Russell's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I've been a fan of Russell's but this last dinner left us all a bit disappointed. Charging $54 for a salmon dinner we felt was quite a bit and it just wasn't up to the standard as far as preparation that we've come to enjoy there. Way too much sauce over the top, minimum vegetables that were overcooked, and fat laden potatoes. I won't be in a hurry to go back any time soon! If you order the "special" at Russells, make sure to ask for the price first as we made the mistake in not doing this ourselves!
We frequently choose Russell's for our special occasions. In fact, our daughter chose Russell's for her wedding! The food is always good and very reliable as far as preparation and quality. From appetizers to dessert ... a delicious meal was enjoyed by everyone in our party. Of course, service was top notch as well.
We are a group of business/technology executives who meet three times per year for a serious discussion of business and technology matters. This is the first time we met at Russell's, and it will have been the last, for certain. The noise level was beyond accommodation, such that we plan to meet again, just so that we may discuss all that we were unable to discuss at Russell's. End of story.
First of all outstanding service. Our waiter was knowledgeable, efficient, and entertaining.
My husband had the best tenderloin steak that he has ever eaten. Wonderful halibut with a salsa topping was also very good. We go to Russell's ever time we travel to the Woodinville area. Not to be missed!
My wife and I went to Russell's to celebrate her birthday and they did not disappoint. The food was wonderful and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, had excellent recommendations and was very attentive to all of our needs. I definitely recommend Russell's for special occasions or just when you want to have an excellent meal.
Russell's is one of those restaurants you can just drop in and know you are going to get a good meal. The food is consistently top notch and the wait staff have been there for years, know the patrons, and always make you feel so valued. Russell's is a great place I would highly recommend!
We were a party of four celebrating two birthdays. Although we like Russell's, and this has not been our first visit, we found the ambience very noisy (no noise absorbing interior) and it was hard to have a conversation. While three of us enjoyed an excellent dinner (scallops, filet mignon and double cut pork chop), one of us ordered the chicken breast but got a small piece of chicken that had a bone and looked more like a leg. It was a disappointment.
We enjoy going to Russell's for our date nights. The menu is a perfect size with a nice selection of wines and entre choices. The food is delicious! The wait staff treats everyone like they are special. We love the fact that they are attentive but not hovering and they do not hurry you through your meal.
I love this restaurant. It's important to know if you are planning a quiet evening to ask them if they are having a wedding reception upstairs. That part was totally out of control with people stomping, yelling and DJ talking. Could t even hear the person on the other side of the table. Made for an evening I was not expecting.
Loud! There was a wedding reception upstairs, and you could barely hear your dinner dates speak from across the table. You would think they'd shut the restaurant down for such an occasion. The waitress forgot my order. When I did receive my food, it was drowned in sauce, so much so, that my mashed potatoes completely dissolved. The food tasted okay, but way overpriced, and I've had my fair share of high dollar menus. Won't be back
This was our second lovely meal at Russel's. As the first time, our food was well-prepared and tasty. Both of the kids also enjoyed their food. My duck breast with wild mushroom risotto was excellent. The creme brulee was the stand-out dessert. On both evenings, we've enjoyed Russel's policy on Washington state wines: there's no corkage fee on the first bottle customers bring into the restaurant. We're moving to the area soon, and will be back to Russel's in the future.
We had a great server. She was very nice and helpful. Our issue was that my wife and I’s duck was way over done and the veggies were almost raw. Mine was a stew so the veggies should have been at least a little soft. They crunched as I bit into them. Same with my wife’s. My wife didn’t even eat the duck because it was so bad. There was a different server that came and picked up our plates so we couldn’t talk to our server about it. Then they brought out two wonderful desserts for us since it was our anniversary so we didn’t say anything. But now thinking back I paid almost $200 for three drinks, one appetizer, and two desserts. It was for sure kid friendly because there were two tables with little kids and they were walking all over and loud. I have little kids and I would never let the kids walk around and be loud. It is the parents that need to be on them but if you want a romantic place then this isn’t the place. I did like the décor and the barn idea. I love that. We can now say we did it but I will not be back. Sorry
Food was great. Service was absolutely horrible. Server was not around for the majority of the meal. We had to ask for refills on soda. We finished our wine prior to the main course, never offered more. She came by after our food had arrived, I had to ask my husband if he would like more wine. I ended up finding the hostess to get the bill paid because she disappeared promptly after dropping it off. They need to step up their customer service if they want to compete with the many options out there that offer outstanding service
My husband and I frequent Russell's probably once a month, so we are fairly familiar with them and the menu. The other night we went in for dinner and I ordered the Halibut special. It came out and it was good -- maybe a little overcooked, but I would rather the fish be overcooked than under cooked. However, I was quite surprised when we received the bill and it was $42. Considering I could have ordered the filet for less, it seemed a bit overpriced. Especially considering that it was not cooked as well as it could have been and the portion size was rather small.
It was the group's first time to visit Russell's Restaurant, but it won't be the last! The food was great- the taste was very flavorful, presented well and served in a timely manner. The wait staff was attentive to our party- we didn't have to ask for items; they seemed to be right there asking if we needed anything. I would highly recommend the Lamb chops or Double cut Pork Chops or the Scallops. The desserts were really really good- some of the best Bread pudding in the area.
