This is the best Roy’s on the main land. We’ve tried several of the Roy’s locations and in our opinion Rancho Mirage is the best. Excellent food and service. Kudos to the staff.
Food and service were outstanding! Good drinks. Have never had a bad meal here.
Enjoy ed their Mahalo Monday promotion where $45 gets you app, entree and dessert from the menu (only a few exceptions). Generally I find Roys to be way overpriced but good food. This promotion provides great value and allows you to enjoy their good food at a reasonable price. Everything we ordered was very good. Had an excellent waiter. Funny, yet professional.
As always, Roy’s did not disappoint! The food was phenomenal, the service impeccable, and the special birthday treats appreciated. Roy’s is our “go-to” place for birthday, and anniversaries, but we also love to go for no good reason other than great food, lovely atmosphere, and the attention to detail that is Roy’s!
We had a very wonderful evening. Definitely would return and recommend to others.
If you want a great place that is always consistently good ...and the drinks from the bar are great (Thanx Palmer). Don't hesitate!!
Service was very good, nice young man. Wife’s meal ok. Mine came lukewarm and missing side dish. Mentioned it to waiter. Apologized but no adjustment or offer to bring it over.
Exceeded our expectations. Service was excellent and food wonderful. I had the Hamachi, which was wonderful, but wish I had the parmesan bacon crusted Chilean Bass my husband had. Scrumptious!!
I've never had a bad meal in any of Roy's Restaurants.
We came to Roy’s to celebrate our anniversary. Karen our server was wonderful made us feel special and the food was delicious (:
best fillet and lobster and Amy our server was outstanding!!
Celebrating a birthday. The waitress suggested a combo special of their miso butter fish and short ribs. It was excellent! And the portions were filling, not skimpy. Definitely recommend this restaurant, along with all The Roy’s restaurants.
We have visited this location on many occasions but this time we were disappointed. The Mai Tai I was served at the bar during Aloha Hour had a strange flavor and not very good. We ordered the crusted ahi roll appetizer and it too was not very flavorful and the ahi was almost non existent. My wife took one bite and refused to eat anything more. The noise level in the restaurant is extremely loud and it is almost impossible to hear what is being said by the person right across from me. The short ribs were plentiful and tasted good although they were slightly charred. My seabass special was nicely prepared and came in a tasty sauce. Our server had a heavy accent and was difficult to understand.
Amy, our server was great. She was very outgoing yet professional. An added plus was the appetizer for my 1 year old granddaughter & her complimentary dessert. Says a lot about the restaurant & staff...everyone is welcomed. And it sure felt that way.
The food was tasty but we felt overpriced for the portions.
Definitely going back!!! Loved it!
We had a reservation and were sat very quickly. The last time we were at Roy’s was in Arizona and I feel the ambience was better there. This time it felt like any other restaurant and nothing special. The open kitchen was nice. We were sat at a table behind the hostess desk and the room for private events. Unfortunately the door to that room was in my line of sight and there was some type of medical event going on with medical procedures on a projector screen which I saw every time the door was opened, which was a lot. Kind of ruined the evening for me. The food was good but not excellent. I was expecting so much more and this dinner just didn’t live up to it.
Place is nice a little bit dark but very nice, staff is great as usual, that is why we will keep coming back.
Some other clients do not respect and were loud, nothing to do with restaurant which is awesome
Love Roy’s always great food, service etc...can’t wait until next time.
Food was outstanding but our server was the best‼️Her name is Amy and we will request her table when we return
Always love Roys....our go-to dining spot in Rancho Mirage!! All the staff are fabulous and our waiter, David, takes excellent care of us. And the food is top notch thanks to Chef Joey and everyone in the kitchen. We are never disappointed when dining at Roys!
we celebrated my husbands birthday. the food and service were great!
only suggestion is if we knew they were giving him a bday dessert we wouldn’t have ordered the bread pudding
it was too much. we hated that it was wasted
since we didn’t have a fridge at our hotel we had to leave it.
We were at Roy's for our anniversary. Right from the get go it was a lovely experience. There was a congratulations card on our table for us as well as it written in chocolate on our dessert plate. The staff was gracious and the food as always was perfect. The food portions are just right and the flavors well matched. We look forward to our next anniversary there as well.
We tried the new Korean pre fix menu for something different. We also enjoyed having a discount from an email Roy's had sent, it made us not hesitate on ordering more food.
The service was slow in the bar area where we sat at the open kitchen. However, in the dining room it was very good. The food was excellent, the cocktails and wine, very good. We will be back.
My husband and I took our good friend to Roy's to celebrate her birthday. This was not our first visit and as usual, we were not disappointed. The experience was very good from the valet to the hostess and server. We each had a different entree and all were perfect! As our server took our order, she advised that the birthday lady would receive a complimentary dessert but if we were interested in the chocolate souffle, we needed to order that with our dinner order. Since we were familiar with Roy's, we definitely order the chocolate souffle and split it between the ladies. My husband doesn't care for chocolate so he took the complimentary dessert. I have to say, this is the best chocolate souffle around. Worth a trip to Roy's just for dessert! We will definitely return and we highly recommend it to all.
Food bland, cheap ingredients, badly cooked and hugely overpriced.
A very underwhelming and disappointing experience.
Used to be much better 10 years ago.
Dinner was amazing! From cocktails at the bar to dessert, we were always made to feel special. We love Roy’s!
Great Meal , awesome cocktails, can highly recommend the aloha hour
The ambiance, food and service were excellent. The Butter Fish was excellent, as was the chocolate soufle, and BDay Torte.
Valet was great...service in the restaurant could have been better. Drinks were great and the food was great.
Dinner was amazing and complemented by the most exceptional service from our server, Mary. Thank you!!
Food and wine was great and so was Stephanie. Will be badk next time in town
The Mahi-mahi dish was served cold and the Tiger shrimp were dry and over cooked. Our wait person, David, was as always excellent.
Always a great dining experience. This location is one of the best.
almost left while waiting fir drinks. Wish I had.
It was my birthday and had noted on reservation. No one acknowledged. Terrible service. Worst birthday dinner ever.
We love Roy’s and make a point of eating at the restaurant every time we visit the Palm Desert area. The food is excellent and the service staff is wonderful.
Food was excellent and very tasty. Portions were not US-size ones, but very good large portions. The only thing to improve: sake has to be hot - you just get it hot on special request, but it was just warm!
I had the Salmon bibimbap. Overall, the taste was quite good, however, the whole dish was overcooked. The gochujang schemer was all dried out (did it sit on the pass too long under heat?) and I couldn't get any of it so had to ask the server for some on the side. The salmon was slightly overcooked but worst of all, the egg yolk was set -- not at all runny.
My husbands salmon was also a bit overcooked but he loved the ahi and the butterfish.
