Great service, not rushed, a little too noisy.
We sat at bar. Appetizers and food were excellent.
I am standing here waiting for my table as I write this review.
A typical go to restaurant for us, tonight has been a BELOW sub par performance. I’m here with 4 adults(one of who is pregnant) and 2 children for a 745 reservation. Arrived promptly at 740, checked in and have been waiting ever since. The time is now 830 and I continue to wait. I’ve asked the host/hostess for updates on table multiple times but continue to wait. All they can say “waiting for tables to get up.” Well RPM, maybe enforce a 2 hour dinner limit as some restaurants do. OR , space out your reservations better so you don’t make loyal customers wait for tables. Especially for over 45minutes. Bad experience tonight , and will let other review services know as well. Poor job RPM.
Update. Table at 835. A 50 minute wait. Pathetic. And not even an apology.
Great food, great service.
Best Italian ever!
Upscale Italian, with a small sampling of pasta, seafood, and steak. Beautiful decor. Great service. Pricey for the portion sizes, but food is very good.
David Valdaze was amazing. He explained the specials and helped us through the menu, attentive, funny and polite. Made for the perfect date night.
Good food. Bucatini was a little al dente. Got another order of it, but it was the same.
I’ve been coming to RPM since the grand opening several years ago. Food quality has diminished slightly as I tend to order the same dishes.
Drinks are expensive.
Date night
Wonderful dining experience. Definitely be back next time in Chicago.
Excellent restaurant and great service. Thanks Travis our waitee. The food was amazing. You have to try the rissotto with black truffles... It's delicious.!
Lack of choices for vegetarians. Poor service. Over hyped place
We took my parents this past Friday. Food and cocktails were amazing. Didn’t like being put right in front of the drink service station in the corner, but what can you do.
It was a very good restaurant. Service good, food very good. My only issue is we had barely finished our appetizers and our next course was served, so we felt a little rushed. I would definitely go back.
Food, service and value were very good. However, we had major concerns with reception and seating. Our son was coming in from New York for Thanksgiving, so we made reservations more than a month in advance. I placed a special request along with my reservation; "Best available booth (preferably) or table not near front door, bathroom door or kitchen door, or waitstaff stand." Our party of three arrived 7 minutes before our 6:00 PM reservation. The receptionist stated that "our table was being cleared" and "it would be ready in a few minutes." She stated that she would "text us" when it was ready, to which we immediately replied, "No, don't text us, we will wait right here." We took a seat on the bench ten feet or so from the receptionist, and watched as party after party arrived and were seated. After 30 minutes of consternation, we inquired as to why it was taking so long for our table to be cleared. Because we had requested a booth, I assumed that this was the reason for the delay. The receptionist replied, " We texted you." Having made our reservation from a landline phone, she couldn't have reached us anyway. Regardless, if a receptionist sees a lone party of three staring at her from ten feet away for 30 minutes, shouldn't she at least ask why we're there?
After the debacle at the reception, we were led, not the nice booth we were expecting, but to the most remote table in the restaurant, situated perhaps two feet from the waitstaff stand, which, being Thanksgiving, was very busy and at times quite noisy and disruptive. And, I might add that two servers standing side by side in the waitstaff cubicle often resulted in having one's backside conspicuously close to our table. Because we passed several unoccupied tables as we were led to our designated spot, I suspect that this was indeed the receptionist's way of responding to our displeasure for the lengthy wait.
Despite the overall low rating given, RPM nonetheless remains one of our favorite restaurants.
Visit regularly but this was family for Thanksgiving. Great service and food on a special day
Thanksgiving lunch - Amazing food and service can’t wait to go again
We celebrated Thanksgiving and everyone had a great meal.
Perfect Thanksgiving meal for a destination Thanksgiving.
Amazing as always. Can’t get enough of the truffle garlic bread — a must have! Aaron, our waiter, was fabulous.
Our meal was ok, not the best meal I've ever had but the dessert was pretty amazing.
Would recommend this spot to anyone, great experience
Everything was great except getting hit by a falling drink at the bar. No ones fault but my back side was wet the rest of the night and made me a bit uncomfortable. Management made sure I wasn’t cut by the broken glass that hit me but didn’t care about my soaking dress and tights.
Fish for two was delicious and the fried olives were divine. The Parmesan truffle risotto was so so good... the Brussels sprouts were perfection and the artichokes were delectable and something I’ll crave until I get them again. Bills salted Carmel dessert was great too.
I can’t wait to go back and try pasta.
Awesome food and service!!!
Jake was helpful and attentive. I had a great Manhattan. Cute little sweets for a birthday celebration.
Great food
Fantastic experience! Great service-even better food!
Amazing service and food. Our waitress was amazing helping us navigate the menu and made delicious recommendations.
Incredible restaurant. We started at the bar for drinks and brought our favorite bottle of wine. The Som; I think her name was Allison’s, noticed and made the effort to ask if she could decant it for us while we waited for a table. She was also familiar with the wine. We enjoyed the Caprese Lobster as an appetizer. Delicious. We showed up early for our reservation in hopes to get seated and they were able to accommodate and seated us 30 minutes early. Our server was so friendly and took great care of us. We ordered warm bread, salad, and two pasta dishes. Everything was incredible. I wish I lived in Chicago and could eat there every night so that I could work my way through the menu. We will definitely be back.
The food and service was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the food!
Having dinner before a concert/celebrating a year of being engaged and getting our puppy! Always love going to rpm and the food is ALWAYS amazing.
Excellent all around Italian and wished I had more time while visiting to go back and try more on the menu.
The service was amazing and food even better. I definitely recommend asking the server about the specials and portion sizing as our server recommended the perfect options. We had the prime beef meatballs and garlic bread to start, pork chop, ribeye, and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious!
We love this place, it’s always good and fun to be here .
RPM never disappoints! The service and staff take the time to walk you through the menu and make recommendations depending on preference. Recommend a hot / cold plate to share for an appetizer (beet salad and octopus) which both were excellent.
RPM Italian was on my list for a long time...and it did not disappoint. Had an early 4:30 reservation. We had the full experience- 3 hours. Wine. Truffle garlic bread. Giuliani salad. Bucatini. Carbonara. Dessert. With wine and prosecco. Absolutely perfect dinner.
