Rudy & Paco Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
It was nice the owner came to every table to speak with patrons. I was disappointed he waited until we were paying our check to visit with us. He greeted all other tables early in their dining experience, it was obvious there were many regulars and friends of the owner. This was nice to see. Would’ve made us feel more welcome had he chosen to welcome us earlier, as he did the others. It was obvious he delayed greeting us. Excellent food and wait staff attention, thank you.
I have had a second home in Galveston for the last 2 years and everyone has raved about how awesome this place is. I must say that my friends did not say enough how wonderful the service, food, ambiance was. We had the shrimp empanadas , and the escargot with a bottle of wine. I have only had one other restaurant in my 45 years of dining that I could not wait to go again!!!!! This is the second. Don’t pass up the chance to go when your in Galveston.
I love this restaurant and the high service standards that it has set for themselves. Unfortunately, Friday night wasn’t their best night. We arrived on time for our 8:30 reservation, but had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. The bar was full so we just stood waiting. Once seated, we felt rushed through the meal. The food was excellent but the appetizer came out quickly and before we were finished with it, our meal arrived. It was an important date and we both felt uncomfortable and hurried.
Wanted a special restaurant for a special anniversary. The restaurant had good reviews so we went. It is fine dining with excellent food, service and atmosphere and is priced accordingly. We were very pleased and we'll definitely go again when the occasion warrants.
Outstanding restaurant!! Food is top quality and Service is something to write home about. Good wine selection and the owner stops by every table to see if you are satisfied. One of our favorite when in Galveston. Next door to The Grand 1894 Opera House so wonderful location.
An elegant fine dining experience, with superb service and exquisite food and fine wine. For a truly decadent appetizer I highly recommend the tempura lobster tail, which is mouthwatering. The main course of scallops in light creme sauce was the height of epicurean excellence.
