Russell's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Russels was hopping on a Friday night the bar was packed but the service was great while we waited for our table. The appetizers were delicious . Our water glasses were kept full and the timing of our wonderful yummy meal was brilliant. It was our daughters birthday and I told by the host they would bring her a birthday dessert on the house but that did not happen. We did order sorbet and they did write a very fancy HAPPY BIRTHDAY , that was sweet.
This was our first visit. It was a Thursday evening around 5:30. It was quite noisy in the bar which is to be expected, for the most part. Then after drinks we were seated for dinner. It was cold and noisy. The food was delicious. Service was adequate but not exemplary. I would recommend for a large group but not an intimate romantic evening.
Great venue for many get togethers. old friends, business meetings, anniversary, let the wedding bells ring, I saw all the people enjoying Russell's while I was there, my occasion was an anniversary and meet with an old friend. Great food, Great wine. Thank you Russell for your personal attention.
My wife and I came to Russell's on 11/07/17. I had picked this location at random to move from the normal restaurant and date night outings we have become accustom to. I have to say, Russell's did not disappoint in any way. To be honest, Russell's changed the way I feel food should taste. My wife had ordered a Halibut dish that is not normally on the menu but was being prepared that day. I had ordered the double-cut pork chop. The pork chop was extremely flavorful including the potatoes and veggies that came with it. We also shared the scallops as our appetizer which both my wife and I have never had and were curious about. They were extremely delicious and have lived up to what others have said scallops should taste like. Lastly, my wife and I each had our own dessert. I had tried crème Brule and my wife had their cheesecake. Both of them were extremely amazing. I have never had crème Brule before but I have seen videos on it before on how it should be made/be once made. It completely blew my mind. Our server, Kristin, was also a delight as well. She was very informative with her knowledge of each dish and extremely courteous to my wife and I. As I said to her, this is definitely the restaurant that my wife and I will continue to come to. I am already planning what dish I should try next!
We had a wonderful birthday celebration for my husband at Russell's. The service and food were outstanding. The one and only complaint we had was the noise level. In addition to the noise level on the main floor, there was an event upstairs; when they moved the tables, it was extremely loud. Given the great ambiance of the restaurant, it is a shame they haven't addressed the noise problem. One of our guests visited for the first time and was quite impressed, EXCEPT that it was so noisy she probably will not return.
Again, terrific food and service!
Went to Russell's for our anniversary. Did not know it existed but I searched for nearby steakhouses and it showed up. Being close to us, I thought I'd give it a chance. The place is pretty cool, an old barn (one of two old barns) converted into a restaurant with a huge beautiful room upstairs (the entire top of the barn) for gatherings. The building is cool, the food was great and the atmosphere was very nice. The barn sits at the edge of an office park within view of I405 with the North Creek just on the other side. They have pictures upstairs of the barns back when this used to be a farm which were pretty cool to look at.
Strongly recommend this place.
The food was ok, but the service was substandard. We had the scallops and a clam chowder for a starter and while the scallops were good the server forgot to bring out my friend's soup until I was almost done with the scallops. I watched her give the same meh level of attention to her other tables.
We ordered the specials; ribeye for me and halibut for her. The ribeye was not seared and the fat was just gooey not crispy at all, very underwhelming. I have had better steak at The Keg.
The halibut on the other hand was delightfully seared. It was a very lovely piece, perfectly cooked, but very under seasoned once you got past that initial top crust.
The one highlight was the drink I ordered. The server had no idea what non alcoholic drinks were offered so I gave her the non specific description of something with grapefruit. The drink that came was delightful. Unfortunately my server never asked me how I liked it, never asked me if I would like another, nothing.
The ambiance throughout this disappointing experience was more like a sports bar with a seahawks game on than a restaurant due to an overly loud wedding party in the semi private dining room. They were so obnoxiously loud that elderly diners near us were wincing in pain at the noise and my friend and I were having to stop talking at frequent intervals because we simply could not hear each other talk even though we were only a few inches from each other. It got so bad that we passed up dessert. I NEVER pass up dessert and coffee, but there was no way that I could hear myself think let alone savor coffee and creme brulee in that environment.
I felt neither appreciated nor cared for as a guest. Russell's reputation is not holding up and we won't be returning. I could be happy with poor service if the food was excellent, but it wasn't . I could also be happy with poor food if the hospitality was there, but it was soulless. I left feeling unfulfilled and sad.
the experience lived up to the reviews I read as I hoped. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Each serving was attractive and tasty. The highest praise I can give is that my partner found everything to be wonderful – and that has never happened before
