V day dinner with the kids. Everything was great. Service was excellent
Excellent service and food quality. Stuck out in lobby area so no 5 stars for that one. Very attentive, clean and professional.
Would return next time in Ohau.
Roy’s Waikiki is the only fine dining restaurant which offers vegan options. They even have a vegan 3-course Prix Fixe Menu! This is the reason I celebrate every special occasion here...Birthdays, Anniversaries and Valentines.
The service & food is always above par. My only complaint is that they do not have a vegan version of their Melted Chocolate Soufflé! Hint. Hint. Please!
Valentine's celebration. Great prefix menu with butter fish to start, filet mignon and shrimp finish with lava cake. Great meal! Service is always awesome here!
I set up a reservation for my girlfriend and I on her birthday. The greeting when we arrived as prompt and polite and we were able to be seated 30 minutes earlier than our reservation as they had already had our table ready. The server was very polite and made a lot of good recommendations. Food was great, ambiance was good too. Would definitely return.
Visited Roy’s to celebrate a pre-Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was well cooked and tasteful. Prestyn waited on us and his recommendations were spot on! So glad I choose this spot to take my special Valentine 😁
Very nice but very expensive. Celebrated my birthday and had a great time. Hard to get reservations
Great food and great service. We recommend going here!
Screaming baby made it less than memorable
We’ve been to Roy’s in Maui and now Waikiki. Both are great places for fine dining and a fantastic island vibe.
Poor ambiance after extensive remodel. Delivery time for enters was very slow . Food was very good
We went to Roy’s for dinner the first night of our honeymoon and it was a 10 out of 10! Great service, great food, great atmosphere. I would eat here all the time if I lived here!!!
They did an amazing job in surprising my daughter for her bday and doing an early valentines surprise for my love! They were all smiling and did great job welcoming us
Went for my Birthday dinner. The service and food were excellent. Good value and great dinning experience. My wife had the Mahi Mahi and I had the filet with shrimp. Both dishes were excellent.
The next time we are in Waikiki we will for sure go back again
Always look for the gravy! If you have an allergy or dietary restrictions, the people at Roys will make sure you have no worries, and it will be the best meal of your life.
Great location and a great variety of options but prices are expensive and portions are small. Waits may be long - definitely requires a reservation but it’s in the center of all the high end shops so killing some time waiting for your table isn’t too difficult- window shopping abounds
Lea was an outstanding server very professional and personable. Food was excimer as usual and manger Evan does an outstanding job making the customer comfortable making you dining experience second to none. Best Roy’s on the island. Thanks for everything.
Vacationing in Hawaii. Roy’s always makes us happy !!
Love the look and feel of the recently renovated space. General Manager Diva greeted us at our table which was very nice. Her staff - well trained by her and we received excellent service.
My guests were visiting from South Carolina. We selected from the tasting menu with wine pairing. It’s the first time I did so - and I was very happy with my selection of entree. We ordered the macadamia nut crusted mahi with lobster sauce. It was divine! My guests couldn’t stop raving about it.
I am a creature of habit. Once I like something - its my “go to” for that restaurant. At Roy’s - it’s been the butterfish...now I’m gonna have to alternate between the two!
It is definitely loud like some others have pointed out but that didn't detract too much from our experience. The food was amazing and overall our evening was enjoyable. We had noted it was our anniversary but no one mentioned it until the end when they brought out a complimentary dessert. We wish we would have known it was coming as we probably wouldn't have ordered another one. That said, they were both delicious!
Waited well past our reservation time to be seated. Very noisy. All staff was not very professional. Food was very good as expected. Not sorry I went because the food was good but probably won’t go back.
food was wonderful. had to wait 30 minutes past reservation time which was kind of a bummer. it was also pouring rain outside and very cold inside the restaurant. not fun when soaking wet coming in. the staff was very nice and accommodating, gave us free crab cakes to say sorry for waiting. they also ran out of opakapaka fish (the main reason I chose roy's to eat actually) while we were waiting that extra 30 minutes. they did substitute mahi mahi which tasted wonderful. all in all I would say do not miss this restaurant while in waikiki. worth wait and money.
Food was wonderful as well as service, but the noise level is terrible. Can’t hear the other person in your party who is sitting across from you. Noise level is the only issue.
We were on vacation. We always have a wonderful experience here. That’s why we keep coming back to this restaurant every time we come to Waikiki Beach.
Best dinner in Waikiki! Beautiful Snapper and three course set menu.
Good food and service. Great place to eat while in Waikiki!
Absolutely, without a doubt, bar none; this was the most amazing dining experience we, my daughter and I, have ever had the honor to enjoy!
Thank you so much, to the manager and his crew, for a delightful culinary extravaganza!
We will be boasting, and recommending, to all our family and friends.
Sincere praise and accolades to Roy’s. Love the Pinot!

Roy's is our go to place for special occasions and whenever we are craving great food! As usual, the food and service was wonderful. I am vegetarian and gluten-free and they have always managed to create a dish that tastes great. We had a party of four adults and a 17 month old. They provided a small appetizer plate for our little guest right away. She was able to enjoy her treat while we perused the menu.
All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
We were floored by the quality of the food at Roy's! You will not be disappointed.
The food was all that we had hoped it would be, outstanding. We each had something different, and each plate was a work of art as well as combining flavors that were unique and delicious. We were seated initially inside the restaurant where the noise level was unbearable. We weren't able to hear each other across the table. We asked to be changed, and they were able to accommodate us outside, much better.
Outstanding experience. The food, the service, the ambience ... All faultless. Thank you for making our last night in Waikiki such a memorable one ☺️
My husband and I went for our anniversary. The service was outstanding and so was the food.
Umm.... not good i think very expensive take to service
Great high quality food. Worth the money. Good service. Would go again any time.
Exceptional service and food
Every entree and appetizer was excellent. The waitress said the crusted mahi mahi was the most popular entree, and indeed it was the tastiest piece of seafood that had crossed my palate in years. For the quality, the 3 and 4 course menus are very good values at $55 to $75. Roy's particularly stands out because it is surrounded by so many mediocre, overpriced hotel restaurants - e.g. you can drop as much money for lousy food at the Hilton Village restaurants. BTW Roy's so-called "Hawaiian Martini" has nothing in common with a martini in that it is made with vodka rather than gin, but it is absolutely delish.
Everything was delicious
It was amazingly good, just didn’t understand why when we made a reservation we were a poor table. 3 people asked to move while we were there.
Great dinner! Good service. Kid friendly too! Reasonable prived
