This is a hidden find at the Oakbrook mall. There are many healthy menu options, and the portion size of my salmon selection was generous. There are happy hour prices that entice you to have a cocktail or appetizer when you aren’t thinking that way, and 1/2 price wine bottles on Wednesdays. We were treated to a friendly and attentive server. I had not been here for over a year, and my most recent visit was great again.

Went for brunch. Website says brunch is served until 3:00. Our reservation was at 11:45. Menus are not brunch menus. When we asked about brunch, we were told they are no longer serving brunch. So we left.

Calamari not very good. Niçoise salad very good. My husband liked his turkey avocado club a lot. Their tomato basil is the best soup!!

Delicious as always. Had the Turkey avocado bacon sandwich. So fresh and crisp bacon. I always add pesto to my sandwich. Great order of fries. Always have the same server. Been there for many years.

When I add it up, I’ve probably eaten at this Nordstrom Café more than any other restaurant in my life. We’ve been coming here for years and it is a family tradition at Oak Brook. And, unfortunately, it is slipping, probably the result of corporate pressure on Nordstrom itself. Many of the servers are the same faces that we’ve seen for 10 or 15 years, and they are still excellent. But the food… Corners are being cut, portions are getting smaller, ingredients compromised, favorites dropped. I sense the need for productivity rather than quality. It’s unfortunate because this has always been a little bit of a hidden gem among the many excellent restaurants in the area. Reliable quality and very friendly service but now the food is dropping below standards.
