Rudys is always a great place to eat. All of our friends love this place.

We have been to Rudy's many times over the years, this was our best experience, ever. It was perfect, great food and service. Couldn't have been happier.

We have sometimes felt the food can fluctuate in taste, but during this last visit the food was excellent and served relatively quickly on a busy Saturday night.

This is our favorite place to go out and eat, we have been going there for over 30 years and will keep going back as long as we can.

We've been coming here for over 20 years for our anniversary. Love the lobster and ambiance!

All the staff were friendly and attentive. Service was prompt without being rushed and the food was very good. I have dined here a couple of times per year for several years and it has been a consistently good experience.

My husband and I have been going to Rudy’s for years and it was great then and even better now, we love the delicious menu and the bar drinks are always made perfectly. Goin back real soon!

Best lobster in the area by far. Ron is an excellent server - we had calamari to start, clam chowder and filet mignon with lobster. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Top notch seafood restaurant. Bar is very small, so it can be a little cramped in there when it’s busy on the weekend.

As usual it was excelent. We have been coming to Rudy's for many years and are never disappointed. This was our 56 year wedding anniversary celebration !!!!

Prime rib and lobster tail was delicious. A bit expensive and the place resembles a cheap diner but the food and service were fantastic. Generous portion size too we took home and had for dinner the next night.

We have dined at Rudy’s for years and if you want great food and nice people it is the place to be! When in doubt go to Rudy’s as the food and drinks are top notch.-

This restaurant serves very good food, especially seafood. The prices are rather high, but the food is first class.

First time at Rudy’s but we felt like we were coming home for a Sunday dinner. Very friendly and efficient staff. Old fashioned ambience with big comfy booths! We were well taken care of. Food was good and generous portions. The scampi was great and sauce made for bread dipping! We tried some local wines and enjoyed them. Would definitely return for a very pleasant dining experience. It’s the kind of place that satisfies and puts a smile on your face!

Had not been there for at 15 years. No need to ever go back. Lobster tail was rubbery and without flavor which means it had been frozen. Prime Rib, well I'd offer to go back in the kitchen and teach them how to age, season and cook beef but I just don't enough to spend the time.

Food and service were both very good. Several “parties “ added to the noise level. Crab legs were over cooked which made extracting the crab meat almost impossible

Food was excellent at always and the wait person was absolutely fantastic. She was on top of everything from the moment we were seated.

We enjoy Rudy's regularly. Always friendly staff and amazing cuisine. Be sure to indulge in the exceptional cioppino.

This restaurant is a neighborhood gem...

My wife loves Lobster and Rudy’s prepares it just the way she likes it. I am not big on fish or lobster but I can always find something that I like. We definitely will be back.

I'M always happy with Rudys !!! Service is great food is great and price is right i've been going for many years !!!!!! Rge prime rib is always good and the crab legs so juicy . The lobster is very good .......as a appetizer we at the fried calamari so good .....Now stop reading and head to rudy's hideaway

Good food but service not so good. Also, when you buy a $30 lobster dinner, why do they charge you extra to swap a salad for the vegetables that come with it? We spent $180 at this place but they couldn’t do that? Their prices online were less than the menu when we got there. The lobster was $2 more. That should be update on their online menu.

Great restaurant with great food! The cioppino was exceptional according to my husband who has tried cioppino at many different restaurants. The clam chowder got rave reviews as well. The calamari was so tender and tasty. We prefer the strips and happy to see it was not heavily breaded. We have already made plans to come back in a week to introduce the restaurant to friends who moved to El Dorado Hills from the Bay Area. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

Construction was going on which made it difficult to carry on a conversation. Understandable.
I didn't really like the lunch special, but the clam chowder was good.

Every single person, from the front desk through all of the wait staff, was as friendly and nice as could be.

The food was good, Excellent salads and sides. Service is great. Food came in a timely manner. Portions were good we left full. Lobster tail didn't have much flavor. Will try seafood platter next time.

Our group had a wonderful time enjoying the great food and visiting with each other. Since we are "older" we had some difficulty hearing each other over the other guests. But that will not deter us from coming back! Food and service is terrific.

Arrived early and promptly seated, restaurant did already have a good sized crowd, and all appeared to be having a good time, service started out fine and we were able to order rather quickly. Our group had mostly soft drinks rather than the usual cocktail after arrival, we did have a rather long wait to be served our dinner and this was a bit unusual for us since we have dined here several times in the past. It was some 50 minutes after our order before it finally arrived to the table. The food was well prepared and hot as usual, and very tasty. I guess my only complaint overall with this dining experience was we were never offered a refill on our soft drinks or water during dinner, or after dinner as well while waiting for the check.

I have visited Rudy’s several times and have had great service and food in the past. This visit was extremely lacking. Our waiter was not very attentive to our needs. We had to ask for drinks, napkins, etc. The waiter only visited our table twice on his own while we were there for almost an hour. He took our order and delivered our food.
I was greatly disappointed in the food. We ordered steak and lobster. The lobster was very rubbery in consistency (more than usual) and could hardly be cut with a knife and fork. As soon as the waiter brought out our plates, he used his bare hands to pull the lobster tail out of the shell and removed the shells from our plates without asking. It happened in a matter of seconds and the waiter left. The steak was dull and lacked any kind of flavoring. I had asked for my steak to be cooked rare and it came out medium well done. On a positive note, I will say that both my date and I were very pleased with clam chowder.
We paid over $140 for a meal that was flavorless and subpar service. Unfortunately, we will not be visiting Rudy’s in the future. It was not worth the price of the meal.

Always a pleasure going to Rudy’s. Great service ambience, excellent food selection & a very nice bar that has an extensive selection of wines. The price is very good for the food quality. I will definitely be back.

Food was mediocre. I had the cioppino. The scallops were cook perfectly and broth was seasoned nicely but the rest of the seafood was pretty over cooked. Two at the table had the prime rib which was really fatty and another had the mixed seafood which was simply “okay.”
Overall it’s a nice place for okay food but nothing very impressive.
Our waitress has a couple flubs but was working her tail off at a very busy time. She extremely kind and quick with any requests.
