Rusconi's American Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
We had a great experience except for the wait when we had a reservation. I do not believe this was the fault of the restaurant but clients who refused to leave even after paying their bill. The staff was very apologetic and offered us a free appetizer. The food was excellent and we will be returning.
Rusconi's is good for foodies. The menu is very interesting and diverse. One member of our four person good is a very plain eater. We looked at the menu on line before we booked our table and we were happy to see one plain menu item. A hamburger. Problem solved, so we booked. When we got our menus, the hamburger was on it. The bad news, the kitchen was out of hamburger. How can that be?? Instant disaster. Also, the menu states that the chicken breast has limited availability. What is that? I would not go back.
This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. We didn't even know it was tucked away in the retail strip center, but will be going back for sure. The filet special was ok, but the steamed mussels were outstanding. The wine spacial for the night was also very good. I can't recall his name, but the waiter was well trained and friendly. The caramel bread pudding was decadent and worth the calories...
We were a party of three and we all agreed 100 percent that Rusconi's was a FIND. There wasn't one thing that we found that wasn't wonderful. Ambience is great, warm, inviting and friendly. A nice middle-class crowd who found no need to shout at each other or cause a lot of noise. The food, and we all had something different, was extraordinarily good and even the water tasted better than any I have had in some time. How can that be? The wait staff were simply wonderful, friendly and very interesting. This is on our list of favs and we plan to go back and back and back!! And, of course, we are all singing its praises to our friends. Not such a great idea as we wouldn't want to change anything that is perfect as is!!
Good food, felt rushed by waiters despite the fact it is an expensive restaurant in which one does not wish to be hurried through. Very noisy and difficult to converse with guests (and I had asked for a quieter table). They took us to a table in the center of the room after saying they were taking us to a quieter table. Guess there aren’t in actuality any quiet tables.
Chef and staff! We feel absolutely honored and fortunate to be able to experience in this restaurant !!!

This restaurant was a pleasant and enjoyable surprise! After seeing the number of positive reviews and reading what seem to be a very interesting and appealing menu, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We enjoy the dining scene in the Phoenix area and we’re looking to branch out to a new restaurant and this turned out to be an excellent decision! The food was excellent and the service outstanding... we will be returning many times to come! And the dark chocolate bread putting was out of this world!!!!
Food and service are always outstanding. The goat cheese & peach fondue was worth driving or flying from far away.... it was exceptional; we brought guests from San Francisco, Aspen, Denver , Madrid, Spain just for that. However it has been replaced by a garlic/artichoke fondue which just doesn't hit the mark.... heavy garlic, bland taste - very disappointing.
The short ribs are great, the lamb- superb, the scallops are the best anywhere. Everything on the menu is wonderful.
