Ruggeri's - Dallas
Live Piano nightly.
Fun Wednesday night with live music. Lots of regular locals enjoying themselves and welcoming new comers. Host attentive and accommodating.
The best meal for the money in Dallas
The food is always outstanding, but too often my glass remains empty until I can flag someone down. Closer attention to that should be paid.
Very nice, quaint place with excellent dishes. Superior service.
Great food and wonderful service!
Dave is a fave,
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere where you can actually hold a conversation. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. A perfect Anniversary dinner.
Great dinner!! Thoroughly enjoyed the Italian dishes. My wife said "Will be back".
Absolutely Fantastic! From start to finish the meal was perfect. We had the baked oysters because my son loves them. I was really sceptical but they were so delicious! The spinach salad was outstanding as was the garlic bread. All the entrees were great and the sauces were fresh. We even made room for the tiramisu. Can't wait to go back!
Fresh and delicious lobster ravioli! The wine, bruschetta, service and pleasant atmosphere made for a perfect evening.
Wait staff is a little bit stuffy, almost snooty, but the food is good!
Wonderful food beautifully presented. Service was excellent without being intrusive.
Very good food, service and food portions. The noise level is increased secondary to piano playing. I would imagine most customers would prefer NO PIANO.
Service good but felt rushed.
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Excellent service with wonderful ambiance and delicious food. It was our first time and we look forward to going back again. The complimentary anniversary dessert was also wonderful and very appreciated as well. Super easy to recommend this place to anyone!
Very good pasta
Old school Italian. Good service with a menu that covers classic dishes. This was our first time to Ruggeri's and we had a good experience. We had reservations but probably did not need them as there were multiple open tables when we arrived. The place remained busy during our visit w staff hustling to and fro. Our food was delicious. Dessert looked good so we got key lime pie to go. Overall great experience, we will be back again.
Superb. One of Dallas's best without a doubt. Enjoy a quiet meal with delicious food in a warm, friendly, neighborhood environment with ample parking.
We drop in to Ruggeri’s when we are in the mood for traditional Italian food in a traditional Italian setting server by long time wait staff and we find it comforting and always satisfying and this last visit was no exception. Greeted upon arrival by the owner we were led to our table and promptly server with crusty bread and butter and water. Our waiter appeared shortly and asked about our drink preference and presented us with a wine list upon request. After perusing the menu and hearing about the evening’s specials we selected Chicken Kiev for myself and Chicken with lemon and capers for my wife along with a nice bottle of Brunello wine. We also started off by sharing an excellent chopped Italian salad and finished the meal by again sharing a delicious Key Lime pie. All in all it was a very nice evening well worth the price. We will return again soon..
We were in Dallas for a shopping weekend and were looking for good Italian. We read all the reviews and went back and forth between several restaurants. We actually booked and cancelled this restaurant several times in one day, because we just couldn't make up our mind. Our party consisted of my husband and me and our 14 year old twin daughters. We couldn't believe our good fortune when we realized what an amazing restaurant this is! The ambiance is old world, the owner and waitstaff seemed to know many of the diners. They made us feel very welcome even thought it was our first time here. We had chicken carciofi, ravioli with sausage, linguini with marinara, and several other truly outstanding Italian dishes. Everything we had was superb, fresh, and lovely. We never take leftovers home when traveling, but we took everything back with us and enjoyed it just as much the next day. Our waiter, Serge, was wonderful. Also the bar area looked cozy and elegant. We will be back every time we visit Dallas.
The best Italian food I've had in a very long time!
Great service and excellent food. Charming entertainment. The restaurant felt a bit dated and dark, but the attentive staff were top notch and can not be found in many other establishments.
My spouse and I have been dining and celebrating at Ruggeri’s for 30 years. It was romantic when we were younger and is still romantic. The food is consistently excellent over time. The pianist is wonderful. Sadly the staff naturally changes over time but Mr. Ruggeri remains a most engaging host. Ruggeri’s is my favorite Dallas restaurant.
Bery nice birthday evening out with family
I wanted to go someplace new for my husband's birthday, well actually we have been to the old one many years ago & remembered it was great! Our waiter left a little to be desired...personality-wise & when we wanted to check out, he never came around & we finally had to ask someone to find him.
Other than that, the food was just fabulous, loved the ambiance, low lighting & piano music.
We had a nice chat with Mr. Ruggeri outside as we were leaving, very nice man!
We will be back!
Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent live music. In fact, perfection might be a better choice of words!
The meal was delicious and the service excellent. We particularly enjoyed the caesar salad. It is nice to be able to enjoy dinner with friends in a quiet location .
5 Stars across the board as always. Love eating there.
Always a great meal. And the owner makes it a point to stop by the table and visit. A Dallas institution.
The Preston Royal location is a quiet classic setting. Great selections on menu and food is fabulous. Terrific date setting where you can carry on a conversation easily. There is a piano but we had dinner early before he started playing. Once the piano playing begins, obviously the noise level changes, but adds to the ambiance.
The restaurant seems to be a well kept hidden secret. Definitely a hidden gem. Very great portions. Everyone at our table got something different and we were all satisfied.
If you're looking for italian classics, like Osso Bucco, this is the place to go in North Dallas. We had a party of 4 and 1/2 of our party arrived early and were promptly seated. It was Saturday night and the atmosphere was energetic and loud, almost NY like. Service is good and the food is excellent. It's a bit pricey, but worth it if you're looking for a fun place to enjoy a great dinner.
Food was great, service great and piano music so pretty.
I asked server to clear an untouched app he responded by asking if he should box it up for us and u of course said no please clear it from the bill. He comes back with it boxed up and still on the check.
My husband and I have talked about trying for years and just wish we had sooner. Best Lasagne I have had and we have eaten a lot of Italian in Dallas over the last 35 years.
Sergio was the perfect server and was attentive to detail.
I think the piano player was Linda? She is gifted andplayed the best selection of classics and some of our old favorites such as Fly Me to the Moon, Moon River and Someone to Watch Over Me. We live in the neighborhood and will be back very soon.
John and Shelly Burns
I came here with my wife for Valentine's dinner and was very happy with the whole experience! The ambiance was one of my favorite parts of the night. Very elegant and romantic atmosphere. The staff was professional and accommodating. The Valentine's menu had many entree options and they all looked so good it was hard to pick! Great problem to have. I requested in the reservation that someone bring champagne to our table when we arrived and they followed through. I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again!
Outstanding service, food and atmosphere.
Wonderful quaint restaurant with awesome staff and food. You will enjoy.
Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful food. My husband and I eat there every time we go to Dallas!
