Expensive California Cabernet was served in an inappropriate glass. Something more akin to a cheap restaurant. Servers were inexperienced college kids working off a script. Food was good but with so many great Waikiki area restaurants, not outstanding. I won’t be back.
We always love it at Roy’s! You’re training must be intense, because your people are just wonderful!
The vegetarian tasting menu was quite good. Thank you!
Good and service is good, noise level is quite high. We have been to Roy's at Hawaii Kai, and the ambience is quite different.
Exceptional food and exceptional service.
Excellent food! Appetizer sampler was great value
Amazing all round! Food, service, knowledge of the menu every question was answered! We were blown away and priced accordingly for the quality and even portion sizes are great!
horrible service literally had to keep asking the staff to refill our wine and water glasses
not fresh tasting fish the sushi roll was very bad
outside tables are on a very busy street with loud buses that go by and stop every 5 minutes
We go to Roy's a few times a year. The food is just so tasty! The Mac nut crusted mahimahi with the lobster sauce and the chocolate lava cake are amazing.
The service is usually pretty good but this last time it was exceptional. We were checked on by the server, busser and two other individuals. We were offered more lobster sauce for our fish which was made it even better.
It was a good seat by the window.
The number of items ordered and advice on recommended dishes were good.
The food was very delicious with a delicate assortment.
Exceptional service and food
Service was really good. Calamari wasn't that great. Entrees were ok nothing special. The pineapple upside down cake desert was delicious though.
Another satisfying Roy's experience. Food and service are tops. Only objection is the noise level.
We celebrated my husband's Bday, in Waikiki, always Fabulous,
Roy’s is a great place to celebrate a Birthday
Brought out of town visitors for a taste of HRC and Roy's was on point! Everyone selected some type of Prix Fixe and all were very happy...even if they threw in the towels without finishing dessert!
I haven’t been to the Waikiki location in a few years but remember the food being much better before. It was just okay.
Staff did a wonderful job to make our anniversary a special occasion. Very personable attendance of waiter and excellent service. Overall a wonderful experience.
We always enjoy our time at Roy's Waikiki. GM Diva is the BEST! Mahalo nui loa Diva.
Excellent experience Yoshi is an excellent server who made our experience complete...best Butterfish on the island and perhaps in the state!
Great place. Probably one of the best food we ate in Hawaii.
Enjoyed food, ambience and service. Just felt a little off, perhaps personal stress
Wonderful good and service. Fun staff. We would go again
We tried the set menu of 3 dishes. Everything was flavoured so well! My Mahi Mahi and my husband's filet mignon were both a little overcooked, but we were still able to enjoy it nonetheless. We had the chocolate souffle for dessert and it was amazing. It had such rich chocolate flavour!
Roy’s is a must try restaurant! Although it is quite expensive, it is worth the once taste tests.
Great food, great service and great ambiance!!
Quality of the food was not good. Very expensive. I rather eat at Denny’s which is exactly opposite to Roy’s.
Food was good. Service was especially good.
A good time was had by all.
The shrimp stick, the rib and the spring Roll were delicious and delightful. The Shashimi was amazingly great!
Everything we ordered was delicious. Service was very good. Nice place to go with friends.
Great experience! We are repeats and loved just as much this time as last. Great Food! Great service! Your Staff is great. Enjoyed some time at the bar this time. Great Bar Keep. Really knowledgeable about the dinner menu. Had good suggestions. Will definitely dine at Roy's next time in Honolulu. /s/ Joe
We had family visiting from mainland & chose Roy’s Waikiki to have nice dinner on their last night. The evening started well, service level was good then it tapered off. We asked the bus boy a few basic questions when our waiter was elsewhere, the bus boys response each time was “ask your server”... wish he could have taken more initiative to be engaging.
Food was ok. My daughter had vegan pre fixed menu - was not tasty, almost bland. The scoop of ice cream that came with her dessert was size of golf ball - really?!?!
The other entree items were ok - there were 6 of us. I ordered steamed fish & it was passable.
One thing that was very distrusting was the mud pie dessert. The menu did not make any mention of it being peanut butter layer. Most mud pies I’ve had usually have vanilla, chocolate and or coffee ice cream. If anyone with peanut allergy ordered this mud pie, there would have been some serious consequences. Need to fully describe the ingredients of this item.
Overall, the meal and dining experience was so so...I’ve had better experience at this restaurant.
The food it's good still I feel it's a bit pricey, pay close attention to the menu because the prices will startle you.
Greatest food we met cousin not seen in 7 years felt Roys gave us real RUSH
Steak was so dry. And all sides were horrible. I'll stick to eating at Hy's steak house next on the island.
The restaurant was extremely loud and someone kept passing gas in passing. The Mac and cheese had no taste.
Came and had a fantastic meal on the sunset menu. My god was the dessert amazing. Loved my time at Roy’s, great mai tie as well!
