Russell's Steaks, Chops, and More Ratings and Reviews
This was our first time at Russell's ..
Had the dinner for 2 .. great value. I got the Caesar Salad, and my husband got the chef. My husband upgraded to the 10 oz filet and I had the rack of lamb. Both were cooked to perfection. Came with potato and green beans. Then you got to order dessert which was a full size dessert for each of us. My husband had the banana cream pie and I had the peanut butte pie. Both were delicious and would recommend everything,
The only minor thing is the waiter at the next table asked if the women wanted anchovies on her Caesar sala
d, our waiter did not, and I would have loved to have had one or tow on mine too. Also, on the Chef salad, our waiter never asked if we wanted everything on the salad, the water at the next table did. My husband does not like blue cheese. Maybe our bad for not seeing it listed, but the waiter at the next table did ask.
Overall, great dinner and we will be back
My wife & I went for Valentines day, the food was amazing by far the best steak I've ever had! The restaurant itself was beautiful and the service was top notch, our server's name was Allen & he was great. Very helpful, accommodating, charming and funny. We can't wait to go again & we most certainly will be asking for Allen again!
Outstanding service with a smile. Always there when you would want them to be to serve water or pick up dishes or see if we needed anything. Timely service. Very respectful and helpful when asking choices or suggestions. Food was perfectly timed with appetizers to salads to the main meal and desserts. Food was cooked to perfection. Tables placed so you could talk comfortably with your dinner partner. Cleanliness is impeccable.
Went to Russell's for valentines day dinner the day after valentines day. We were greeted by Russell and escorted to our table. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter and took our drink order right away. We were then given some delicious breads along with a variety of accompaniments. We then ordered our appetizers which included a cypress salad and the escargot. Both were delicious. We then got our entrees which included the filet and also the pistachio crusted rack of lamb. The filet was done perfectly, but the rack of lamb wasn't quite medium rare. With this being said, both entrees were delicious. We finished the meal off with an apple crisp and the Belgium chocolate cake. These also were outstanding. This is a restaurant that we will definitely visit again.
The food, service and atmosphere was certainly a very nice way to spend the evening. Thank you to Russell and his staff for making this a very enjoyable evening.
As a group of 6, we were having a splendid time and thought the food was fantastic. What soured the night was after we finished our desserts, the ladies went to the restroom quickly and while we were away, the 3 men remaining at the table were asked to give up our table to make room for the next reservations. We had not been lingering as we had just finished our meal and thought it was quite rude that the men would be asked to leave when we weren't even present. For spending over $700, the experience was killed by the request to rush us away from our table. Definitely didn't make us feel as if it was a high end experience or that we were important as customers.
I LOVE THE WHOLE SCENARIO THE STAY WAS AWESOME THE FOOD WAS THE MAIN COURSE 🤤🤤WE LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT MY BOYFRIEND NEVER EXPERIENCE NOTHING LIKE IT HE BEEN TELLING ABOUT A LIL VACATION SO I SURPRISE HIM HERE AS AN BAECATION😍 HE FELT LIKE HE WAS IN A WHOLE DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE HE LOVEDDDDD IT SO MUCH WE LOVED IT SO MUCH WE WOULD LIKE TO THANKKK YOU FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE WE LOOK FORWARD TO COMING THERE AGAIN
What a treat! This place is top notch and treats you like royalty. The atmosphere is great and it's beautifully decorated from the gorgeous fish tank in the lobby, the lobby bar, to the cute raised booths.
My husband and I came here for valentine's day (couple days before to avoid the rush) and we did make a reservation a couple weeks in advance. We were greeted at reception by Russell Salvatore himself, and because we were just a little early, were told it would just be a couple minutes before we could be seated. However, we ended up being seated right at our reservation time and were put in a cute booth area that was sort of secluded and romantic. Our server Tim was just lovely, and helped us with any questions we had and made suggestions for us if we weren't sure.
We decided to start with the sausage bread, which we've been told is a must get, as well as the Mussels ala Russell. Both were delicious and the mussel broth was so tasty, we soaked as much of it up as we could with the bread!
For dinner we ordered the dinner for two, which comes with a soup or salad each, an entrée for each from the choices, and dessert. I started with the seafood bisque, which there was a slight upcharge, but worth it, and my husband the salad.
I ordered the lamb chop for dinner, and my husband had the larger filet, which also was an upcharge, but again, worth it. The lamb had a pistachio crust and was delicious and the filet melted in your mouth.
By the time we finished though, we were too full for dessert, but Tim was sweet enough to wrap them to go, a cheesecake and chocolate cake.
Even though it's on the pricier side, they make up for it in ambiance, service and food. We will definitely be back, once we've recovered from eating all the food from this visit!
The service is second to none - be prepared to be pampered. The food was delicious, and with the dinner for two menu was a fantastic value. The wine list is organized by style instead of varietal making it easy to choose a great bottle. Great coffee and dessert included - excellent restaurant for any special occasion
