Great food & ambience.
Great food and drinks. Unfortunately, we waited 30 minutes for our table despite having a reservation. The staff were unapologetic and did nothing to even apologize or make it up with a small gesture. We’ve been to RPM Italian twice and both times the wait times for reservations have been unreasonable. This unfortunately leaves bad impression that a restaurant is almost too popular for itself, and I felt that they expected me to thank them for being able to host me. Had I been late 30 min, I imagine my reservation would be gone. Not fair.
Being a top restaurant is so much more than just food and flashy lights.
Remarkable food with impeccable service. Wine service is particularly good. They know their wines and are beyond capable on providing wines appropriate to the pocketbook, pairing and taste. Every Dish was fantastic - Artichoke, Ravioli, and Scallop and Brussel Sprouts dishes were superb
Although late to our table, the staff and servers went out of their way to make our dinner special. We had a lovely meal. The food was fantastic! Thanks for helping us celebrate

Anthony the manager made us feel like royalty. The food was all outstanding, standouts were the truffle risotto special and the rice pudding dessert. Lindsey at the bar gave us the perfect service for a nightcap afterwards. Overall a perfectly memorable birthday experience.
I was in Chicago celebrating my birthday. It was a girls night and four of us went to dinner. This was our first time at RPM Italian.. It was fantastic! Food was excellent. Waiter was great. Great ambiance. Will definitely return!
Great service from our waiter Nick. Filet mignon and swordfish couldn’t be better. Can’t wait to come back!
When we walked in the ambience threw us off with the hip club like vibe, the suede type booth, and the hip lighting. But the servers were very attentive, properly dressed, and knew the menu very well.
We ordered a half bottle, and started with fried olives and garlic bread. Then we ordered the lobster paste and roast pork. All of the food was amazing, and there were other items on the menu we are looking forward for the next visit. To finish the night, we had the tartufo, which was explained all so well as an oversized Ferrero Rocher.

I absolutely loved this place. The food was soooo delicious, the service was attentive, the restaurant was very pretty and clean. 100% recommend if you enjoy pasta
We had Jackie as our waiter and she was fantastic. Helpful with menu recos, attentive and generally a fun waiter that helped make our time at RPM great.
Food was delicious! It was loud and the tables are rediculously close together so request a booth! Our server was great the only thing that wasn’t great was the roasted cauliflower!
Everything was perfection! From the appetizers to the incredible desserts! Negative- got a parking ticket across from the restaurant. :(
What a wonderful experience! Very professional and engaging staff. Our waiter made excellent recommendations that did not disappoint. I recommend asking what the specials are. Also don't be afraid to spend money on the Black Shore Manhattan! The spicy octopus and spicy king crab dishes were immaculate. We also got the meatballs and garlic truffle bread. Also the lemon cake dessert has exquisite taste! Everything tasted superior and we enjoyed the ambiance on our date as well. Highly recommend coming here!
The food was absolutely delicious! Our table had the pizzette to start. It was ok, not great but not bad-just average by a good starter. We also had the meatballs-you must try these...amaze balls! For main course we had chicken Parmesan which was really good and the bucatini was cooked perfectly! Dessert was bombaloni, fried doughnuts, wonderful! Our waitress was so nice and knowledgeable. Only setback was the table next to us was so loud and obnoxious, not the restaurants fault at all just ruined a bit of the ambiance.
We had reservations but things were backed up. We were seated 25 minutes later at a table butted up against a column. Very awkward and crowded next to table nearby. Party of four. Meanwhile in a large booth sat two people. I understand that tables are prime realty for making money but it was a little crowded. The service overall was exceptional! Everything we ordered was delicious.

Fabulous dinner! Best meatballs and Roman style artichokes anywhere. 3 generations all give it two thumbs up!
Went to RPM Italian to celebrate Valentine’s Day; had a great experience - staff made a great wine recommendation for us. Food was delicious and we had a great time.

We traveled to Chicago for a weekend getaway with friends and suggested dining at RPM. They enjoyed it very much. We shared several plates and enjoyed all of them. The desserts were a fabulous ending!
Amazing food and service - as always! Not thrilled with the location of my table and a little noisy. Recommend risotto with black truffles. Heaven on earth.

Wondering if there was a change in the kitchen at RPM Italian recently. We dine there regularly, last time was in mid-November, and order the same dishes. Everything was a little "off" on Friday. The short rib bolognese was very saucy with little meat and the flavor was different. Not bad, but different and not hot. The potato gnocchi is very heavy on big mushrooms now. The Giuliana's Italian salad only has a little radicchio for lettuce now. Even the appetizers were a little off and or cold. The We typically have great service and this time felt rushed, still tipped over 25% and wasn't thanked. Thinking we aren't alone in thinking it's changed as the bar was not at capacity and I was able to get this reservation with ease the day of when typically they are booked. Will go back and see if it was an off night. Will still recommend for now.
Went for Valentines Day and had a lovely dinner. Great food, wine menu, and service. Loved every appetizer/small plate but I’ve had better pasta at other Italian restaurants in Chicago.
Food was good. Thought we had eaten better food at another restaurant. Service was excellent.

We’ve been here a lot - unfortunately have lost the ‘feeling special’ vibe this last time. The whole place seemed focused on getting people in and out.
Small portions but great service/food
Started at the bar. Wonderful bartender, Luke. Knowledgeable and polite and went the extra mile with all of our questions. Moved to dinner... great selection. Went w apps. Gotta get the cheese stuffed peppers and meatballs. Seafood risotto was wonderful and I don’t even like seafood. Gelato w espresso over the top is phenomenal. Great experience.

It was a nice night, but we ordered meatballs and never got them, our waitress forgot. Was looking forward to them, maybe if the waiters/waitresses could write down the orders they won’t forget.
