Always a favorite! It's our go-to in Bothell and didn't miss a beat through the pandemic. It was just as delicious as we remembered.
We loved the location, the ambiance, and the food.
The issue was with our waiter, Daniel W. What at first seemed childish, resulted in annoyance and distain. Every question we had was met with some patronizing, condescending attempt at humor. It got old fast.
As we left what was a special occasion dinner with my wife and both of our parents, all we could talk about was how irritated we were with Daniel. I will go back, but will not hesitate to request a different waiter if Danial shows up at our table side.
As always, Russell’s delivers. Excellent service, great food. The double cut pork chop is a favorite, and the mussel appetizer was delicious.
Great Food. Awesome Service. A Great Experience EVERY Time.
We have been to Russell’s several times, but this was our first time with the whole family (our kids are high school/college aged), and we had the most enjoyable family dinner. It was a nice opportunity to slow down and talk over a very pleasant dinner, and a good change of pace over the usual dinner spots as we start the busy holiday season. The food was delicious as always and the atmosphere and service were perfect. The family agreed that the teriyaki beef appetizer was amazing and everyone loved his/her entree (duck, scallops, steak, and Alfredo pasta). The bread pudding is always fantastic.
Party of 5 w reservation. I’m a regular customer for personal And business dinners, small and large. Always superb service and quality of food and experience. ALWAYS.
This is a classic, fine dining restaurant tucked away in an office park. You would have to know it is there to find it; but it is worth seeking out. We had delicious beef carpaccio, luscious mussels, duck breast and sea scallops. The portions were actually quite generous (especially the mussels!) Very nice wine list as well with a nice 'by the glass' selection. We were too full to try one of the desserts.
Food was exquisite, as always!
Always good food, service and ambiance at Russell's.
Good food, good service, but not memorable.
Always superb! Large room separated into cozy dining areas, excellent service and the food? No superlatives can do it justice. Variety of dishes, something for every taste. The only drawback was the wedding reception upstairs, very loud dancing. Still worth it
Russell’s consistently provides excellent service to compliment the outstanding dishes/menu. A true gem of a restaurant.
Really loud and sounded like elephants above us!
nice people. food was like eating at a banquet dinner with chicken or duck options. Way overpriced for quality.
As always, an amazing meal! I had the seared scallops, and they were cooked perfectly, and presented beautifully.
Great service (as always!) and amazing food!
Amazing experience - we we’re celebrating a birthday and had a wonderful time that was enhanced by the service and incredible food. Steaks and pasta were perfection. Scallops and mushroom apps were delicious. This was our first dining experience and can’t wait to come back.
I dined at Russell's Restaurant on 11/12/21. Their description on Open Table says that they offer indoor seating at 50% capacity, a limited number of seated diners, and that they have extra space between tables. None of this is the case. This may have been written prior to the availability of vaccines. If that is the case, this description needs to be updated. My experience was that the restaurant was extremely crowded, overcrowded. Tables were two to three feet apart. There have been no tables remove to create distancing. I was extremely close to other diners. The minute people are seated, they are not wearing masks, so the mandate to wear the mask while entering and while walking around is pointless. The restaurant also claims they are in Snohomish County and therefore do not need to require proof of vaccination to dine there. Apparently that's only for King County. I felt very uncomfortable in that setting. I would prefer to know what a restaurant is really doing and if they say they are taking precautions, I'd like to see those precautions.
Food and service were great! We ate New York Strip and Fettuccine Prawn. Both were very delicious.
Fantastic service! My wife’s shrimp fettuccine was the best she ever had. Definitely worth dining here for special occasions.
Excellent food and service
Amazing food, and fabulous service!
Extremely loud. Tables very close together. Food very good but steak was overcooked so we sent it back and they redid it. Overall a good experience but could use some tweaks.
First time back since the beginning of Covid. Of course things have changed everywhere. We arrived early to enjoy the bar and some good wine and appetizers. The bar is even smaller than it was before, the bar stools at the bar remain but all other tables and chairs have been removed except a love seat and 2 chair seating group with a coffee table. We were lucky enough o get that since there were 4 of us and sitting at a bar would have been difficult to visit. As the Friday evening progressed others started filtering in to bat of course looking for seating, which there wasn't but lots of space for probably an additional 4-5 tables with chairs. We then were seated in the dining room which was full and busy since it was Friday night. It seems like there were plenty of restaurant help. We were seated and ordered an amazing bottle of wine to go with our dinner we had ordered. The wine came and was poured and was finished before we received our dinners unfortunately. It was close to an hour I think before our dinner was served. I did ask our server at one point if everything was ok. He said yes. We did order another less expensive bottle of wine to go with our dinner then. Anyway, I love Russell's and was happy to be back. We will be back and hope life will be normal then.
Love Russell’s, the food & wait staff. Always enjoy eating here.
Excellent meal, great drinks, and wonderful staff. Made our sun feel special about his birthday. Would always recommend Russell’s. A hidden gem in Bothell.
We went to dinner at 6:45 on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy and very noisy. It was difficult to converse with my dinner partner. The service was slow and there were several mistakes - the wait staff was friendly though rushed. It seemed like they were suffering from staff shortages just as other restaurants are. We ordered the chicken dish and the pork chop. The pork chop was worth returning to the restaurant - it was amazing. The chicken was overpowered by too much rosemary. We love this restaurant and look forward to it getting back to usual level of quality.
My absolute favorite place to go - no traffic to get there, no ugly downtown, GREAT food, reasonable corkage fee (I always take my own bottle), the BEST filet in the Seattle area.
Great place for a romantic dinner or a fun dinner with friends.
Always a #1 recommend!!
The food and service were, as usual, outstanding. But I quote from Russell's OpenTable listing: "We are...offering...indoor seating at 50% capacity", and "Physical Distancing: Limited number of seated diners...Distancing maintained in common areas...Extra space between tables". None of this was true, and I don't believe I saw anywhere in the listing that stated "except for Saturdays...". All the tables in the dining rooms were of exactly the same number and spacing as my last visit a few years ago - and the place (on Sat - 10/30/21) was packed (including shoulder-to-shoulder in the bar). The ownership needs to state what its true policies are, and not publish statements contrary to reality. The prospect of well-spaced tables/seating figured prominently into my decision to make the reservation in the first place, so I was very disappointed to find otherwise. In fact, I found the lack of proper spacing of tables to be irresponsible. Overall I still recommend Russell's for its very fine food and drink offerings, and its always-outstanding and very personal service (no exception on this visit), but until the pandemic has been judged to have run its course (i.e. "Re" number well below "1.0" for several consecutive months, tracked by WA State DOH), I will not be returning there.
The food and service were outstanding as usual, but a little disappointed in the amount of food we got this time. We've dined with Russell's many times but it seems that every time we go there is less and less food on tht plate. I barely had any risotto with my duck; it was like two small spoonfuls. For how much we are paying that was a bit disappointing. We will definitely come back but hope that portion sizes can be a little more generous.
Great dining experience and our server was excellent!
This was an unusually poor experience at Russell's. I always enjoy the scallops, but last night they were overdone and I was quite disappointed. My dessert was also not quality. I had a crisp, which ended up to be cooked pears with raw oats and cinnamon on top - not baked. My son commented that it was obvious that the cheesecake had just come out of the freezer, as it was almost frozen on the inside. The prices have gone up considerably since we were there last and to spend this kind of money and have the dinner not be up to snuff was truly disappointing. I had considered sending both my dinner and definitely the dessert back, but it was a special occasion for my son and I didn't want to create an uncomfortable situation. I will have to think twice before I go back.
First time there and was very impressed. Everything was perfect. Will be back.
The food and service were great. However there was no distancing between tables which made us uncomfortable and they have an event space above the restaurant so half way through our dinner all we could hear were the speakers from the wedding reception above us and loud stomping as people danced. Not a relaxing or romantic atmosphere.
Visited for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Apparently Covid is over. They were very busy but staffed adequately. One of our favorite servers took care of our needs and the bus person did a great job keeping our table cleared as necessary. The food, as always, was outstanding. We did celebrate with a nice bottle of champagne. This put our bill a little higher than usual, but hey it was our 50th. We have been visiting Russell's since they opened. The food and service has been maintained over the years. One of our go-to places. A great place for a special dinner, out-of-town guests (show off PNW cuisine), and date-night. I marked that the noise level was very high. That does occur from time to time. Tonight was because (1) the restaurant was very busy and the acoustics are the best, and (2) there was a wedding reception going on upstairs...again the acoustics are not the best. We are aware of this small "bump in the road" and still come back for the food and the service. Now you know.
First time ever going, our server was SO kind. This gentlemen loved to joke with us and make us all laugh. Everything we ate was amazing. We will definitely be back.
We went to Russell’s for the first time for my husbands birthday and loved it! Our waitress was fantastic and even took us upstairs to show us around and took some photos for us. The food and wine were excellent! Highly recommend!
Russell's is a genuine treat. Food and service are top notch always. A bit pricey, but much better than other top end restaurants AND with Russell's, you get service that will laugh with you as much as you engage with them. Russell's is our go-to restaurant for special occasions.
Always a great time in the bar with Kella.
