Sat outside with heaters and beautiful outdoors. Greeted by asst. waiter "Johnnie"
who did a great job and was very friendly.
Had appetizer assortment - was great - and 2 sushi rolls for entree. All food was excellent and presented by a great staff. Definitely recommend.
Service could have been a 5 except my birthday was forgotten. When we mentioned it, they tried to resolve it by bringing more drinks and dessert, but we didn’t want that, I wanted to be acknowledged in the first place. The noise level was only bad from the people next to us taking phone calls on speaker. Very annoying. This was my second year coming for my birthday. I’m going to pick another spot for next year.
Food was outstanding. The decor was a bit outdated. The Service was above average, waiter was attentive. We enjoyed the meal.
Server Danny was terrific.
Great food and Great Staff.... Through in unique cocktails and it's all fun.
We had the best experience, thank you to the entire staff from the two at the front desk to the all the wonderful waiters and waitresses that helped us that evening. It was my birthday so to have a dessert plus chanpagne was an added delight. Each time we come to Arizona, we always come to Roys, we have been to both that are in this area. We have friends coming and we are planning on bringing them with us to dinner. Once again, thank you for the best dining experience
Our waitstaff was so kind and accommodating! Delicious food as always. Highly recommend.
Great food and great service as usual.
Far too expensive for the quantity of food that is serve. No bread, little garnish, and a lack of vegetables. And extraordinarily, you charge me $10 to park after a rather expensive meal.
We love Roy’s
Please do not mandate employees wear masks
Not the Roy's I remember.
The food sea bass and pot stickers was just a bunch of butter
Food was mediocre at best. Service was good and convenient for staying at resort.
All three of us are either pescatarian or vegetarian and there were plenty of items to choose from. We had a great meal, great veg sushi and delicious cocktails!
The restaurant was fairly empty right after New Year's weekend. Our server was very good and was proactive in handling the food allergies two of the guests have. The meal was excellent and the whole experience was extremely good.
Love the butterfish! This is our go to restaurant when we want great food and good service in Scottsdale
Perfect dinner on New Years Day!
There was a pre set menu for New Year’s Eve which had fabulous dinner options! Food and service was great! The only negative was 90% of the tables had white tablecloths except 5 tables which was one of ours. That said, the ambiance was nice but not great.
New Years. For the money, I thought it was ok at best. Food was not hot. Other things ordered came perfect. Waited 15 for steak knives. I never complain. Ever! This was warranted.
The dish didn't have the promised Mahi-Mahi, and the waitress just said "maybe it was small". We waited 20 min with dry glasses to get another drink... Very poor service
As a party of 2 we were placed in the back room with large parties which made it unbearably loud - especially for a NYE date. They were gracious and sat us in another room which was much quieter. We were disappointed that there was not a full menu and had limited selections for a pre fixe of $125pp. Been to Roy's in Baltimore and Hawaii. This one was a disappointment - not sure if it was because of our selections.
Amazing New Year’s Eve dinner.
Roy's is always enjoyable. I had the butter fish and braised beef combo. My wife had the Ahi Tuna. We also shared a wedge salad, lobster bisque and flourless chocolate cake. The fish is outstanding but a little on the salty side. Other that that, the food is very good, but on the pricey side. Entrees are in the 40s. The Marriott Roy's is very noisy so if you are hard of hearing, everyone will need to speak loudly. Overall, a great place for a special occasion or just a nice night out with your spouse, significant other or family.
Very noisy. I felt like my party was sitting at a table in the hallway.
Excellent food. Good service. Nice environment. Would definitely go back. The lobster potstickers and the scallops were delicious!
Been to many Roy’s and this by far was the most Mediocre experience.
Food was OK…. Service was average, but not great and just the overall experience is not one we would pay 125 pp for again.
I’d suggest to look elsewhere.
Sushi, steak, and lobster were all amazing! Our whole party enjoyed our food
We did several courses of small plates. The cocktails were great. The Rye me a River is tasty and lovely.
We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my birthday. The chef’s special scallops and the day’s fresh catch - mahi - were both very tasty.
Decor is dated and sterile. Food was hit and miss. Tanner and team were very good. Would not repeat.
Service was awful. Took 20 min to get out drinks, and server didn’t come to check on us. Then we ordered salad as a starter and it barley had dressing so we had to wait another 5 min to get a side of dressing. We placed our order and ordered red potatoes and server said we are out of them so we said ok mashed potatoes are fine but when our meal came we got red potatoes. Then as we are eating another server comes with our Order as a doble order. Hot mess. Then as we are eating we had to place doble our drink order at a time because it took 20-25min for any of our drinks. Not just from the bar but even soda. Our server only came to our table a few times.
As always a wonderful meal! Our waitress, Rachel, was excellent! This was a great Christmas dinner - we were all stuffed and happy when we left.
Thank you for a wonderful meal!
Went on Christmas Day. Food was less than mediocre. It was like warm at best and the price was ungodly expensive. I would not ever go back.
This is our 3rd year going to Roy's for the Holiday menu on Christmas day. It is always excellent! A walk around the grounds is a delight for after dinner
Overall the relaxed atmosphere is always great for Christmas dinner. The filet mignon is excellent! Your servers will go above and beyond to create a pleasurable experience. The menu options are limited on holidays. So, if you have a little one, that is a picky eater, you may want to feed him/her beforehand.
I am a huge fan of Roy’s food and have been coming there for years. I live locally and have gotten take out many times too. Usually the food is top notch. I realize you to have a fixed menu and serve on Christmas it is different. I just wanted to let you know the ahi roll was cold when I got it and looked liked it had been sitting for awhile and the macadamia mahi mahi was over cooked. The bottom of it was very firm and the fish dry. I chose not to say anything during the meal as I know everyone was doing their best and I was spending it with my 84 yr old mother. Just wanted to give some honest feedback.
Wonderful experience for holiday dinner. Server and Assistant Server were the best! Short ribs and tenderloin top notch. A little noisy. But where isn’t noisy when it’s busy.
We had a reservation but we’re seated all the way in the back against an outside wall with no window and next to a large party making normal noise but did not need to be next to them. Many other tables were available. Food was okay at best and I sent my medium well steak back, I ordered medium rare. For a $80/plate meal, my appetizer was undercooked, I was extremely disappointed by the entire experience.
The food was excellent and plentiful. The service was impeccable. The whole experience was better than we expected. We highly recommend Roy's
