Everything we ordered was fantastic! Our server was great, and helped us decide one a couple things we were having difficulty deciding. His recommendations did not disappoint!

As always, Roy's was great. However, we noticed it was not as quiet as before which was distracting. Still,, a nice evening with our guest who has never experienced Roy's before.

In my opinion Roy’s is one of the top restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area. The food is outstanding, and the wait staff treat everyone special. This restaurant is a real treasure in Tampa. Everyone needs to try Roy’s at least once, and you will be a customer forever.

We arrived at 1:30 and left at 3:00 pm. Food took an hour to arrive after the appetizer. The kid's meals were not at all tasty. The chicken fingers where burn out. The price for the mother's event was $44.00/pp. The value for the kid's meals were not in line for pricing. The desert took another 20 mins to arrive, even though it was pre-made. Not a place i will return for mother's day.

The food was very good. The service was awful. They did remove the drinks from our tab, but overall for a Mother's Day Celebration I wouldn't recommend it.

Roy’s doesn’t disappoint! On a recent visit, we were celebrating a birthday and the staff was terrific! Our cocktails were perfectly made and the wait staff didn’t rush us to order our food right away. When dinner arrived, each dish was delicious. The special touch was the “ surprise “ dessert for the birthday boy- delicious lava cake! Our evening was totally great!

The food was excellent as it is every time we have eaten at Roy’s. The service was superb. The manager always checks and make sure that everything is up to par which it certainly was. The Hawaii and martinis are a favorite of ours.

The butterfish was not a favorite. Price of fish and scallops was high. 2 people. No alcohol. One appetizer. With tip 125.00$. I probably won’t go back.

Roy’s is a restaurant that consistently proves itself. The food is so fresh and delicious, always fragrant. The service is very good and the servers are friendly. This visit was especially good !! Try the lobster pot stickers and the large sea scallops- you will be very happy!

Ridiculously overpriced, especially for the atmosphere and poor service! Waited for 10 min just to put our order in. Speciality Cocktail was mostly ice and filled only half way- not even 2 oz. Water and other Drinks were never refilled and asked several times from different waiters for additional needed items. On top of the $42 each entrée- substitutes were an additional upcharge. We were also placed at the very last table in a side room that resembled a Burger King and the place was not busy at all. Several other tables next to us were complaining and didn’t want to wait since we had already been there 2+ hours so we just paid in left. Terrible experience!

Great food! Moderate size portions, neither minuscule nor overfilled plates. The only disappointment was our server. She used a very low voice and seemed to confidence and the pace of the meal was very slow. We enjoyed talking with our guests, but even they commented on this as well. Since none of us was in a hurry, it was ok but not as we'd experienced previously.

Our entire experience was filled with trying to kill the never ending amount of flies at our table. The restaurant was extremely hot. The canoe appetizer was great. My fiancé and I both ordered the New York Strip for our meal. We are both very particular about how our steaks are cooked. Both of our steaks were extremely over salted. We thought the basil sauce that we got on the side might balance it out but nope. It’s was liquid salt with mushrooms in it. Did we send it back? No we both hate wasting food. We both ate what we could stomach and took the rest home to enjoy our salt at a later time. Our waiter was nice but lacked in some skill sets. Should be taught how to pour wine so it doesn’t run down the bottle and all over the table. Not my mess to clean up but still and observation considering this place isn’t exactly Chili’s. Second he thought it was a good idea to put the wine bucket at the end of our booth. From the booth I had to pick up and move this bucket just to get out. Not a big deal, funny more than anything, but once again this isn’t some rookie restaurant. That brings me to what it all boils down to. For four of us our bill was almost $700. Not one single experience could possibly justify coming here and spending this kind of money again. It’s simply not worth it. Especially when you have Fleming’s and Eddie V’s right next to it.

I took my fiancee last weekend for his birthday, and it was our first time going there. The staff there are so friendly and welcoming and even had a happy birthday card waiting for him at the table we reserved! And ended w/ a sweet birthday dessert and a picture from Roy's restaurant w/ a card. Thank you so much will be coming back soon... ps loved the pina colada!!! Thank you so much for making our night awesome !!!!

Although our server was very pleasant, she appeared to be too heavily booked and as a result our service was very slow. The food was good but not great (as it has been in the past) and the tuna sashimi was definitely not as fresh as it should be. Hopefully this was just an off night for a restaurant we frequent and in which we almost always have a great experience.

Roy's used to be my favorite restaurant but had a bad meal there two years ago and haven't been since but after looking at the menu thought that it had returned to normal so decided to celebrate my birthday there with my family. It was the WORST meal I have ever experienced - it was so bad it was almost comical .
First no sushi sampler available. We had to ask for wine - drinks were not offered on arrival. and eventually got a drink guessing 45 minutes maybe longer after being seated. My grouper was soggy, undercooked and inedible but the others were too polite to complain but I saw a lady left her steak. After the main course the bill was presented. When we asked for the dessert menu we were told the chocolate soufflé was off and the pineapple cake should have been ordered ahead - just key lime pie, so we ordered that. Then we were told that was off! My son asked for anything with a candle so they could sing Happy Birthday so they brought a chocolate brownie with a candle. I will say that the waiter was doing his best but something was wrong somewhere.
We had a six o'clock reservation and so expected to be served quickly but didn't leave till 8.45pm - too long for small children to sit. Very disappointing - made for a memorable family celebration which we will laugh about but we certainly will never be back.

Always love Roy's. After 9 years living in Hawaii, Roy's became a staple for a great dinner out for a special occasion, friends/family visiting or just anytime you want a great dinner. They are awesome with kids as well, quickly bringing a kids starter quesadilla and veggies (hopefully before a hunger meltdown happens) making it so much easier to go out to a nice dinner with little ones. This visit to Roy's for our anniversary was a great time to reminisce about our wedding rehearsal meal back in Hawaii. Again the meal was terrific and the service great. So glad to have this little piece of Hawaii here in Tampa!!!

This is a great restaurant with a great menu variety. The seafood is excellent with a good mix of appetizers, sushi, and steaks! Waiter service excellent! Good recommendations and I followed them for appetizer and entree. Got the 4 fish entree- salmon, tuna, mahi, and butter fish. Best way to try their customer favorite menu items in one shot.

Pleased with everything we ordered. Drinks are abut pricey but highly recommend the Jalapeno margarita.

Only draw backs are high noise level and not great ambience, but who cares when you are there to eat!

My friend and I had a wonderful time st Roy’s for aloha hour last night. The food: lobster pot stickers, Ebi Roll, and the chocolate soufflé were wonderful! My first molten chocolate soufflé was not “molten” enough and my server replaced it immediately. People were always checking in on us to ensure that we had everything we needed, I will return!
