Food was good, views and service were fabulous. Very expensive for what was served, deserts were a little disappointing.

We took my mom for her 70th birthday and it certainly felt like a special occasion. The service was wonderful and the explanation of all of the teas is kind of fun. Still, the cost will hit you in the gut. They do their best to make the array of fingers foods upscale and most of them were tasty, but not the best thing you've ever eaten worth $65 delicious. Of course you are paying for the location and ambiance and it delivers. I would say it is a fun, do once in your life kind of activity.

High tea at it's best. The views are breathtaking; the service was superb; the tea was plentiful; and the sandwiches better than our high expectations.

Afternoon tea at the castle conjures up images of simple treats accented with a flavorful brew. At the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, replace simple with decadent and add a variety of brews to please individual tastes, plant the experience in the centre of gorgeous mountain scenery and it is an experience not be be missed. Staff are adept at facilitating without intruding.

Stunning view, delicious tea and wonderful service. The whistling sound through the windows was quite distracting, and it would have been nice to have full sized scones (not the tiny ones served), and proper sandwiches (all "sandwiches" were items served as on a cracker). Overall, a lovely experience though.

I brought my friend who was visiting from Saint John, New Brunswick. She’d never seen the Rocky Mountains before, and I thought that it would be nice to enjoy the view from the beautiful Banff Springs Hotel.

I was very disappointed that our server took a very long time to greet and serve us. Also, there was a hair in my friend’s pre-tea fruit appetizer, and it had to be returned to the kitchen.

Very nice way to spend a pleasant afternoon in glorious scenery. The menu puts some interesting twists on a typical English tea, and the Darkeeling in particular is most refreshing.

We decided to take my mom for afternoon tea at the Banff Springs for her 75th birthday. It was amazing. We all had tea and we added a cheese board which we started with before dainties. By the time we actually got to the dessert part, we actually starting splitting each piece smaller, because we were so full. We did however get to take a fair chunk back with us. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us. They also acknowledged my mother's 75th birthday and brought her a chocolate cake on top of what were already had. We had such a great experience.

I was with my daughter, and granddaughter , the food was delicious though not your traditional English cucumber and watercress finger sandwiches. The tea was very good. Our wait staff was wonderful. The whole experience was a fabulous way to spend the afternoon. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

One of the best high teas ever (better than the Peninsula in NYC!). Wonderful service (Sara), amazing view, beautifully presented items (LOVED the presentation on the wood triangular tea stand) and unique teas. I’d definitely return the next time I’m in town!

Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont in Banff is an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours, enjoy some beautiful scenery, and treat yourself to delectable foods and tea. While I wouldn't call the price a "value" for what you pay, it is worth the cost if you want a luxurious experience at this historic hotel. We enjoyed our time, and would do it again. It's definitely different than your average lunch outing.

The views in itself make it worth it. Everything was stunning, perfect setting for afternoon tea. The food itself as well as the tea in my opinion was underwhelming. All of the savoury options weren’t very good at all.. They’d be better off simplifying things and doing more traditional tea sandwiches. The desserts were reasonable and the scones/ profiteroles were amazing. If I was judging on the food alone I’d be disappointed however the setting and service made it entirely worth it. Thank you.

What a wonderful way to hit “pause”! The experience was great, we will do this again. The teas and food were delicious and varied, the service friendly and informative. Tea takes time to steep and the timing of the tea and food reflected that. First time all year that I’ve taken the time to reflect on how beneficial “pausing” can be. Great for type “A’s” and their partners.

Overall great experience. Wish there was a bit more savoury and a little less sweet onvthe tea tray. Service was wonderful and our server was helpful and polite. Along with the great tea, the yummy food and superb service I think for all of us the star of the show was the wonderful views of the beautiful snow covered mountain vistas! Not the first time we’ve been out for tea and it definitely will not be the last!

Very much enjoyed the high tea. I preferred the china tiers to the wooden one. Also loose tea rather than the large bags which were unwieldy to place on the plate provided. I suggest a more flavourful rye bread.

The view was divine, the company was perfect and the staff and food was to die for. Seriously, I know it seems expensive but it is worth it and the food fills you up. I have Celiac disease and they had a tower of tea sandwiches and treats just for me and I did not feel deprived at all as sometimes will happen at other restaurants where you get ONE thing while everyone else has tons to choose from. I highly recommend Afternoon Tea!
