Live Piano nightly.
This is not a complaint about Ruggeri's. This is a complaint about Open Table, which allowed us to book a reservation at a restaurant that appears to be closed for constructions. When we got to the restaurant and found that it was closed, Open Table would not let me cancel the reservation and book something else. It kept telling me to call the restaurant, which I tried to do, but they are not accepting calls. Open Table - please make sure that the restaurants on your site are actually in operation! And if not, allow customers to cancel their reservations and re-book!
Super restaurant with great nightly specials and good ambience. The piano player is also super playing the standards and going around asking folks for their favorites.
Mr rugerri’s personalized friendly hospitality made the atmosphere an even pleasanter experience
We have been going for years and continue to discover hidden gems on the menu. Food and service is very consistent. The owner and employees are great with customers
It was a most enjoyable evening out. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was exceptionally cozy. The entertainment was most enjoyable. This was my third time going to Ruggeri's and have never been disappointed. It was my companion's first visit and she was extremely pleased with the experience. Certainly did provide me with good points. Many thanks for a great evening!
Extraordinary! Meal, service, ambience was exceptional. Order the soft shell crab. You wont regret it. Buon appetito!
Excellent food!! Incredible service! Great piano playing the lady playing is very talented and friendly.. playing song requests. It’s always great!!!!
Wine list is horrible. Couldn't drink their wine. If you drink iced tea, then it is ok. If like wine, avoid this place.
Went for my sister’s birthday. Live music was nice but made the dining room very loud. It was hard to hold a conversation. The food was good, but not as good as I remember from last time we dined there. Service was attentive.
Love this neighborhood gem. Love the Cioppino.
Can always expect consistent quality food.
Outdated decor/ambiance with mediocre food
Excellent food. Great pasta.
Have been coming to Ruggeri's for some years. Not so recently at this location. We enjoyed out time there and the food. For me the pasta dishes were limited for my taste, Everyone else seemed to fully enjoy the whole experience.
There were four of us to dinner and we had 4 different entrees which were very good. The portions were large and none of us could finish our entrée. The noise level was moderate.
Very good menu selections and service
Ruggeri's is a nice restaurant to go for a date or a special evening. Great piano player on Saturday evenings.
We enjoyed our dinner and experienced great service. Our waiter and the other staff members were attentive and didn't rush us as we wanted to enjoy a leisurely meal while visiting with family. We were there on a Thursday evening, and there were just a handful of other guests. The food was good ... classic Italian fare that met our expectations. We love a good bruschetta, and theirs was a slightly different but very enjoyable spin on this starter. The only downside for us were the cocktails from the bar ... a bit heavy on alcohol and a little light on the mixers for our taste; that might be a plus for some, though!
We loved Ruggeri's when it was far North Dallas, but wanted to take some special friends out for their
anniversary. It was lovely, the wait staff, the ambience and especially the food were all enjoyable.
The service was horrible! We had to ask for everything! Fortunately the food was good but not sure I would go back.
The food and service are always top notch. The owner makes you feel so welcome. We especially enjoy the pretty blonde lady who plays the piano and takes requests. It is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.
Such a pleasure to dine at Ruggeri’s! Service, food, and ambiance: all impeccable! Thank you, Tommy Ruggeri!
Food was delicious. And that’s coming from an east coaster where there’s an abundance of great Italian restaurants. Great place to take the family for the holidays or a special occasion.
Fun Wednesday night with live music. Lots of regular locals enjoying themselves and welcoming new comers. Host attentive and accommodating.
The best meal for the money in Dallas
The food is always outstanding, but too often my glass remains empty until I can flag someone down. Closer attention to that should be paid.
Very nice, quaint place with excellent dishes. Superior service.
Great food and wonderful service!
Dave is a fave,
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere where you can actually hold a conversation. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. A perfect Anniversary dinner.
Great dinner!! Thoroughly enjoyed the Italian dishes. My wife said "Will be back".
Absolutely Fantastic! From start to finish the meal was perfect. We had the baked oysters because my son loves them. I was really sceptical but they were so delicious! The spinach salad was outstanding as was the garlic bread. All the entrees were great and the sauces were fresh. We even made room for the tiramisu. Can't wait to go back!
Fresh and delicious lobster ravioli! The wine, bruschetta, service and pleasant atmosphere made for a perfect evening.
Wait staff is a little bit stuffy, almost snooty, but the food is good!
Wonderful food beautifully presented. Service was excellent without being intrusive.
Very good food, service and food portions. The noise level is increased secondary to piano playing. I would imagine most customers would prefer NO PIANO.
Service good but felt rushed.
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Excellent service with wonderful ambiance and delicious food. It was our first time and we look forward to going back again. The complimentary anniversary dessert was also wonderful and very appreciated as well. Super easy to recommend this place to anyone!
Very good pasta
Old school Italian. Good service with a menu that covers classic dishes. This was our first time to Ruggeri's and we had a good experience. We had reservations but probably did not need them as there were multiple open tables when we arrived. The place remained busy during our visit w staff hustling to and fro. Our food was delicious. Dessert looked good so we got key lime pie to go. Overall great experience, we will be back again.
