Tea and food were incredible along with the stunning view. Highly recommend.
Food was delicious. Wonderful view from our table. Our waiter Ankit made our afternoon tea very pleasant and enjoyable.
Great setting, lovely food however tea cools very quickly. All very nice though
Fabulous way to spend time with my parents and daughter for my mother’s birthday. Anvik, our server, was fabulous and made us feel very special with his attentiveness. The food and ambience were fantastic. You can’t beat the view either: huge picture windows overlooking the Banff Springs Golf Course, the Spray Valley and west beyond the Town of Banff. Amazing!
Made a reservation for June 2 for a Mother’s Day afternoon tea. A beautiful location and an amazing menu. I am Celiac and they did a good job of providing a gluten free menu. However they served it as the middle tier of the platter with regular scones sitting right above it. From a cross contamination standpoint, this could be done better. The Empress has smaller sandwich stands and provides guests with food issues their own small tray.
We brought our 10 month old daughter and they provided a high chair. We also bought her the child’s tea menu because she is an adventurous eater, but that wasn’t required and couples with a baby could have just ordered for themselves and gotten nothing for the little one. Our daughter loved the menu and tried a bite of everything. Her favourite was the coronation chicken.
Amazing afternoon tea experience with an incredible view of mountains at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Tea was plentiful with a variety of options. Food was delicious and aplenty -- variety of canapés, several desserts, and two types of scones. My friends and I were all full at the end of it. Service was friendly and efficient. Amy, our server, seemed to have a thorough understanding of the menu, and she was just great.
Would highly recommend to a friend. Ankit our server was informative, engaging and of course the outstanding views!
Amy, our server was outstanding. Lovely lady. Great experience as usual.
Great experience. Would definitely recommend. Our waiter Ankit was fantastic - charming, knowledgeable and a great host. Looking forward to our next visit.
Love high tea here always top notch service great as always would do high tea here on a regular basis
Thanks a million
This was exactly what I was hoping it would be. The tea selection was stellar. I chose the Ontario Ice Wine Tea and my wife had the Creamed Earl Grey. We both enjoyed it immensely. (So much so that we bought some loose tea to take home.) The food was amazing and the service was unbelievable. I would highly recommend this experience to anybody. Incredible.
Loved the ambiance and the panoramic views from the table, which was situated near the window, enjoyed the high tea a little more expensive than other high teas, but it makes up with the views.
Mother’s Day tea
Food was good, views and service were fabulous. Very expensive for what was served, deserts were a little disappointing.
A fabulous location for a mother daughter date! Gorgeous views and lovely tea service.
Excellent afternoon tea and barely a sandwich in sight. Service 1st class and food amazing. Yes its expensive (comparable with Afternoon Tea @ Harrods in london) but for me jt was an iconic thi g today when in Banff Canada as i live close to Banff in Scotland 🏴
Our server, Ankit, made our experience wonderful! The food was exceptional, the teas warmth our hearts, and the view was breathtaking. We love one afternoon tea and we would definitely return! See you soon, Ankit!
I love the ambiance, the quality and presentation of food.
We took my mom for her 70th birthday and it certainly felt like a special occasion. The service was wonderful and the explanation of all of the teas is kind of fun. Still, the cost will hit you in the gut. They do their best to make the array of fingers foods upscale and most of them were tasty, but not the best thing you've ever eaten worth $65 delicious. Of course you are paying for the location and ambiance and it delivers. I would say it is a fun, do once in your life kind of activity.
Beautiful setting and amazing assortment of food and tea.
High tea at it's best. The views are breathtaking; the service was superb; the tea was plentiful; and the sandwiches better than our high expectations.
For a magical experience, dress up a little and enjoy a fantastic tea! The menu is fabulous, and they even served my vegan friend a complete array of beautiful vegan treats. Unforgettable!
Amazing- would recommend this to anyone. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Afternoon tea at the castle conjures up images of simple treats accented with a flavorful brew. At the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, replace simple with decadent and add a variety of brews to please individual tastes, plant the experience in the centre of gorgeous mountain scenery and it is an experience not be be missed. Staff are adept at facilitating without intruding.
Stunning view, delicious tea and wonderful service. The whistling sound through the windows was quite distracting, and it would have been nice to have full sized scones (not the tiny ones served), and proper sandwiches (all "sandwiches" were items served as on a cracker). Overall, a lovely experience though.
for the price and the quality of the food I would not repeat it. I will continue going instead to the Fairmont Palliser, Calgary.
Too much fun! Way more desserts than expected, took half of them home and they made awesome accommodations for my gluten intolerance. Going back soon!
Loved every bit of it. Beautiful view, delicious food and lovely tea. Will be back again for sure
I brought my friend who was visiting from Saint John, New Brunswick. She’d never seen the Rocky Mountains before, and I thought that it would be nice to enjoy the view from the beautiful Banff Springs Hotel.
I was very disappointed that our server took a very long time to greet and serve us. Also, there was a hair in my friend’s pre-tea fruit appetizer, and it had to be returned to the kitchen.
Very nice way to spend a pleasant afternoon in glorious scenery. The menu puts some interesting twists on a typical English tea, and the Darkeeling in particular is most refreshing.
everyone should at least once in their life experience a traditional high tea service, the setting and food was outstanding
Food and service was amazing. Such a nice way to spend a special afternoon
It was okay
We decided to take my mom for afternoon tea at the Banff Springs for her 75th birthday. It was amazing. We all had tea and we added a cheese board which we started with before dainties. By the time we actually got to the dessert part, we actually starting splitting each piece smaller, because we were so full. We did however get to take a fair chunk back with us. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us. They also acknowledged my mother's 75th birthday and brought her a chocolate cake on top of what were already had. We had such a great experience.
Service was fabulous. Just the right amount of delicious food. Wonderful views.
I was with my daughter, and granddaughter , the food was delicious though not your traditional English cucumber and watercress finger sandwiches. The tea was very good. Our wait staff was wonderful. The whole experience was a fabulous way to spend the afternoon. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.
We are vegetarian and they were very helpful and respectful and made wonderful substitions. Our girls loved it
Fantastic experience!! Everyone should have this experience at least once. It was my 3rd time. Shout out to Randy and Ankim for wonderful service!!
We have had tea multiple times at the Banff springs and it’s great every time. Always do what they can to make it special!
One of the best high teas ever (better than the Peninsula in NYC!). Wonderful service (Sara), amazing view, beautifully presented items (LOVED the presentation on the wood triangular tea stand) and unique teas. I’d definitely return the next time I’m in town!
