Russell's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We were impressed on our first, but definitely not last, visit to Russell's. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. We were a little skeptical driving there since it's in the middle of business parks, but once we arrived we quickly forgot the drive as we were immersed in the restaurant's ambiance. The wine and liquor selections were great and the bar was a cozy spot to wait for our table (we arrived early). Our server and bidder were extremely friendly and attentive, not to mention took very good care to address our food allergies. We started by sharing the scallop appetizer (4), which was hot with a nice seer and nicely dressed on a bed of arugula. Then I had the double pork chop grilled to a perfect medium. I was a little jealous of my husband's NY strip however. Luckily he gave me a bite! We finished with creek brûlée that the hubs said was the best he's ever had. We plan to come back soon and to bring friends!
Dinner started with a greeting from the sweetest, happiest server - ever! It continued with the yummiest scallop appetizer and a beet and arugala salad. My date had wonderful-grilled king salmon and I had the most amazing and tasty breast of duck. Overall, dinner was just perfect including the food and the service. We will return soon.
The menu at Russell's is excellent, with several wonderful dishes available for most every palate. The service was attentive, friendly, and ready to please. The noise level, however, was stifling. We were two couples sitting at a four-top table, and it was impossible to talk with the person directly across the table. As I looked around, I could see people raising their voices to communicate with the table, increasing the noise for all of us. Ceiling sound protection? Table spacing? Expansion? It's hard to tell what might work to make going to Russell's enjoyable from that perspective.
It had been a while since we ate at Russell's. Little has changed, which is good. It gets a bit noisy sometimes, but with the friendly staff and great food, who cares? Our party of four had a great time. I really liked the fettuccini with prawns. The best I've had for a while! Reservations via Open Table recommended.
I thought overall the restaurant and food was amazing. The only thing that could have been better is our table wasn’t very private. We practically sat in a walkway. I thought I would have gotten a better table per the prices and money we spent. Plus, I made a reservation on Open Table at an open time. Next time I will call in for a reservation so I can be sure to get a more private table.
The service was a bit too slow at times - 2 hours from being seated to leaving. With two teenagers, that was a little too long for them. My only complaint, as the food was excellent, is the pricing. $10 for a cosmopolitan and $10 for a Martini rouge is just really too much. There was a lamb on the menu for $49. For the Bothell/Snohomomish crowd, that is really too steep.
Friendly staff, excellent food and wine list. We went for Christmas Eve dinner, for a special evening out. Our server was friendly enough, but didn’t seem to be in the mood to be working. She forgot our appetizer order, didn’t check back to see how everything was, just not into it.
Everything was fabulous overall. Service was professional and very friendly. Food was superb! Wines-by-the-glass are a touch overpriced for quality of offerings. A few menu items seem overpriced. Overall an excellent experience.
On a cold winter evening I was surprised that the fireplaces were not on, though interior temps were very comfortable. When we arrived after dark the parking lot lights were not on and it was VERY dark. The staff said they were on a timer which was set too late for this time of year.
I normally don’t write reviews but the disappointment in this restaurant still is on my mind days later. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a nice dinner as his purchased his first home and got the keys. I put In the notes that I wanted a special dessert for him to celebrate. I called on the way to the restaurant to reconfirm about the dessert. Once we arrived at the restaurant he went to the bathroom and I re-confirmed on the dessert. We got our steaks (medium rare) and they were so over cooked we hardly touched them. After our table was cleared the waitress brought a dessert menu.... not what I asked for when I brought it up 3 different times. I just asked to bring out the dessert right after dinner. He was so disappointed in the steak being over cooked that he told the server not to worry about bringing a dessert menu. She then gave us the bill. Very disappointed a special night for him was completely changed by this.
Have been here multiple times and we love coming here. We enjoy the food and drinks. Only criticism is when there is a party upstairs and there is dancing, it sounds like people are clogging overhead. It's hard to have a conversation when there is dancing upstairs.
Another amazing dinner at Russell's! Had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. One of our guests had the Chilean Sea Bass and said it was delicious. Husbands had the New York and Filet, always cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Rebecca made the evening and meal even more enjoyable. Russell's is always our go to place where we know the food and atmosphere will be very enjoyable.
We split the salad greens which made for a rather small serving. Our fillets were excellent, cooked to order with a Cabernet sauce. Our waiter recommended a reasonably priced Cabernet by Barrage which was excellent. Wonderful service. We return to Russell’s each time we are in the area.
Russels was hopping on a Friday night the bar was packed but the service was great while we waited for our table. The appetizers were delicious . Our water glasses were kept full and the timing of our wonderful yummy meal was brilliant. It was our daughters birthday and I told by the host they would bring her a birthday dessert on the house but that did not happen. We did order sorbet and they did write a very fancy HAPPY BIRTHDAY , that was sweet.
This was our first visit. It was a Thursday evening around 5:30. It was quite noisy in the bar which is to be expected, for the most part. Then after drinks we were seated for dinner. It was cold and noisy. The food was delicious. Service was adequate but not exemplary. I would recommend for a large group but not an intimate romantic evening.
