Very loud inside. Server was over extended with being able to take care of his tables. Tables were close together and you could hear the other tables conversations.

Food was good but beware you only get 4 scallops with that dish.

Went to Roy's to try out their brunch and celebrate a birthday. They made the entire experience exceptional! They made us feel special, were very attentive, provided a free appetizer and free dessert, which were both fantastic! Our server was a joy. She offered great recommendations and made sure our bottomless mimosas were never dry. It was such a great birthday celebration. Thanks Roy's for making us feel so special! We will definitely be back.

I love Roy’s Happy Hour and Sun & Mon Prix Fixe menu. Finding Roy’s in Jax was a pleasant surprise after we had enjoyed it so much on Oahu!

Excellent food and service. Went there for the first time for Christmas dinner. Expensive, but well worth the price. Wine list was extensive, but seemed to be very pricey. Good for special occasions. Too expensive for frequent dining fore our budget.

At one time the food was quite good. Last time we had dinner clearly the quality had gone downhill. We had dinner on Christmas Eve and it was really, really poor. I live in Jacksonville and read several months ago that Roys received poor results on food inspections. I doubt we will return.

I’m disappointed to have to give Roy’s a bad review as we have had very good meals here in the past. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The lighting was too low, unable to see menu without phone flashlight. The waiter rushed through any details he was providing and it was hard to hear him due to the noise level. Our entrees were were subpar, not what you would expect for the $25-$40 range. Specifically the mahi mahi seasoning was way too salty, two of us had this problem with the fish. The tiger prawns were just okay and again not worth the price. Unfortunately we have been having these same issues the last few visits. We won’t be back for these expensive entrees.

Food took forever, overpriced for small portions. Can get better sushi down the street for half the price. Manager apologized for late food and didn’t charge, then covered our valet....but food wasn’t up to par for what you’d expect at this price point.

Outstanding food and service. I was very impressed that the manager came by and when I told her we were headed to Chicago in a few days, she gave me her card and said to call if we wanted to dine in the Roy's there and she would make a reservation for me.

I was in town and took my son there for a dinner with Dad. He commented that the last time he had good food at a nice place was when I was last in town about 2 months prior. That says 2 things.. he thinks Roy’s is a very nice place and Dad has good tastes in dining.
I think our waitress was Rosa.

Normally, I love Roy's, however, our last experience was dreadful. I ordered the shellfish sampler which was supposed to come with lobster, shrimp and scallops. There were no scallops so when we were able to finally flag our waiter down, we let him know. I was finished eating when the scallops finally arrived. Then we ordered a dessert, it took 35 minutes for our pineapple upside down cake to arrive. The waiter apologized and said it was his fault he should have told us at the beginning of our dinner, he did warn us the molten cake would take 20 minutes but never mentioned any other dessert. I don't understand why a cake would take that long, typically they don't make a cake to order, it is prebaked. Our waiter never asked if we'd like another drink or if we liked our food, he was not attentive at all.

It was a holiday and we didn't anticipate there would be a limited menu. Service was quite slow and underwhelming. Food was so-so. We knew it was more expensive going in, but given the limited menu things were fairly disappointing. Oh, well.

Roy's has been our go-to restaurant for treating visitors. Especially notable for the seafood dishes. However, our Thanksgiving day visit did not quite live up to expectations. Although the seafood dishes ordered were very good, they lacked the "wow" we have come to expect. The "traditional" meal, with turkey and trimmings, was disappointingly salty, luke warm, and lacked flavor. The low ratings are due to the cost of the meal not meeting expectations.

Hadn't been to Roys I quite some time. Wow. What a huge disappointment. Our poor server tried her hardest but even she was embarrassed. Took over an hour to get our appetizers which were the best part of the experience. A tempura sushi roll, miso soup and short ribs... and they weren't fabulous but tastey enough we finished them.My Roast chicken entree was terribly dry, blackened mashed potatoes tasted like blackening seasoning and nothing else. Not sure where the gravy was. Tuna entree had no flavor nor did the bok choi. Finding a decent Chardonnay was a challenge. Date cake was so dry- never should have been served. I have submitted several reviews and always find positive things to say in addition to the criticism but after paying the $211 bill(not including tip- we took care of our server) the only positive I can come up with is the effort of our server. I could not, in good conscience, recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I️ used to LOVE Roy’s! It’s really turned in a bad way. Everything we got was over cooked and dry except the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was amazing as usual! The server was hard to find, our drinks were constantly empty ( both our water and our Hawaiian martinis); she was not detail oriented and got our dessert order wrong. Just overall disappointing. Wish we had a better experience as we used to go there for Aloha Hour & dinner all the time and were excited to see the bar was expanded. Will try again, as hopefully we just had an off night. With the amount of money we paid we could have went to any nice restaurant in Jacksonville. It’s hard to overlook this experience.
