Loved the blackened fish tacos!…. But more importantly, I was there and witnessed how Jerry, (that oaf of an entitled Karen) demanded to be seated in front of 8 other people and when Pam politely and professionally declined, he lost his temper and threatened her with a bad review. Pay attention Jerry, a reservation gives you a seat in the restaurant, not the right to go to the head of a line and bully the people who work so hard to be pleasant to twits like you. She didn’t say a single bad or cross word in the face of all your crap. Do us all a favor and stay home Jerry, we will all be happier without you.

Ruscello is a great place to meet friends for lunch when you want good food and a noise level that allows you to hear each other. The service staff is always pleasant and the menu has options to please everyone. A plus is an excuse to do some shopping at Nordstrom before or after lunch!

Perfect lunch spot while at Ridgedale shopping. We had a reservation and sat in a booth at the windows. The hostess and servers were all quite responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the salads and pizza. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was excellent. Will certainly be back in the future.

First let me say, I have always enjoyed this restaurant. However, when we called the restaurant to move our 6:30 reservation to 7 the staff informed us that their last reservation was 6:15 and the restaurant was closing at 7. I understand that lots of businesses are shortstaffed and are adjusting their hours accordingly but this should also been communicated to OpenTable so that they don’t except reservations outside of the hours of business. This discourages me from using open table.

Always a nice place to meet for lunch. However, we always seem to get seated in the booth by the window (which we like) but the seat has clear tape on the seat. Come on Nordstrom, you can afford a new cushion.

I made a reservation and when we arrived there was a sign that said they were closing at 4 due to staffing. I made the 6:45 reservation at about 6, after they were already closed. Had I known they were closed I wouldn’t have made the reservation. This is the 2nd time. I won’t do this again.

Really enjoyed the Caesar salad. The dressing was delicious. Very lemony and pickled radishes were a great addition. Our server was wonderful and I know they are short staffed ( help wanted sign posted at entry). They really do a nice job with their restaurant. I've always had a great meal.

Ruscello is consistently excellent--some of the finest food and service we've had in the Metro area for a very long time! The Salad Niçoise with salmon is remarkable, as are the lunch specials. Yesterday, I had the special of a grain salad with lamb meatballs and it was superb. The servers are friendly and accommodating and the prices are reasonable. If you're shopping at Nordstrom's in Ridgedale, don't miss this little treasure!

Lunch for two: I had Wild Salmon & Cauliflower - peperonata vegetables, creamy parmesan polenta, lemon honey gastrique. $24.50. It arrived nicely plated, I started with a forkful of peperonata, which was cold. Moved my fork over a bit and it still was chilly, but very tasty. I lifted the salmon and checked the polenta's temperature which was fine. The rest of the peperonata was marginally warm, but I didn't send it back because it was delicious, I was hungry, I didn't want to wait, and room temperature was OK with me because it was well spiced and didn't require warm or hot temps to eat. But it also shouldn't be cold or cool. The salmon and polenta were fine, no complaints. My friend had a pasta dish, I'd asked her how it was and she said the taste was good but it was very salty. At the end of the meal she took a box to bring it home and I commented it smelled very good, and she again said yes, but it was so salty. I later asked her if she ate the leftovers and she said she threw it away because it was incredibly inedibly salty. I also asked why she didn't send it back but that's another matter. Pricey wine. There were few people in the restaurant so no complaints about the acoustics. Service was a bit confusing between the bartender and another wait person. We were checked out without asking about dessert. When he perceived we were interested he gave us the two available options, and we split an order of pumpkin cheesecake. The cheesecake was nicely done — not the usual uninspired slice of pumpkin cheesecake, instead it was molded, it didn't taste like a tsp. of pumpkin pie spice, and it was finished with caramel sauce.
