We were seated at 8:15, at 8:45 we decided to leave because no one had even come to take our drink order, Nevermind any sort of meal or anything.
We came for the lobster special and it didn't disappoint! The lobster potstickers were crispy and delicious, the lobster tails were devine! And the chocolate souffle was so yummy! All of this for $39! Great value and delicious meal!
We came for the lobster special and we were very disappointed the lobsters were extremely salty and we did not really enjoy them at all
The level of care given during this difficult time was outstanding. We always celebrate our anniversary at Roy's, and were very happy to do so this year.
Love Roys! Great appetizers and the Hawaiian Martini is unusual and delicious. The sushi is always good, , lobster bisque wonderful. The bar staff and servers are so nice. We are regulars.
The Mai Tais, soup, salad and entrees were great as usual! Sean was our waiter and it was good to see him again. Noisy traffic on Topanga Canyon Blvd.
It's a bit pricey for the quality of the food, but overall is a decent place to dine for Fish in the Valley.
Roy's is our go-to wedding anniversary restaurant for years. Wonderful service and food.
Normally real good. For some reason this time the filets were terrible, presentation was not good and service was a little slow.
We really love Roy's.
Wanted to try their lobster prix fix.
Wasn't too impressed, but price was good.
Service is always very good.
They've done a great job creating a tented outdoor dining experience with heat lamps.
Eating at Roy's is the best experience with food, ambience and service. The Best!
The food, as usual was fabulous. The service is always great. They’re doing dinner in the parking lot, but they’ve tented it and it works.
I don't like your new tent. It's open on only one side which does not provide sufficient air circulation for me to feel safe. I was able to get a table on the open side so this visit was OK but I think you should have two sides open, or, at least, windows on the closed sides.
Open dining... a misnomer. 3-sides of “outdoor” dining experience closed off. Is that guideline per CDC/DHS recommendations???
The tables were set outside in a tent NO DECOR at all. No plants lights etc. it’s was a terrible atmosphere
We missed going out to celebrate our anniversary this year due to undergoing cancer treatments. But we were able to go3 months later and celebrate 2 things!!! End of chemo and being married 35 years!
We just love celebrating at Roy’s!!!
ALWAYS a pleasure. Our favorite "go to" restaurant.
Sean, our server, was excellent. Food was very good.
The food and service was great. Unfortunately there was a gentleman o cyber sidewalk waving a presidential candidates flag which created a lot of noise with profanity at times.
Inattentive waiter really hurt the overall experience.
Even though the outdoor dining forced us to be right on two main streets, the food and service made up for it as best they could. We were happy with the service and the food!
It was freezing and there were no heat lamps .......
Amazing food. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.
Great food, excellent service, and as good as an ambience as you can get for eating in a parking lot.
Could’ve used some space heaters outside
We always enjoy dining at Roy's. Really miss the Pasadena location. The Mahalo Monday special is something to take advantage of. I gave the ambience rating low due to the seating being outside in the parking area due to Covid concerns. That is less of a Roy's problem - more of an International problem.
Always one of our favorite restaurants. This is the first time we were able to go since COVID. Not quit the same, but we would still go back to the al fresco dining.
The ambiance is what it is in COVID. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and the deal they offered for a Monday night meal was fantastic.
lobster special was excellent, both in taste and value. Service was top notch.
Food is amazing at Roy's. Due to COVID dining is in the parking lot, so that is a compromise, though they did well in making it a special evening nonetheless.
Roy's always offers excellent service and quality as well as value. The ambiance is not their fault for outdoor dining. I can't wait to go back even under those circumstances.
Been here many times and love the food every time!
We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience from the food to the service. Roy’s has done an outstanding job with the Covid19 precautions. The tables were very well spaced, and the staff was wearing proper protective face coverings and gloves. I particularly loved the touchless menu system. Scanning the menu to read on your phone is perfect. I wish a lot more restaurants would follow suit. We will definitely return.
Great nite great meal great service...so glad to be back!
Due to Covid , we must eat outside. This did not distract from the great food and the beautiful ambiance Roy's manage to stage for their guests.
This time it wasn't the best. Our steak was overcooked. The au gratin potatoes were cold.
The mai tai's were not up to par. It was a birthday and usually even during covid it is presented with a candle and it says Happy Birthday on the plate. Asked the server and he's telling me it's because of a special. Then 2 were served plain and one had strawberries and blueberries. They were not on their game. We will try it again, but if it's like this we will not return.
The dinner was excellent, my wife had to butterfish, her favorite , I had the mahi-mahi. It was an enjoyable evening for both of us.
Due to COVID, seating was outdoors, yet they still served top notch food with great service. Noise level was worse because of street traffic but only a minor annoyance given the hardship restaurants have to face. Will go back again to support them.
We went for the October Sunday night Lobster dinner. There were some service hiccups- but all beautifully handled. The food was amazing, the value incredible, and our server seemed to genuinely care that we had a good night. It is such a pleasure to get out again. Thanks to all who worked to create a safe space.
We always love eating at Roy’s. The outdoor setting worked wonderfully.
