bit steep, but probably worth it for the quality. I have yet to order something that was not just delicious, but exceptional
Made 1:30pm reservations for Christmas Dinner, The restaurant was full but got seated immediately. Waitress came right over & had drinks quickly. Entrées, soup & main courses were excellent as always. Two of us had Rustic Bistro Salads that both of us though could have been fresher, Please keep in mind it was Christmas Day & there was no rush to get us out . I look forward to returning & didn't mention it waitress as maybe I should of because I have never had an issue there and I'm sure they would of rectified it.
Christmas Eve, My wife orders a Caesar salad as usual and the parmesan basket was stale. This happened the last time she ordered it and there was no problem, they just replaced it and it was fine(fresh able to chew). This time i stopped the manager and we both tried to tell her it was stale and she said thats how they are made and was very abrupt and not happy about taking her salad back. When it came out the second time she said here this is fresh made today. Hmmm, so the first one wasn't? ok so i always order a baby spinach salad and it comes with lots of olives and golden beets with a nice clump of red onions on top. Not this time, four olives, six small pieces of beets and two very small rings of onion. Table of five and they agreed the manager was very rude. We make our own parmesan chips so we know that the next day they get stale, gummy and hard to chew. No apology or even just to stop back as most managers do to say sorry about that, Nothing
I've eaten at Rustic Kitchen several times over the last few years, mostly during the holidays and its always been an enjoyable time. I now have Celiac disease and when I asked our waitress what my options were, I received what I considered to be a snarky response, almost like I was bothering her when I asked what I could order off of the menu. I will not be returning to Rustic Kitchen next Christmas.
Rustic Kitchen seems to be going Downhill.
Went to celebrate our Birthdays.Wife had the Scallops which she likes.
I tried the Bone-in Ribeye again(last time it was terrible),this time also Bad(Tough,Mucho Fat).
Wait time long getting Service.
Price of a glass of Wine Ridiulous($9.50) for a quarter of a glass.
Probally last time dining here
This was our second visit to Mohegan Sun in PA. The first time we went to Ruth Chris, so we wanted to try something different. Very conveniently located, atmosphere was fun although very wobbly table. Service was excellent. Food-eh. Wouldn’t necessarily go back. The Italian spring rolls were maybe the best bite I’ve had in awhile. The potato crab soup was also delicious, however a special. Now, main dishes. I had the special chicken ravioli and my husband had the Bolognese dish. For an Italian inspired restaurant, the pasta was poorly cooked. I love al dente but this was down right crunchy. The ravioli also lacked a little flavor and was very heavy. The arugla was needed to cut through the sauce. For the other dish, the ratio of meat sauce to pasta was also off. So much sauce on top of pasta and the sauce was mushy. The flavor of the meat sauce was delicious . I just wish that the pasta was cooked more and the meat in the sauce wasn’t so pasty. The service was great however I did feel rushed as the dishes came out without any time really in between courses. Our server was very attentive and wonderful however the manager came over 6 too many times to check in on us. A plus was it’s priced Very well. Overall eh. I kind of had a better meal at the buffet brunch the next morning in the hotel and will try probably that next time for dinner.
The staff forgot to smile. I ordered veal marsala and another member of my party ordered chicken marsala. They switched the order which we could only determine once we started eating since both dishes were covered in sauce. The other person in our group ordered and a tuna steak that was tough and overcooked. We did not bother to complain seeing how interested the staff seemed from the time we entered the restaurant.
