Rusconi's American Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
This was a real surprise, mainly because I drive past this shopping center all the time. You would never know such a gem was next to Panda Express.
Great food locally grown so it was really fresh. The staff could not have been nicer. We will definitely return soon.
Rusconi’s always rises to the occasion-their food choices are nicely varied and always very tasty! Service has been top-notch; our waiter this time was Brian-couldn’t ask for a more amiable server! He gave suggestions, chatted with the five of us at the table and never rushed us.
All in all....one of the nicest places for a delicious meal!
Rusconi's is one of my favorite restaurants in Phoenix. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the serving team is awesome. I have never been disappointed at this restaurant. I have recommended it to several friends, and they are all fans now too.
We dined at Rusconi's on 12/1/2017. The food overall was very good but our server, Norbert, was absolutely outstanding!! He should be cloned and hired by every restaurant in Phoenix. He was very attentive, had great knowledge of the menu and wine list (which has a lot of choices), and really added to our overall dining experience. We had the 2 special appetizers, one was a crab and shrimp cake, which was very flavorful with lots of seafood and a small amount of filler; the other was a fried slice of tomato topped with birrata. The birrata was very good but the tomato slice was too thick and had little flavor. Our entrees were salmon with a berry glaze and mussels in a chardonnay sauce. Both were delicious. We will definitely return and will try to get Norbert as our server. Also, Rusconi's has a great Happy Hour.
Table was ready at our reservation time and we were promptly seated by a friendly host. The menu was interesting and sounded delicious and it was tough to decide! Everything brought to our party was amazing... well executed and very tasty... from the appetizer through the dessert. We’ll definitely be back!
Friends from Europe located this place and wanted to treat me for being their host while in the Phoenix area. It's amazing that it took people from Europe to bring me, a local, here to this wonderful spot. I especially loved the fact that the moment we entered the restaurant the greetings were professional, heartfelt and infectious. Our Server, Craig P, has to rank as THE BEST SERVER OF ALL TIME - barring none. He was an amazing individual who walked us through the extensive menu and added keen insights into each item. He was personable, charming, professional and a wonderful person. My Swedish friends fell in love with him and bewailed the fact that such amazing surface cannot be found, for the most part, in their native Stockholm. I cannot rave enough about Craig and indeed the entire experience at Rusconi's American Kitchen. This is my new "go-to" spot in The Valley of the Sun! What a gem of a find!!! Thank you Staff at Rusconi's!!!
After cyberstalking this restaurant I️ made a reservation for our trip to Phoenix and it did not live up to the hype—I️t SURPASSED it! Holy wow!
We arrived a bit early, so we had cocktails at the bar. The bartender was super friendly, skilled, and made the most delicious drinks. I️ got their play on a Manhattan made with Maker’s and my husband got a Hendricks gin and St Germaine cocktail with rosemary that was perfectly herbaceous and refreshing.
Then, our server, Hannah, was delightful and knowledgeable. She guided us through the menu and wine selection perfectly to our taste, as well as my gluten allergy. Attentive, yet not intrusive, we’d so be her regulars if we lived in the area.
Now the food. I shouldn’t love food this much, but when it is art, it’s justified, right? We enjoyed the short rib starter (I️ die), followed by a salad featuring a 3/4 inch slice of tomato topped with a mozzarella-like cheese, a balsamic drizzle (I️ think), a pesto, and volcanic sea salt, topped with a tomato sorbet, and I️ think I’m missing some things! Did you read that? A tomato sorbet, y’all! I️ didn’t describe that nearly as amazing as she did or as it tasted.
I️ ordered some of the best scallops I’ve ever eaten, and my husband enjoyed the buffalo sirloin, which was perfectly cooked medium-rare. We shared roasted brussels sprouts with smoked bacon and a creamy risotto with a bit of a kick. We split a maple creme brûlée and coffee to wrap this experience up with a pretty bow.
Our brussels were delayed just a moment because Chef did not think they had the right color on them, and he wanted to perfect them. We then noticed he was not in the kitchen, rather he was expediting every single dish, ensuring its accuracy. Who knows the menu better than the one who created It?
And if all of this isn’t enough to simply fall in love with this restaurant, they called the next day to thank us for coming in!
Whenever we come to Phoenix area we make a point of eating at Rusconis. This is an excellent restaurant with fabulous service and absolutely delicious food....and wonderful wine list and cocktails!! .no matter when we have dined here it is consistently THE BEST.
I wish we could go once a week!!!!
There is pride of ownership here and attention to detail beyond what is normally seen
We celebrated a birthday at Rusconi's for dinner. The food was great, the wine list was generous and not overpriced. Our waiter, Craig, was very attentive and knowledgeable and also helped us with choosing a wine. He was aware from the Open Table reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and made sure to tell us that there would be a fabulous chocolate bread pudding for the birthday boy.
We love this place! The food is simply outstanding. This was our third visit in two months and we live in NW Glendale. Took our California cousins and they were impressed. The staff is very friendly and they all thanked us for coming as we exited the restaurant. The only downside is that it is small and you sit very close to other patrons. Noise level isn’t conducive to conversation. But the food is so delicious you can overlook those things. It is our new ‘go to’ restaurant for celebrations and company.
