At Rupert’s we strive to offer fresh, honest, clean, simple, good value food. James Beard Nominated Chef Gary Kucy places a focus on flavor with quality ingredients and a fondness toward ethnic flavors of the Southwest, Asia, and Mediterranean. Located in the center of town, directly opposite Payette Lake, Rupert's has wonderful views from the patio and dining room.

The service and style in the Rupert’s dining room follows the style in the kitchen. Complementing the cuisine with great value and high quality, Rupert’s offers an extensive wine list, great draft beer selection and full cocktail bar. Wonderful dinner lakeside in McCall. Our first time visiting the area and we loved the unique menu! We tired the Yak Momas and the Elk Meatloaf along with the Halibut special.. all were exceptional. The special birthday dessert was fun and the huckleberry gelato was amazing!

Fantastic service - friendly attentive server, superb drinks. Himalayan momo appetizer was essentially hard packed yak meat with very little flavor. Accompanying tomato chutney was very good but couldn’t quite make up for hard flavorless momo filling. Elk meatloaf was flavorful but barely room temp - clearly rewarmed but not quite enough! Steak with gratin potatoes was very good - perfect char and done to perfection. Overall great atmosphere, service and drinks. Food quality not so much.

Ramen was nicely done. Fish option was yummy, but portion could’ve been more proportional to price-point. Must eat on the patio during open season, game changer

We went for our anniversary, hoping for a special experience and did not skimp on the meals. We ordered two of the most expensive choices. Both meals were luke warm when served and the meat temperature choices were off. Mine was medium although I ordered medium-rare and my wife's was the opposite. Obviously a confusion when taking the order. There was nothing special about the sources or condiments. Rather bland in taste and presentation. The service felt rushed. Not the experience you would expect from a place and location like Rupert's.

Excellent cocktails, amazing elk meatloaf, and my wife’s roasted duck was perfectly cooked. If we make it back to McCall, we’ll be there to experience the fine dining once again.

Three out of the four meals were overcooked, dry and tasteless. They did replace the over done halibut with a salmon close to sushi consistency. After that everyone had lost their appetite. It might have been due to preparing for the Memorial day rush as this restaurant usually does much better.
