Everything was delicious!! The service by Austin was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and inviting!! That you to Reagan for calling this morning to follow up!! We love the restaurant and we are extremely satisfied every time we have dined there!!
We had the cheese board. The grilled bread had a very strong propane gas taste and smell! Our cocktails were very weak! Alcohol is an ingredient and should be tasted.
We went to Rusconi's for Restaurant Week. The reviews were good, and we wanted to try a new place. We live in the Camelback Corridor where excellent restaurants are plentiful, so it's hard to venture out. I felt a good vibe as we entered and it smelled good. The staff was very friendly and the mood in the restaurant was lively. We ordered cocktails to start--they were really good. I ordered a bottle of Alexander Valley red blend to have with our food, it was excellent. My husband ordered the scallops for his entree and the shrimp and grits for an appetizer, and I ordered the baby field green salad and salmon as my entree. All of the food was really good....however, my food wasn't hot--it was barely warm. Neither was my husband's. I don't like cold food. Period. In fact, one of the potatoes with on my plate was cold. I think they make them up ahead and time and then heat them as they are assembling the entree. It tasted wonderful, so we didn't send it back, but we were disappointed. Our bill was $180 plus gratuity, so we expected better. Bottom line--I doubt we will go back.
One of the best meals and experience we have had in a while! Everything was fantastic 💕💕💕
Rusconi’s NEVER disappoints. Great value in Restaurant week specials. Truly a Phoenix gem.
Restaurant week!! Nice menu. Delicious food. Good service from Kristin. Love Rusconi ! Consistency in good service & great food.
Best Salmon in the Phoenix/Scottsdale Valley…exceptional wait staff
We enjoyed restaurant week, but every dining experience here is 5+ stars. This food is INCREDIBLE, service on point and value is awesome!! RUN, don’t walk to Rusconi’s and enjoy the BEST of the best!
We went to Rusconis last night for Restaurant Week. I selected it because we had never been and the menu looked good. What a find- this was the best dining experience we have had in a very long time- maybe ever! The food was absolutely wonderful and even the presentation of each dish was flawless. The Chef was out in front of the kitchen approving all of the dishes and finishing/garnishing each one. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. This was a 5star dining experience in a casual dining environment. I highly recommend dining at Rusconi’s American Kitchen!!
We visited during restaurant week after noticing that Rusconi's menu was one of the most creative in the area. We'd previously been aware of this chef from various gourmet food festivals and wondered why it took us so long to give it a try. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and thought the value, at $44/person for 3 courses, was great. The food was delicious! Silky smooth mushroom soup with a hint of truffle, perfectly cooked duck breast and seared scallops, and deserts that hit the right balance of sweetness without going overboard. Our waiter, Austin, was pleasant and efficient, and our entrees were delivered by Chef Michael himself. Rusconi's is going on our short list of favorites!
Best brunch ever. Rusconi's has the best brunch menu around! The dishes are fresh, unusual and beyond delicious. Expect the unexpected! You won't be disappointed!
Enjoyed a delicious three course dinner as part of restaurant week. Had a wonderful table outside, which is quieter and allows easier conversation. All the food here is incredible. This time entrees included the ahi, duck breast, and beef tenderloin, everyone was thrilled. Don't forget to save room for dessert, bread pudding and chocolate creme brulee were absolute highlights.
What a find! We always pick a new restaurant for restaurant week and this did not disappoint!
Felix was our waiter and was very informative and lots of fun. The food and drinks were amazing. Important to us is always the noise level. This was in the acceptable levels, meaning we could hear each other talking and didn’t have to speak loudly, even though it was full.
Guys had the duck and I had the beef medallions, both were cooked perfectly. Even the cappuccino after dinner was a really good blend.
We will definitely come back.
The food and service are terrific with a great range of menu options.
I just love an evening out at Rusconi's! The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The service is always friendly and welcoming. I am a repeat customer and Rusconi's has become my favorite restaurant!
We asked for a table near the back or where we could sit next to each other and that is just what we got!
The food was delicious and beautiful. The restaurant is lovely and the waiters are wonderful. Whats not to love?
Michael and his culinary team continue to do extraordinary things with farm to table food! Creative, yummy and interesting. Kuddos to the service team that even with the challenges we all face with staffing... this team has the right attitude. Great wine selection. Fantastic arugula, peach salad, best short ribs. Michael is a top chef and clearly a great leader.
Such good food and service!!! Get the chocolate bread pudding!!
We visited for restaurant week and the experience was sub par at best. My first tip is if they don’t have a seat inside don’t bother, their “patio” is a 20x15 space that they stuffed three tables into, along with some extra chairs that they’re storing out there and you have to jump over them to get inside to use the bathroom. No attention to detail in the dining experience to the patrons who get exiled to the overflow space. No condiments, candles on the table, certainly no fans. But you do get the traffic from the Panda Express next door and a gorgeous view of all the cars in the parking lot you’re basically sitting in and you do get the added bonus of getting eaten alive by mosquitos. We ordered off the restaurant week menu and our app should have included shrimp and sausage but we didn’t get the sausage in our dish. (No discount for that mistake) The main course was ok but nothing special, we just got our dessert to go bc I’d rather eat cheesecake *cough cough* oh sorry a diesel truck just pulled out of his parking spot 25 ft away and I caught a plume of smoke. Where was I…..oh I’d rather eat cheese in my car then in this parking lot. Horrible dining experience, food was just ok and the bill was $135. Def not worth it. Don’t stuff customers in horrible dining experience so you can squeeze more money out if people. If you can’t build a nice patio that’s an extension of your restaurant don’t do it at all.
Great service from Austin and a very interesting menu for Restaurant Week. We did comment to each other that some of the food was light on salt and pepper, but we enjoyed everything.
We’ll be back.
We had appetizers, entrees and dessert. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Overall great dinning experience.
Rusconi a favorite of ours, delicious always, staff very professional, lovely environment.
Michael and Nancy very engaging making there guest feel welcome and special.
5+ Stars always.
We enjoyed everything from the service to the drinks and delicious food. Will always return.
Food was spectacular. Servers are proud of the food they serve. Goat cheese is prevalent FYI so if you don’t like it read carefully.
We have been patronizing Rusconi’s four or five times a year since it opened. Until the last year or so, one of the defining features was the professionalism of the servers. Another was the seasonal nature of the menu. The chef would frequently appear in the dining room and make rounds on the diners. We were greeted warmly at the door.
During the shutdown, we continued to order for dining at home, trying to do our part to keep Rusconi’s in operation.
The last three times we have gone, tonight being the very last, the hostesses have been unwelcoming, the servers have been lackadaisical, inattentive and clearly pushing us out the door even though at least a third of the tables were empty when we departed. The menu has been exactly the same for the past year.
This evening, even though only 1/4 of the tables were occupied when we arrived, we were led to a table at the kitchen door, which we politely declined. The hostess was clearly annoyed and brusquely led us to a table directly next to the restrooms. Without a word, she dropped the menus on the table and walked away. I checked OpenTable to see if the restaurant was fully booked. It wasn’t. There were open times slots throughout the evening.
Other small restaurant owners in Scottsdale, PV and the Biltmore-Camelback East area are providing a much more enjoyable evening, even thanking us repeatedly for our patronage, such as T Cooks earlier this week and Elements this past weekend.
So we won’t be back to Rusconi’s. It should be about more than reasonably good food, and Rusconi’s has sadly devolved into an unpleasant experience. By the look of things when we left, Rusconi’s is surviving on alcohol sales at the bar, which may be why those patrons are missing the problems here.
We wish the owners all the best.
We always love going to Rusconi's! Only issue I've ever had, and it's still the case, is that some of the tables are too close together. You can't have an intimate conversation and/or you're too privy to the person next to you's conversation. Great staff, and excellent food!
Food and service was excellent. Definitely a great a place for some good looking and tasting meals.
Excellent food, chicken dish was the the best and only $25.
Fritz was our waiter and made our brunch feel really special. Although I have been going to Rusconi's for many years I had never been there for brunch. I had the best eggs Benedict I have had in years and my friend had the French toast that she said was by for the best she had ever had, anywhere!
whenever we have reservations at Rusconi's we look forward to a perfect dinner. Everything is consistently perfect. We always look forward to our next dinner at Rusconi's.
We had been to Rusconi's a long time ago before COVID and I remember this mouth watering salmon salad I had. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the fresh veggies and green beans had the perfect texture and taste, it all just went so well together I couldn't wait to go back to have it again. We were going to be in the area last night so I made a reservation. Although the salmon salad was not on the menu this time they did have a grilled salmon entree. I was NOT disappointed. It was again cooked to perfection and had this blackberry glaze on it paired with fingerling potatoes, carrot, and brussel sprouts. Hands down delish! My husband tried the grilled beef tenderloin medallions and the look on his face when he took the first bite I knew I had to get in there and try a bit too! The medallions were cooked to medium (that's how he ordered it) and the reduction was so amazing! And I can't forget the mac-n-cheese the medallions were so elegantly laid on top of w/ the addition of tender cooked veggies. One of the best meals we have had all year! We will be back for sure and I can't wait to try their seared scallops I saw so many other guests ordering! Hats off to the chef, he knows what he is doing!!
Our families favorite restaurant. Great service and the food never fails to impress!
Food and service were great! First time here, and will be back!
Short ribs were recommended and were excellent. A wonderful evening, excellent service, perfect food offerings.
This place is fantastic! I highly recommend the Kitchen Burger.
stumbled upon this hidden gem and had to make a reservation- it was unbelievably delicious.
My boyfriend and I had date night here and it was really good! The service was exceptional. Kristin was awesome!! In fact everyone was great! Love the ambience too. The prices were a bit high BUT it was definitely worth it! We will be back!
Amazing food with outstanding customer service. Great value for fresh ingredients that pop with flavor.
Repeat performance! We have been to Rusconis a number of times and we always eagerly await our next visit.
