Great service and great meal!!!
Been here several times. Has always been a good experience!
Overall good experience.
It was our first visit but definitely not our last. WE LOVED IT. Food and atmosphere was AMAZING!
The fish tank is amazing! Very good food and service.
The fish tank is amazing. We had great food and service.
We were there to give my grandmother a “vacation experience” and boy, did it deliver! The fish tank was AMAZING as we dined. We all could have probably sat there all night. Our server, Kaylie, was impeccable. I work in the service industry and I would honestly LOVE to have someone like her. She was knowledgeable about the menu, made recommendations and was overall friendly and pleasant. It was a great experience and I can’t wait to visit again with the rest of my family.
Very strange experience tonight. Have been here once a year in the past 5 years. I don’t know if this experience was Covid-19 fallout related, but it was strange at the beginning and smoothed out to excellent service. We were a party of four. We were seated on time as we had reservations. We were served bread and butter quite expeditiously. However, we had no silverware or napkins. We waited a bit (10 min) and fully expected the usual place setting to arrive wrapped in a napkin. Didn’t happen. We resorted to scooping and smearing butter on rolls creatively. We flagged the hostess who was running around in a whirlwind of activity. Asked for a silverware place setting. She returned 10 minutes later with unfolded napkins and forks only. She said. “Here, I found you some forks and these napkins”! As if it were a great discovery. Very weird. Finally, now 30 min since being seated, a waitress arrived and asked if we needed anything. We asked if she would please be our server. She was happy to oblige. We asked for knives to compliment our forks. 10 min later she brought some hefty steak knives and remarked that they would spread butter just as well as the usual butter knives, snidely remarking that she’s tried it before and they worked nicely, and that the restaurant , in fact, only had steak knives. Odd. We had excellent service, thereafter. The food was very good. We had the scallops, crusted tuna and cauliflower steak. All done to perfection as described on the menu. We had the key lime pie and chocolate lava cake as desserts. Also excellent. The whole long wait for the napkin, knife and fork thing at the beginning was very odd, though.
We had a reservation for two at 7:00pm and showed up right on time. They told us our table wasn't ready so we stepped aside and thought it would be a few minutes. A few other couples came in after us and were seated right away. Then by 7:30 still not seated and another party of six was seated who had a reservation at 7:30z we asked what the problem was and they seated us right away. The staff seemed unorganized and apologetic to almost everyone. We ordered drinks and they came fairly quick. No table set up was on the table so we asked for napkins. We were brought a one inch stack of cocktail napkins. We ordered our food and it arrived in a proper amount of time, but the side dishes offered on the menu were not on our plates.. they subbed potatoes on both plates when we questioned it, we were told it was correct. We asked to see the menu and were told they were correct. Our server was polite but it just made for a weird conversation. Our side dishes were under cooked, we ate our food and left. I would not recommend this place. It's pricey and just doesn't measure up to the price. Poor management I guess??
Staff were likely new and inexperienced. Had a reservation for 6:30, however, they were running a little behind. Went to the bar which was full but not overcrowded and couldn't get anyone to help. We got called for our table before we could order a drink. Waited at the bar for around 10 minutes. The service after being seated was poor and slow. It took 10 minutes to even get greeted. We were provided water shortly after but had to request utensils several times after the bread was served. Drinks were served after the appetizer. The food, however, was good but frankly not good enough to overcome the service. We had dinner here 3-4 years ago and it was top notch. I guess Covid has taken it's toll here as well.
The overall experience was good. Our waiter was great and helped us a bunch. The view is fantastic, we were able to get pretty close so I appreciate that. The only thing lacking was the food. It was passable for Chillis, etc, but for these prices not so much. Nothing was bad though.
We have been there before but this time we waited 20 minutes to order our drink and meal. The food was okay but not their best. We have to travel an hour away and past a lot of better places. Will be rethinking of going back.
I expected better service based on price and thinking it would be along the line of a Flemings or Sullivan’s in Pa/Del up north. At $44 per steak I shouldn’t have to ask for a water refill.
Other then the fish tank (very cool) the restaurant was plain. Could use some white tablecloths.
Food didn’t wow us as expected. A $44 steak should melt in your mouth.
This will be a one and done experience.
We loved our meal. We enjoyed a poke bowl appetizer, the crab bisque was delicious as was the sea bass entre and Key lime pie. The menus are nicely backlit making the dim lighting (perfect to enjoy the amazing aquarium)experience perfect. We will be back many times!
Asked to be close to Fish Tank when reservation was made. Ended up very far from it.
Birthday celebration was great
Mediocre food and server was MIA most of the time. She seemed out of it.
Very comfortable and knowledgeable staff. Loudest part of the night was our kids enjoying the fish tank. Good was amazing and spot on. We will be back again . Staff at the Gift shop was very helpful and interacting with the kids and helping find what we wanted. A+
A wonderful restaurant with a stunning aquarium. Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend it.
Excellent food and friendly, efficient service. They even accommodated us when we added two (2) additional people to our table reserved for four (4).
The tank view is awesome food was vey good. So what of a limited menu. Great place for sea food
We wanted this to be a great
Okay the staff was very friendly and great. However the food was horrible. Flavorless. I’d never buy food there again. I would drink there and look at the aquarium. Which by the way are some ugly fishes lol. I was going to sign up to swim with them until I saw how big and ugly they were and with teeth lol. I would not want to jump in like a meal lol. Def not pose with those ugly things lol. Love the staff though.
Love this place. Great service in the restaurant. Outside bar area not so much.
Great food was extremely happy
I was excited to enjoy a fine dining experience and booked a table several weeks in advance for our trip to St Pete Beach. We were impressed by the Decor and attentiveness from our waiter, Bailey. Soon after we arrived several parties with small children arrived and were sat nearby. The children began screaming and crying and we politely asked be moved. The hostess couldn’t move us anywhere except two rows over near more parties with small children. We declined and attempted to stick it out. Before our food arrived, the noise level was intolerable and we saw another family leave the restaurant. We followed suit and asked the waiter to pack our $180 meal up so we could eat it at hotel. By the time we made it back to the hotel the food was cold. We were also disappointed by the portion sizes. This was the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had.
The best place
Was quick, small sampling for fare.
My anniversary was amazing! Our server was attentive and friendly and accommodated my other daughter and grandchildren who came later. They were so welcoming! Thank you. You made my anniversary so special.
Christmas Dinner at RUMFISH with 8 of my beautiful family. Food was impeccable. We had every side and every dessert. The steaks were perfection. The fish was glorious. Wow it was terrific.
Food was surprisingly very good. My swordfish was out of this world. My husband’s grouper was very good .
Lovely table close to fish tank for my family. Good choice a little limited but everyone chose something they wanted. Taste was good, clean plates all round. Service was good. Ambiance was a little loud but not too much.
Pleased with our choice of restaurant for Christmas Eve overall.
Great time at RumFish. We started with the trio dip, and then I had the scallops and my husband had the swordfish. Scallops are my favorite, but I think his swordfish was better! We will definitely remember this place next time we are in town.
Terrible … ripoff… two of their featured regular menu items were sold out. Huge disappointment.
Food was good but portions too small - very small limited menu with no special standout items. Also, it seemed they were “out of” many items (annoying). In an area bursting with seafood options the only draw is, if course, the enormous aquarium teeming with many larger varieties of local Florida game fish. Worth it if 1. You have kids 2. You are seated next to the aquarium. Otherwise not worth the hype.
Wonderful Birthday Dinner experience!!!
We were very impressed with the variety of food, preparations and flavor choices. The service was quick and efficient. We will look forward to coming back.
Shaun was our waiter and he was OUTSTANDING. As always our party had a great time and the food was fantastc
Rumfish was a great experience. The fishes are super cool. The portion sizes are small, but that leaves room for dessert - which is also yummy. Definitely check them out!
Food was good as well as the atmosphere. Seated at table next to aquarium was very nice
