It was wonderful as usual & the car valet took our picture for us when we left!
Really nice birthday dinner. Our waiter was excellent and extremely service oriented.
The place to go when you want a good variety of seafood dishes.
We were welcomed to the restaurant with complimentary valet parking and Aloha at the front desk. The restaurant was nicely decorated with a positive energy. The food was excellent, Mahi Mahi and the Chilean Sea Bass. Both dishes were excellent. The pineapple upside down cake was excellent to. The service was very good and attentive. Overall an excellent and memorable dining experience.
A very enjoyable dining experience with good selection and very tasty!
Consistently some of the most distinctive and scrumptious food we find at restaraunts.
Lovely service, great food. It’s a bit noisy but we were able to sit in the back and that helped. Would eat there again.
Roy’s never disappoints. Wonderful dining experience as always.
Food wasn’t too bad but service not up to par.
Fantastic evening as always. We love Roy’s. Enjoyed their Seabass.
Very expensive, entrees in the $50 range, but great food and excellent service. Plan on $150 a person for three courses. Best lobster bisque ever in my lifetime with lots of fresh lobster. The testing fish plate with 4 types of fish was outstanding. Waite staff was exceptional and very helpful. Not a place to go to on a weekly basis, but for that special night...a yes!!!
As usual, the food in Roy's was great! The only complaint I have is that when 2 women have a reservation, they sat us in a table along the wall where we faced each other. This is appropriate for a couple but not for 2 women. The restaurant was only 1/4 full so it's not like that was the only table. We requested to be moved which they were able to accommodate us. This is the3rd time this has happened at this particular restaurant, so it's not like this was an unusual situation.
First we had cocktails and appetizers at the bar. Had the spring rolls and the Lobster Pot Stickers very good! The bar area was very full at 4:30 no tables left. Next we had dinner. We ordered the seafood sampler and the shellfish platter. Both were very good!🙂
The service from your serving staff was outstanding and the quality of the food was as
good as you will find anywhere in the valley.
I was very upset about the quality of the fish. It was clearly not fresh, and the preparation was mediocre at best. In addition, I had an edamame that was mushy and tasted off. I don't normally write reviews, or, if I do, they are positive ones, but this was really an unpleasant experience and I would not recommend diners go to Roy's.
Always can count on this restaurant to satisfy your desires. Thank you Giselle for a lovely evening. Your service and that of you co-staff was delightful.
Great we always enjoy our time at Roy’s. David and Ricardo and our server this time make it fun!!!
Always good with excellent service
Delicious!! We had the brunch menu and I’m already dreaming of coming back. Great service from our waiter Palmer.
Not as good as I remembered. Food was OK, wine was expensive. Sushi was not very good.
For a chain, Roy's is great. Perfect spot to go when you don't want any surprises. Our server was superb; we requested a booth and were seated promptly. Sushi was delicious, as were our cocktails. Love Roy's.
Ordered the New York Strip medium rare and it came very rare. The cut had very little flavor. It seemed the chef didn’t use any salt or pepper. The sauce was pretty good but sauce doesn’t take place of seasoning a steak.
My dinner companion ordered the crusted mahi mahi. The crust was soggy and the fish was watery and bland. For the prices we paid we had expected much better food.
We had never been to this restaurant and had high hopes and were very disappointed. We doubt we will be back.
Always enjoy Roy’s when I visit Palm Desert
the food is great! it is a place for special occasions. the noise level was high. but highly recommend Roy's.
Had a great first time there. We will be back again for dinner and we will not be alone
We had an amazing meal, that was both delicious with far more healthy options than I expected. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. We are going to return again next week. Why have never gone before?
Entree was great, salad was wilted
Always a super experience eating here. The staff works harder than any other restaurant in the valley. The food is consistently good and there is always a seasonal special offered!!
We typically receive great food and service from Roy’s and this time didn’t disappoint.
Food very salty
We asked for dinner roles or something additional and waitress said they do not serve bread and offered only edamame. Could have suggested something more.
Very accommodating service, menu was great! Drinks perfect
We always have had a good meal at Roys. But this time the food came luke warm. The food would have been better had it been hot. This is the first time we have had this problem.
Beautiful birthday dinner for my husband
We’ve been dining at Roy’s for many years and always love it! The miso butterfish is 5 star!!!
The lobster potstickers were fabulous.
The lobster bisque was good but in the past there has been much more lobster meat and much less bread croutons.
I was a little disappointed with the lobster bisque.
The lava cake and bread pudding were divine!
David is our favorite waiter!
Entertaining visitors from out of town and two in our party had never been to Roy’s. They were not disappointed - food and service were terrific!
Pricing is climbing too high for what you get
Food wasn't worth the price. Fish was ok, server was the best thing.
I live around the corner, and I love Roy's. It's not inexpensive, but I think it's worth it.
Great food and service, as we have come to expect at Roy’s. Thanks and see you again!
Everything was great except the hostess’s. We received a gift certificate for Christmas as we usually dine in El Paseo.
We had 6:30 reservations and arrived around 6:10 to have a cocktail in the bar. The hostess’s were not friendly told us we were not allowed to go In the bar that we could stand at the servers pick up area and grab a drink. There was no where to sit so we stood for about 30 minutes with a cocktail waiting to be seated. I understand and appreciate not over crowding the bar but we were treated like we were children and being scolded by the hostess who may have e been 20. There’s always a friendly approach they may need to be trained to be friendlier.
