Located just minutes from the Woodinville Wineries, Russell’s Dining Room has a wonderful partnership with a variety of local wineries. Russell himself is known by many in the community as a prominent supporter of local businesses, keeping with his dedication to the Pacific Northwest.
Russell’s Dining Room… a food lover’s delight, a winemaker’s favorite and a warm, friendly setting.
We went here on a recent evening. The building is full of character and the service was incredibly attentive, but the food was lackluster (except the crab cakes). In particular, both the main dishes (salmon and fettuccine) lacked sauces to make them great. For those high prices, I expect greatness. We will not be back.
We had a nice time, a bit pricey for what it was but food was tasty. Restaurant was a bit loud and service was a bit slow. Portions were small and side vegetables were not very good. Crab cakes were nice and lamb was good. My halibut was over cooked.
Always Perfect. Russell’s is our go to for date night, also a good lunch spot.
Reason for the event - Our son and family are moving out of state and we wanted to treat them to a fine dining meal at your lovely Barn Restaurant location.
First off we arrived early for our reservation (easily made through OpenTable) & so headed to the bar to enjoy a libation. That being said..the drinks are delicious, esp (Aviation) 👍 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Appetizers - Teriyaki Steak bites & Seared Mushrooms. 1 ran late and had to be asked for 2x arriving 'after' we all were 1/2 way (or) done with the meal. 👎🌟🌟 But still delicious, no compensation.
Dinner was awesome! Salmon, Scallops, Filet Minion, Lamb and Duck, Risotto, Grilled Vegies all prepared perfectly! Tender, Juicy, Flavorful! 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Special Attention - Great lengths were taken to prepare some foods (as requested) without dairy. Perfect. Even the table bread!
Dessert - We didn't order much because we were so full but did enjoy the Creme Brulè 👍🌟🌟🌟 & two hot Totti's (pass tho, too watery!)👎🌟
Waitstaff, Cleanliness & Ambiance - Excellent. Very! Thank you!
Recommendations - Absolutely! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Note: However a bit salty for my taste, I'm certain if you ask, that can be taken care of.
The food is very good, excellent selection, great service!
Russell's is one of our favorite restaurants to go to, I've loved every meal I've ever gotten there!
Russell's continues to be a hidden gem in the Bothell/Woodinville area. The service was out of this world amazing and the food was top notch, as usual.
The only sour note I had on our experience was a wedding in the barn upstairs caused a lot of noise - kids running & jumping, jenga wood squares falling, etc.
We'll always be back.
Russell’s is always an outstanding experience. We celebrate most of our family and friends’ special occasions there.
We were greeted and seated with efficiency and courtesy; James, our server, was friendly and helpful; our food was excellent; our bill was reasonable. A great birthday experience - we hope to be back to Russell's on occasion.
Wonderful as always! Food and service is always the best.
We celebrate most of our birthdays and anniversaries at Russell's Restaurant and always enjoy our time here. The food is to die for good and the service is always outstanding. The New York Steak is my favorite and never disappoints. I appreciate their attention to food sensitivities/allergies and I feel safe eating here. All the food is fresh and I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Everything is a perfect 10!
We had been in the area for many years but never before tried Russels. We were very excited to celebrate our anniversary at a new place. There was something about the ambiance that was not appealing to me. Unfortunately, i can’t put my finger on it. The staff was professional and attentive but not overly friendly. The food was good and prepared/presented well. Perhaps my expectations were of a different kind of place. It seems to want to be fancy dining but the atmosphere and facility are not to they level.
I’ll give it another try sometime.
Excellent service and delicious meal from the crab cakes appetizer to both my husband and I’s dinner. Service was perfection and so was the wine.
They couldn't seem to find our reservations. We waited about 20 minutes for a table while others who came after us got seated. Service was slow starting, and never really got better ... close to an hour for the food, dinner took close to two hours.
I know I have a hearing problem, but even with my hearing aides, I could not hear the waitress. Not really her fault but I had to keep asking my wife what was said. I knew ahead of time, this restaurant was a difficult place for hearing, and I asked to be away from the bar. This was done and I was seated about the middle of the facility. But this place is still too loud, too much ambient noise!
By the way, the food was quite good, but the experience was difficult to enjoy.
The food and service was tremendous. A little loud for a table of six which made it hard to hear all conversations. The staff was very accommodating.
Lovely evening. Dan treated us royally, as did the helper. Great experience and delicious filet mignonette and rack of lamb.
Scallops were AMAZING! Mom order the white bean dish but it came with pinto beans instead... it was returned for a different dish. Food is amazing!
Dinner was delicious, as tasty as we've been hearing about. Service was phenomenal as well. The only down side was the wedding going on upstairs was noisy and took away from the feel and experience unfortunately.
Loved the appetizers. My steak was more medium than medium rare, but tender enough that I didn’t mind.
While the food was good and the service friendly, it seemed that the prices were markedly higher than one would find in other similar establishments. Many of the entree's were in excess of $40 where other places charge under $35. The drinks were also quite expensive - a shot of Japanese whiskey was listed for between $18 and $22. An entire bottle of the $18 variety sells for $37 at Total Wines. That seems like a top-shelf price for a decidedly non-top-shelf product...
We love Russels - the food is alway first class. Service is amazing. But the noise level is terrible. This night they were having a wedding upstairs and we were getting the introduction of couple. It was worse than normal.
We love coming to Russell’s and this time was no exception. Delicious halibut and the desserts never disappoint.
Wonderful meal for our guests from Ohio. Food exceptional and server, Dan, fabulous!
What a treat to find this place!
Exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to go back!!
Appetizers were delicious, and surprisingly large.
Salad was fresh and tasty.
Main course was excellent even as leftovers the next day.
Off day on timing and service, still fabulous food.
Always a consistently good food, and service. Staff bring their personalities to work and are enjoyable. Great place in a strange location, just goes to show... you don't have to have the prime location if you nail the rest.
One of my favorite spots. Food & service is always amazing. Love this place!
We like Russell's in Bothell very much, the ambiance and the food. We really are always getting spoiled by Dan (the waiter) who is so much fun and very professional. He alone is worth a visit.
Our carrots were raw otherwise everything was great.
The Restaurant was very loud but, as usual, great food.
That was the best halibut I have ever had! If you are tired of mediocre restaurants try Russell's, you won't be disappointed!
A hidden gem. Very well kept converted barn in an area you would least expect. Rustic yet elegant dining areas, excellent service and superb food. Our new favorite place. Also, save room for dessert because they are to die for! Highly recommend the bread pudding.
We arrived only to be greeted by Russel himself who proceeded to give us all one of his cookbooks, signed them and took pictures with all four of us. We were then seated to have wonderful appetizers..would highly recommend the crab cakes and scallops! Had the spinach and house salad which were great as well. I just don't know what to say about the bread that is a butter focacia that is addictive. Dinner was wonderful and perfectly cooked. Fresh Halibut...yum. Dessert was over the top. Great wine list. We had a 2015 Obilesco that was fantastic. Great experience, would highly recommend.
Celebrating 40 years in the NW!
This restaurant is always spot on for food and service and that’s why we frequent it. The food is delicious and service is always friendly and helpful. One of our favorite places to go!
Excellent food and service. We got the early on a Friday, by the time we left around Eight all tables and the bar were full.
With the low ceilings combined with adult beverages it was loud.
But not so much that we wouldn’t go back.
The food was DELICIOUS, the dressing on the spinach salad was wonderful, not heavy just nice light flavor. Salmon was sooooo good!!!! We liked it so much going back tonight. With all the tables full noise level was high but service was great. Definitely recommend. Nice find in the middle of no where
We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Relaxed atmosphere, quiet. Easy to have a conversation. Service is great and of course the food is delicious.
